However they were, or should have been in position to block escape routes and the like if they were just used like the Howling Commandos or a SHIELD strike team with Captain America once had.
They'd also have known the local area better, and known that a biological weapons plant would make a better terrorist target than a random police station. They could also have switched all those civilian scientists with armed professional soldiers, and had a decent chance of sorting all the non-super soldiers themselves; leaving the Steve et al to concentrate on one guy.
Out of interest - I wonder how the US authorities (and populace) would react if someone had direct knowledge of a planned terrorist attack on US soil, but decided not to alert the authorities? I somehow doubt they'd be bending over backwards to excuse, and even thank, the individuals concerned - far more likely to presecute them and either throw them in jail, or an illegal overseas torture camp / jail.

Yeah, he sincerely believed he had fulfilled his purpose, and fulfilled what he had promised to do when he agreed to the serum but then... "oh no, you're not done yet." And I think Sam is really the only one that gets it from that perspective.
Of course, Sam is also the only other person who was in the military, finished his career there, and then got back involved again

I'm still shipping Thor & Valkyrie. She has way more chemistry with him than Bruce IMO.
To be fair, Hemsworth can create chemistry with the sofa!

I honestly can't tell if you're joking or not, but... this doesn't show anything that will happen in Black Panther or Infinity War, it just fills in something that happens 'off screen' before either of those movies take place. So, not a spoiler for either of those movies, just additional promo information on where everyone has been when those movies start, some of which we've already seen in the trailer.
Not a joke at all. I've no idea if something I haven't seen contains spoilers for something I haven't seen yet. However, I seeing a reference to an IW comic in advance of the IW film coming out... It seems a valid question.
Source material and supplemental source material is typically considered spoiler territory though (your follow-up post suggests that this may well be supplemental source material). If it's information about thing that happen to a character since we last saw them - then I for one would classify that as a spoiler.
As for adverts and promos, I don't want him them, and keep to this generic thread, rather than the film-specific threads when we get to that stage.

Anyone here read the IW prelude comic? Can it be discussed or does it count as spoilers?
Surely it's as much of a spoiler as talking about the Lord of the Rings, or Game of Thrones books were spoilers for their shows?

Why was Luke able to touch Leia when he was just a projection?
That's exactly why I rejecting my nephew's theory that Luke was a hologram.
Mrs Tyler suggested that he doesn't touch Leia, and that it was his clue to her that he's just a projection, and is giving them hope, buying some time, but not answering their prayers (oh, and don't worry if they hit me with a million Lazer blasts)

It's been a while since I read the books but, I thought Slughorn came back with some of his Slytherin (former?) students and, fought against Voldemort?
My impression from the book was that Harry's contemporaries went to Voldemort but, older Slytherin chose to help Hogwarts.
That's my recollection too.
I always had problems with this area "there's not a wizard went bad who wasn't from Slytherin"... Except the most famous one (Sirius) of course.
Plenty of Slytherin's didn't go bad, and defended the school. The number of wizards who went bad must have been a tiny number compared to those who fought.

I like the cameos in Thor Ragnarok, but prefer the more subtle ones.
Peter Jackson and Cate Blanchett in Hot Fuzz would be my preferred cameo types

Looking forward to this - should make for a cheerful break from our current reality - which is probably why he isn't doing a 2017-wipe (it was depressing enough last year before the full horror of reality had hit)

Oh man, a partially crushed Iron Man helmet with their signatures would be amazing.
Plan B: Ask them to sign the Sokovia Accords.
You could ask them to claim individual dents; maybe a "wish you were here" to Mackie (or a "wish I'd been there" from him)

So do we think the wardrobe department meticulously put together the full linen ensembe that Odin was wearing in Norway? Or was that just what Anthony Hopkins rolled up in, and they decided to run with it?
Am I the only one getting the Dirk Gently reference here?
Odin left in a nursing home, bedecked in linens?

I think how much anyone cares about the mangling of Norse mythology is the same as for an other translation of source material to another medium.
Some people get upset because the comic/book had a couple of changes in translation, some are fine with it being ripped to shreds and sharing only character and place names.
As a rule of thumb, the more beloved the story, the more upset people are by the changes.
Some of us grew up with the stories of Norse mythology, Arthur and the round table, Robin Hood, Bilbo and Thorin, or real-life history. We tend to get upset when we see the horrific depictions of our favourites on the big screen.

The bunny in Fatal Attraction.
I understand why test audiences were baying for Alex's blood after that.
Talking about bunnies; the rabbits in Watership Down... every rabbit in Watership Down.
I was 6 years old, and alone in the house, watching a cartoon about bunny rabbits in lieu of a babysitter!

Awesome. I kind of want the Sherlock team on it. The David Tennant era. I think they would get the tone. But not sure they can direct kids.
Who would be a dream director? Who did the last few Harry Potter movies?
Tennant era Sherlock???
Are you confusing Sherlock with Dr Who by any chance?

The movie Before Sunset is sizzling hot. And there are no sex scenes--there's not even any kissing, unless you count a quick peck on the cheek.
