Any NY Boulders fans here?

Not TV, but I have my fingers crossed that National Theatre Live might air it one day: Unspeakable Conversations. it looks fascinating and challenging, just from the review.

Sweet Honey in the Rock founder Bernice Johnson Reagon, 81, has left us.
This one really hurts. I was lucky enough to see her perform several times. She was immensely talented and inspiring. She will be sorely missed.
Just realized that the above link requires a subscription. This is a free link to NPR.

Hollywood Makeup Artist Allie Shehorn Allegedly Stabbed By Actor Ex Nick Pasqual
She had a restraining order, but it didn't help. I don't know how long it takes severed tendons to heal, or if there will be permanent physical damage, but I hope she will recover fully. And that the bastard who did it gets life without parole.

The NY Times obituary for Terry Carter has even more details about his long and interesting career.
I didn't watch the original BSG. Now, after reading the obituaries, I want to watch his documentaries on Duke Ellington and Katherine Dunham. I wish there were a film record of his first major Broadway show, Mrs. Patterson, with my favorite actress, Eartha Kitt.
He graduated from Stuyvesant HS a few years before I did.

Faith Ringgold, quilt artist and children's book author, has died at the age of 93.
From the article: "For more than a half-century, Ms. Ringgold explored themes of race, gender, class, family and community through a vast array of media, among them painting, sculpture, mask- and doll-making, textiles and performance art. She was also a longtime advocate of bringing the work of Black people and women into the collections of major American museums."

Bizarre story of the day:
North Korea censors Alan Titchmarsh's trousers.
I am not familiar with Garden Secrets, but used to enjoy watching his show Ground Force, despite having no gardening skills whatsoever.

Wild guess: One of the UK dialects.
You might be able to identify the narrator's name?Definitely American, not British. The author is Donald Bogle.

Maybe you brilliant and observant folks can help identify something which is driving me crazy. I am listening to an audio book narrated by the author. He has a weirdly stilted but enthusiastic style of narration, not quite maddening enough to make me give up on it. Yet. My biggest issue is that he pronounces daughter as dorter. He also says warters for waters.
Whence comes this pronunciation? Is it a regional dialect?
Thanks for your assistance!

Peter Schickele, creator of P.D.Q. Bach, has died.
I had the distinct pleasure of attending a number of live P.D.Q. Bach performances at Carnegie Hall in the last millennium. I also conducted my high school Renaissance Choir in performances of some of his madrigals ("My Bonny Lass She Smelleth") and rounds ("The Art of the Ground Round" Schickele Number 119/pound).
He was truly brilliant.

Looks like being an overt racist and misogynistic pig has consequences.
Jann Wenner has been removed from the board of directors of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation according to the linked NY Times article.

I've been watching a bunch of Letters Live videos on YouTube. This one made me cry ugly, but also laugh in recognition.

Thanks for sharing that, elleryanne. What a great voice, gone far too soon.
And that's either a tiny piano, or Mr. Lee was very, very tall.

Money talks. Lol and he's probably not getting many other offers.
Television is not the only medium for actors. He was the lead in the Donmar Warehouse production of Henry V. I'm looking forward to seeing it on Sunday (sadly it's only a National Theatre Live at my local cinema, not in person).

That is the kind nonsense up with which I will not put! (Sorry, to lazy to get the exact quote & proper attribution.)
You sent me down a Google rabbit hole (my fault, of course!). I found quite a few memes/images with variations of the wording. According to this article, it's not really by Winston Churchill. Not that surprising, but now I am worried that some of my favorite Churchill quotes are also misattributed. Oh well, it's still a great quote.
