  1. From what I can remember. . .when EJ was in jail with Clyde as his cellmate, EJ remembered what Clyde did to him. During that confrontation, Clyde said he was going to get back at EJ. Clyde's revenge was to attack/kill Belle, EJ's mistress who he wanted to drop like a hot potato when Sami returned. (My recap might be off, so please correct and add.) Somehow, Clyde found his way into Abigail's room and accidentally killed her. Yeah, the writers needed to come up with something, this was it. Chalk this up to another accidental death in Salem, i.e., Laura Horton and Adrienne Kiriakis.
  2. Just so I have this straight, Days wrote a story about A) A man who would rather marry a grifter than be told the truth. When said man was told the truth was so outraged, he devised a plan to kill or get back at them. or B) A man killed a woman and attempted to kill a man because _______???? This story is on par with Adrienne's and Laura's deaths, it wasn't warranted or welcomed.
  3. I know people mourn in all different ways but Abby died 4 months ago. Do the crack head writers at Days really think Chabby fans will get behind a Chad and Stephanie pairing so soon? Let’s not forget, Abby was the love of Chad’s life, mother of his two children. . . O, wait this is Ron who clearly has pictures on someone because he has been allowed to kill whoever he wants without a real reason or story. Has Days ever brought back a character from the dead who pop up as a ghost?
  4. If Craig is the killer, what a waste of two characters. “It will shock Salem”. . . No, Ron, nobody is shock at your horrendous writing/story telling. What is shocking is that the executives at Days still believe in you as their head writer.
  5. Are the Abigail scenes in the promo meant to give Chabby fans closure so we can root for Chad and Stephanie? If so, nope not going to happen. Yes, and apparently that includes a love triangle with Chad and Ben Alex. I can't root for this, sorry. Ron is also redoing a story from (I believe) 1997 in which Roman was sick and needed an orchid for an antidote. John, Hope, Kristen and Stefano (?) worked to find it in the jungle. I guess Mike was brought back to help Jennifer and maybe find the cure to for Kayla, Kate, and Marlena. I just hope they don't wind up killing him off too (a la Laura Horton).
  6. This is idiotic. How can the writers spin this? Nancy snapped (lost her mind) after her husband came out and her being supportive of Craig at the wedding was all a ruse. If anything, wouldn't the story be Nancy killing Craig and framing either Leo or Clyde?
  7. SO much this ☝️ This too ☝️. Jennifer has a pill problem. It started when Laura died and then exacerbated when Abigail died. Did I interpret that correctly? If so, the writers could have really built this story up, woven it between Laura's and Abigail's death. They had Maggie come over and within minutes spot the pills. Then, Jennifer, seconds later confesses and goes to an AA meeting. I know there is more to come with this story, mainly Gwen because everything revolves around her within the Deveraux family. What I would have liked seeing, Abigail helping her mom through this addiction over Laura's death. I can't believe I am saying this, but they could have even incorporated Gwen too. But Days only works around certain actors schedules or can't be bothered recasting. I assume this story will drag out and Jack will finally get a clue around February 2023 sweeps when we finally learn who killed Abby framed Leo. Stephanie is Chad's support system. . .are you kidding me??? You can chem test all you want but come on, Stephanie wasn't even at Abigail's funeral (remember, she sent flowers), but she now wants to be there for Chad and the kids. Gotcha. One more thing, (my opinion) stop making Stephanie Abigail. I cannot even go there with Alex. . .perhaps another day. I still cannot believe that Abigail's death is all about LEO. One bright side to today's show, I liked that Justin thought of Adrienne and wished he could hear her voice. Yeah, me too as this whole Bonnie/Justin romance is a slap in the face to Adrienne/Justin fans. Although Bonnie provides some comic relief (and I adore Judi Evans), what does the character bring to the table? They have written her to be so much like Adrienne, but with a little spice. I don't need the spice, I need my girl back.
  8. The romance and smart story telling is gone. Whoever is advising them, focus groups, consultants, etc., is leading them astray. I prefer bringing back legacy children over new characters as it helps pass the torch, however either way you need a vision. Characters need to be more than one dimensional. This is why character driven stories are important as it builds growth. Where does Gwen and Leo fit after Abigail's murder is solved? With Leo's help, she starts to harass cousin Stephanie? Where does Jada fit after Nicole and Eric get back together? Where does Sloan fit or is she already gone? Starting on September 12th, you will need to pay in order to watch Days on Peacock. However, the blue print of Days is wrong and I don't think longer shows or stronger language is the key to a turn around. A clean slate of writers and producers might turn this ship around, but it seems Days is going to see this through with Ron C. and Albert Alarr at the helm.
  9. Adrienne, I wish it was her. I love Judi Evans but I would rather see her play Adrienne than Bonnie.
  10. Here is my gripe with the Stephanie, she is basically Abigail. Bringing back Stephanie was fine, in fact, it would have been great to have JJ, Abby, Sonny, and all the cousins back. However, you need to separate the character of Stephanie from her cousin Abby. The similarities are too much. Now, with her bonding with Chad. . .
  11. If Peacock is trying to increase viewership and subscriptions, wouldn't NBC pick a solid show with strong writing. Why pick a last place soap opera? I get that Days averages 1.5 million, but you can't expect all the fans to cross over. Wouldn't a show averaging 4 million be a better choice because perhaps you can gain half that audience? As it stands, the stories right now are not convincing me or others to make the move, even with a low price tag. In general, the story-lines are not there. I can't see many fans sticking around once the price increases in a years time. If you think Ron's writing or Days producers will start making better decisions/choices because they are now on a streaming service you are surly mistaken.
  12. After today's show it's oblivious someone is setting Leo up. Please tell me this is not happening. . .Ron killed off Abigail (legacy character) to develop a story around Leo.
  13. Are her eyes opened or closed during the seizure? Eye movement during a seizure can help distinguish seizures caused by epilepsy from those that are psychological in nature. Eyes closed = psychological Eyes opened = epilepsy
  14. Could the writers have used the word "they" to keep the audience guessing whether it was male or female? The "they" is referring to gender instead of more than one.
  15. Gwen in the holding room speaking with Leo. . . Gwen: "this whole this is stupid" Audience: "Yes, Gwen, this whole story is stupid. The one thing we agree on."
