  1. I think it's Buddha next week, which will be interesting. I like this concept of a little sit down, so to speak, with Kristin and a TC participant spinning a dish from that week's episode. It's a little behind the scenes (now I know what Beauties are!), a little cooking and a little instructional. As a very amateur cook, I feel like I learn a little technique with these segments.
  2. Bye Poverty (™Kevin) -- we hardly knew ye. Well, all except for Sandra who looked positively gleeful at your departure, despite having done nothing notable at all, save for the Snooker Ball Reenactment last week. Speaking of Kevin, the braintrust convo between him and MJ was intriguing, not for the great intellectual value, but for the fact that the Truly Faithful Faithful gang might begin to turn on itself. Phaedra continues to bring the entertainment for me - "Don't be Sherlock the Dick" is gold. HAGGIS! HAGGIS!
  3. Anyone else watching the All Stars version? The word I'd use to describe it is -- messy. And not just because of Messy Mitch. I mean, he's right in there with the chaos but he's not the only one.
  4. The best thing about Eleni was her glorious hair, IMO.
  5. I would like to see a spinoff series with CT and Phaedra -- perhaps on a road trip, perhaps solving crimes together, perhaps learning new skills.
  6. I would watch this the moment it dropped. Many amateur investigators are pretty much nosy busybodies and Mrs. Fish is the gold standard of nosy busybody.

I was on the phone with my dad, filling him in on the brawl and Dusty's ejection when Altuve hit the HR -- I forgot momentarily that I was talking to my father and spewed some of my best profanity-laden phrases. I HATE that guy. Fortunately he knows I'm salty so no big deal. Also had choice words for Verlander and his smarmy-happy celebrating ass. That AZ/PHI game was terrific and fun to watch. Looking forward to tonight's matchup.
  8. There's something poetic about the Bears getting their first win in forever on the same day that Dick Butkus died.
  9. And his partner went into labor while they were at a Beyonce concert -- what a way to make an entrance, baby girl!
  10. Baker's been a pleasant surprise, at least to this Bucs fan -- although time has taught me to be prepared for a team implosion at any time. Living through The Jameis Winston Experience will do that to a girl. Regardless, welcome to the Bucs Fanwagon. Glad to have you.
  11. Petty me was looking forward to the ManningCast tonight as I was hoping to see Eli give Peyton some business about Tennessee losing. And this is a shot of me realizing the the Baker Mayfield-led Bucs (my team) have not turned the ball over at all this season. Granted, it's only two games, but c'mon... it's Baker Mayfield.
  12. Guests on tonight's ManningCast are John McEnroe (ok) and Ryan Fitzpatrick (now you're talking.) Plus the Disney/Spectrum Feud is over so bring it all on.
  13. *Raises hand* Here I am, temporarily distracted by tennis and yes, baseball. As a franchise-long Tampa Bay fan, I've learned to manage my expectations. Yesterday was a pleasant surprise. Baker did his job, so yay. Not a bad start for the post-TB12 era, both in terms of a win and in confidence. For both the team and their fans (OK, me)
  14. Many dear friends are Bama fans and man, are they quiet this morning. The SEC West just got really interesting. Meanwhile, I'm just thrilled that my Gators rebounded to beat a lesser (no offense, McNeese State) opponent, which, as recent years have shown us, was not a given. It's the little things.

I yelped aloud at that camera shot of TB12. STOP IT TOMMY. WE CAN ALL TELL. Cliffy flirting with Charlize was adorable. I could feel him blushing through the screen. I suppose I'll be cheering for Daniil on Sunday, as I'm so done with Djokavic. Today, it's Coco Time. LFG.

My heart hurts for Maddie Keys. That was a rough one to lose. Totally Team Coco now. Now ready to cheer like mad for Ben Shelton in that 3 pm match. I want him to bring all his chaos-agent, Bugs-Bunny-esque energy to the court today to drive Djokovic bananas. And while I do not want anything close to that Hell Adjacent Heat we saw in the Medvedev/Rublev match, Ben DID play college tennis for Florida (my alma mater!) and he is used to playing in uber-warm conditions.

The heat was cruel and unusual; mercifully, neither Medvedev nor Rublev passed out during the match, which would not have surprised me. I hope they're able to cool down and hydrate enough to get rest. I am exhausted after simply watching them.

This might be tennis heresy, but I much prefer Blake and Eubanks as commentators to the McEnroe bros... shhhhh. Tiafoe has been my favorite men's player for years and I really wanted him to win last night. That being said, I adore Shelton (and not just because we're both Gators...). He's fresh and yes, brash and a little like the Energizer bunny -- but man, that serve. It will be interesting to watch him navigate the veteran moves of Djokivic.

Tacky, Chrissy, tacky. You're not interviewing Madison on a daytime talk show. You're on ESPN and she's an athlete who is participating in a high-profile event in her sport who just scored what is considered a major upset. If other women can't show respect to female athletes during the process...
  20. Exactly. People (many of whom I know well) have indeed lost their damn minds and are already calling this season a disaster. It's the first game of the season; one game on the road against a ranked opponent. There's plenty to improve upon -- penalties especially -- but it wasn't a blow-out in regards to the score. Plus people and current fans forget or weren't around for the dark years BS (Before Spurrier.) Talk about bad. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go yell at some kids to get off my lawn. #OldGator
  21. Just an FYI from a 4th generation UF graduate... we're not all bat guano crazy and losing our minds after last night. Won't bore you with my take on things, but did want to speak up for myself, even if I am in the silent minority.

I love Tito -- after Cash, he's my favorite manager. They have a great relationship, going all the way back to when Cash was still playing and Tito was skipper of the Red Sox. Anytime the Rays play the Guardians, we expect pranks and insults between the two of them. That sort of enduring friendship is why baseball is the best. And I will be sad when he does retire.
  23. I think you're correct -- what happened to Damar Hamlin was a bit of a wake-up call and teams more vigilance when it comes to injuries that perhaps have potential to escalate into something more serious.
  24. From your mouth to the football gods' ears. As a franchise-long Bucs fan (yes, I am old) I'm used to terrible and awful and horrible years; I could write a book about Buc heartbreak. Baker Mayfield does not inspire confidence, at least in me. And while I love Kyle Trask (Go Gators) I just don't know... Booger McFarland projects an "entertainingly bad" year. Sigh.

When the Rays played the Yanks, I could tell he wasn't 100% healthy. PS: I scream TOMMY JOHN NO! every time a Rays pitcher leaves a game with "arm soreness." I am here to tell you it does not work. They should rename us the Tampa Bay Tommy Johns.
