Major Case I can understand. I don’t think there are borough offices but rather one major crimes unit. OG 27 went where the crime was but within the confines of NYC. I don’t recall them going to LI or Westchester without at least getting the locals involved. That seems to be reserved for St. Olivia at SVU.

Exactly! Long Island is not nyc. They have their own police. If the Westbrook police are corrupt then the state troopers could step in. But not the NYPD.

I also flashed to the Yates murder, but I guess the RL Gilgo Beach case is probably more likely. is the reporter tall/strong enough to carry the girls as far as he did? And where would he get a sports car? I guess it’s certainly possible. I still think the DA is at least partially involved. He was at the house (or was it his house?) and offered to give Rita a tour. my question is, what makes this an OCCB case? Unless it turns out to be mob connected. And even then, it’s not within the confines of nyc. If anything, I think it would be a federal case. Unless Liv pulls some strings and somehow it magically becomes NYPD’s jurisdiction 🙄

Does Mariska have it in her contract that she must get 20 extreme close ups per episode? I understand Maddie being grateful and feeling a special bond with Olivia since Liv saved her and I’m sure Maddie’s parents told her all about how supportive Liv has been since she disappeared. But please, I beg you, ENOUGH! Now Sykes is joining SVU because she needs a change? So there are two captains, a sergeant, an FBI agent and two detectives assigned to Manhattan SVU. That’s quite a roster. part of me was hoping they wouldn’t find Maddie, but another part was hoping they would just so this damn story could be over. Now I just hope it is.,.except Liv will likely spend the rest of the season hunting for Sykes’ sister. Who of course will be alive and when Liv finds her, she and Sykes both kneel and kiss Olivia’s ring 🙄

As others have already said I thought this was a fine send off for Jack/Sam. Would I have liked to see more Court time? Sure but it wasn’t necessary. He trusted Price until the mayor threatened Jack and Price, at which point he decided to take matters into his own hands. As for there not being any mention of retiring, that’s kind of an L&O staple. The whole premise is that this show doesn’t rely on one character to survive. I don’t know how much I put Sam had into writing the courtroom scenes or if the writers just decided they had to do him justice, but it certainly showed that Price doesn’t come anywhere close to that level. Even when he has decent material, Dancy just comes off as too soft most of the time. And Maroun isn’t any better. I really do think they need to find new actors for next season. But they also need to start writing better scenes on the legal side. They are way too rushed and the prosecutors always end up caught off guard with their own witnesses. I’ll miss Sam but it’ll be interesting to see what Tony Goldwyn brings to the show. Since they hired a name, I’m sure he’ll get decent screen time.

How long can the brain go without oxygen before there’s brain damage? The kid collapsed and it had to have taken at least 5 to 10 minutes for the ambulance to arrive. I know they were doing compressions the whole time, but they had no pulse, the defibrillator didn’t work, they had to do more compressions and then when they got the AED, they had to stop compressions to set it up. And yet the doctors say he should make a full recovery? I dunno, sounds fishy to me. and speaking of fishy, there’s no way Sylvie and Matt get married in a fish store. Unless they commander another boat, I guess they’ll end up at Molly’s. Or the firehouse. Hope they have phone numbers or email addresses for everyone on the invitation list. 🤣

He sounds like a really cool guy, but I’m eternally grateful he wasn’t hired for the first role he auditioned for. Whatever it was, he said it was a straight chemistry read with LW/Carly.
