  1. In the iterations of the show that I've seen (UK Series 1, US series 1) there's always at least 3 people in the final. If there's a traitor in that mix, the traitor gets the whole pot, if there isn't a traitor in the mix the pot is shared by the winners. After targeting Peppermint in the first episodes I would love to see Trishelle lose big time. It just wouldn't be fair for Kate to win because she wasn't in the first several episoes. Sandra and Sheree have been essentially non-entities thus far. I would hope CT and MJ win and share the pot.
  2. Could it have been the clue who's question was "What is Some Like It Hot?"? I certainly got a kick out of it when Kevin answered it.
  3. It seems that at Bravocon, LVP met Crystal and asked her what show she's on. Crystal replied RHoBH, to which LVP replied 'oh is Kyle still on that?' Kyle and Andy thought it was hilarious.
  4. Dr. Phil on Monday, Kara Swisher on Tuesday. From the truly ridiculous to the deeply sublime.
  5. Murphy didn't really have all that much to do with production. His only title is executive producer, which I imagine is mainly symbolic. The showrunner, and writer Jon Robin Baitz, is listed as the "developed for television by" and has written the first five episodes.
  6. I was happy Whoopi and Sunny stepped up too. I love how that asshole says he's going to be dealing in facts, when in fact, he's just "reporting" ridiculous speculations by a border guard. Gosh, he's disgusting.
  7. Not true. Traitors UK premiered on November 29, 2022. Traitors US premiered on Jan 12, 2023. And just for the record both Traitors are based on the Dutch show De Verraders.
  8. Probably less than two weeks. There's a daily murder, breakfast, challenge and banishment.
  9. They're making up rules as they go on. No one could have predicted Peter would be dumb enough to refuse an offer to become a traitor. The dipshit producers didn't have a plan B, so the viewers were left with an episode where no one left. The next recruitment was now either say yes or leave the show. The producers have some catching up to do.
  10. Someone on the panel should've asked her where she got that ridiculous number. I don't see anyone pushing embryos around in a stroller.
  11. I can't help but use Bennett Miller's 2005 Capote, with PSH, as the prequel to this show. In Capote, TC essentially sold his soul to the devil to get the story from the killers of In Cold Blood, and killed his relationship with childhood friend Harper Lee. After that TC was in much more than a creative slump, he was in an alcoholic, pill-ridden miasma of self-hatred that he couldn't quite escape. While he's using the Swans for fancy vacations, expensive lunches and dinners, and extravagant gifts, he is seething with jealousy and resentment at these women who, seemingly, have had everything handed to them. When he justifies his atrocious behavior, his selling out of his friends for money by focusing on their foibles and faults, he may be justifying his behavior to himself, but I'm not buying it. It is fascinating to watch a once talented writer with such promise fall prey to ego, addiction, bitterness and ruthlessness.
  12. I hate the producer fuckery with a tried and true format. I'll just read recaps from now on.
  13. I don't know any person, place or thing that holds Love Story or Jonathan Livingston Seagull in high regard, so they can't be overrated. The Catcher in The Rye is definitely overrated. I feel bad for any student that has to read this stuff.
  14. I remember nowt from Wuthering Heights and the Dalziel/Pascoe novels by Reginald Hill. Nowt = nothing, owt = something.
  15. It certainly was chaotic, just like The Maltese Falcon.
  16. I really hope there's another season. I loved the visual of Spade and Teresa putting on their shades, and the visual of the monk getting shot by various shooters, just like Gabrielle's first husband.
  17. You are not alone. I'm not surprised if viewership is down after last week's worst show ever. Good news is this week's show is much better, but the damage may already be done. I'm looking forward to a Phaedra/Kate alliance.
  18. It was just on TCM the other night, so good.
  19. Joe Mantello. I saw him on Broadway in 2010 in The Normal Heart where he gave a Tony-nominated volcanic performance. He was amazing. He was also show runner Jon Robin Baitz's partner from 1990 to 2002. Mantello mainly directed, Baitz was (and is) a playwright, they were considered a Broadway super couple.
  20. Maybe she's struggling to pay bills because she buys expensive coats!
  21. He was also a lovable goofball in The Other Two, he's so good at it!
  22. That's really the only way to watch it, I agree.
  23. I'm a daily watcher, even though I don't really enjoy the show. The acting can be really atrocious, the writing is nuts, but every once in a blue moon, the writing and the acting are out of this world. I've been really enjoying the performances this week of Colin Salmon as George Knight (I always want to refer to him as George Knightley!, damn you Jane Austen!) George's unusual upbringing has the been the launching pad of some excellent scenes with the actors who play his daughter Gina, and his parents. I actually can not wait to get home to watch tonight's episode.
  24. It's beyond ignorance to not realize that most Puerto Ricans have Spanish ancestry. That's a willful ignorance. Where did she think they got their language from?
  25. It's been resolved, right? The nuns, along with Angelique, who was posing as a nun, was hiding the boy. The monk killed the nuns hoping to get information about the boy.
