Love the new desk. The old one always looked cheap and cobbled together from COVID having to increase its size and then shrink it again. This one feels more permanent. also great to see the warmer palette on the show return too.

It looks like based on this and the promo they are going for a walker palette on the set again. Which will be good!

I actually enjoyed the show without the scripts to be honest. It was more organic and actual conversations as apposed to “we must tick all these boxes about our discussion” “you have the first question” etc Whoopi was shitty that’s for sure. Might be the fact that she’s a bit worried being off script to help her along ?

What a breath of fresh air Sarah moderating! She was great, I hope she gets to fill in that chair more often.

The reason this do this is because they can charge advertisers a higher premium during the first ad break because that’s when most viewers will be watching. It’s annoying but how they make their $$$

To be honest I think they could have done better. We have similar ones at the breakfast bar at work. They are really bad posture wise and I feel getting off them is more of a hazard than the swivel ones they had. In saying that those swivel ones dated back to 2014 when they had the “window” set in the old studio. They were blue and they recovered them when they moved to the new studio after the 5 times they changed it until they got the new set right after the first one was awful (when Rosie rejoined).

I’m not a fan of the new opening titles at all. Massive downgrade to the last ones which were great having a mix of stills and then footage of the co hosts which was really classy and nice. These ones feel like they were done on the cheap. Also annoys me that it ends on The View in small text and doesn’t end with the logo. It should! I do like they have made the set and backdrop graphics a bit warmer now they are out of their silver anniversary (25)

I like the smaller tables. Not the stupid coffee table one they did when Rosie O’Donnell returned. But the smaller table allows for a more intimate discussion rather then shouting from the order side of what is a grandiose dining table.

Looks like the jumbo COVID safe desk is gone based off these previews, thank goodness. It looked hideous on air.

Where has Joy been? She was mentioned on Monday as “having the day off” and then there’s been no mention since. Hopefully her health is ok? Also more JuJu please!!! She was great

I think Alyssa is a heap better than some options. The issues is we can hate all of the ones “in the running”, but they need to fill the seat. The rotating pinwheel of guest hosts has started to irritate me and I feel heading into season 26 they will want a full panel. They have given it a year and to be honest they’ve gone through quite a list of people.

I actually really liked the desk they used in the Bahamas. Can they bring that home with them? I hate the patch up job of the current desk. It’s the original clear one they had a few years back and they have added and added to make it bigger.

Not sure if allowed so mods please delete, however it is totally legal. CTV.ca (CTV Canada’s) website allows you to watch The View on catch-up for free if you live in the US. Just thought I would mention that. It can be a day or two behind but it’s still a good way to watch other than illegal YouTube videos that are cut and messed around. ha
