  1. Just popping in to say my heart brightened a bit when Daniel mentioned Kevin in his scene with Mariah and Lucy, and Lucy chirped in saying 'Your Bestie?!' Indicating that he has talked about him to her. I used to like them together on screen, even in stupid storylines (RIP chipmunk). Better chemistry than either of them ever had with their traditional 'romantic partners'. Is it too much to ask that Kevin get some actual screen time with Daniel? I'll see myself out.
  2. Oh, count me in. If I wasn't already a fan, his casually throwing shade at Billy re: the turtleneck would have sold me.
  3. THIS. Is what I have been hoping for, from the moment they seemed to show her seemingly softening in her stance toward Ashland. TBH, I would feel differently if he were still being played by RB, because I can be swayed by the pretty.
  4. Right now, they are my comfort food. Like a nice mac and cheese. Made with the good cheese.
  5. And it was supposed to be representative of her brilliant idea of offering these as a grand, classy repast from her classy hotel. What the actual F?
  6. Woohoo! Lots of Ashland scenes the past couple days, and I'm here for it. Enjoyed all his interactions with Jack, Sally and especially Victoria. The most chemistry I've seen with her and and anyone for a long time.
  7. Wow! Today Abby actually remembered that FEKKING BRAD CARLTON raised her for many years before she discovered she was Victors biological child, and even shared find memories of him. you could have knocked me over with a feather. My sister, who only watched when she's forced, as I quickly try to ff to catch the gist of most episodes, asked me, "who's Brad?" The question made me a little sad.
  8. I'm not seeing the Ashland love here that I thought I would. I might be a little biased because I've liked Richard Burgi since way back from his days in the series The Sentinel, but I love having another virile mature man on the show because Victor has never floated my boat in that regard. Call me shallow. It would be great to see Ashland and Jack go head to head in some scenes as whenever show tries to pit someone against Victor, they always end up losing and I feel second hand embarrassment for all involved.
  9. Random observation from this week: I think Abby is looking very pretty. I know she has always been seen as a glamorous beauty, but she never shined for me the way, say, Mariah does. But something about the way Abby has looked lately, is somehow softer, maybe less made up. She looks fresher and younger. It's a good look on her.
  10. Yes. Also, I think the reason I enjoyed the Shadam scene so much, was because it was nice to see two individuals in scene together who were closer than 6 ft apart. Even if they didn't actually touch each other, it was nice to know they could. Don't get me wrong, I am glad the studios are being appropriately cautious, and protective of their actors` health. I just never thought I would miss seeing physical contact this much. However if it means not having to suffer through watching Phyllis getting it on with...ANYONE, I can appreciate that at least. For that reason, I'm appreciating the writers exploring stories that don't need to be punctuated with sexay scenes. Like Victoria discovering her inner boss. I know some of you don't like that story, but I find it a refreshing change from her lamenting another lost romance. And maybe some more of Theos self discovery journey as well. I still find the character, and the actor much more interesting than Kyle (who only becomes likable to me when he's in a scene with Mariah). Circling back to my original point, I liked seeing Sharon and Adam sharing scenes. And as much as I just went off on unnecessary sex scenes, I wouldn't mind seeing their relationship explored, deepened and maybe even become physical during this time when so many scene partners are limited in their types of interactions.
  11. So, as we are about to enter the world of new episodes, I've been ruminating on what I've learned from these weeks of classic Y & R. Mainly it's reminded me of what I miss: Gloria. Daniel. Dru. Well paced episodes and storytelling. And more moments of levity (I know it's a soap, but they used to do a better job of balancing at least some light hearted moments with the drama). All that said, I am also grateful for the continued presence of Jack, Tracy, Sharon and Jill.
  12. I was thinking the same thing. And my next thought was: Aaannd now I'm officially an uncool oldie. I mean Mary Williams, for God's sake. Jeezus..
  13. Oh good. Looks like I get to be the first to say it: Reliquary! Oh the halcyon days of Y&R drinking games...
