  1. Movie prices are a huge part of the decline, but take it from someone who sees a movie every week during the September thru December (peak season for adult movies), it's not the only reason. Second reason: uncouth behavior! Lack of civility is growing by leaps and bounds in the movie theaters. Texting, phone conversations, eating take-out, and talking are just a few of the distractions one could face while watching a movie. Come on! I loved the movie too, it doesn't make me a narcissist. Don't rely on word of mouth to tell you what the movie is about, see it first and then criticize it.
  2. I just shut the lights off in my living room and I'm fine.
  3. My one complaint. I never would've known this character was TR if they didn't use his name. I should've known.
  4. Omigosh, I cannot wait to get home to watch this.
  5. Andre pre-planned and pre-paid @ Salem Funeral Home.
  6. Only DVRing Monday and Tuesday eps for Navarro and Curry. Also watching Tuesday's ep for the male model story, read the NY Times article from last week, found it quite compelling.
  7. I loved their reactions to the drag queens. It seemed like they got a real kick out of it.
  8. CZJ is playing a drug queenpin. I can't imagine any established Latina actress clamoring for a role like that.
  9. Unpopular opinion: I think the show benefits from having no kids. I thought they dragged everything down. I didn't find them charming or amusing, I'm glad they're hardly on anymore.
  10. I know, but they had to do it to bookend the 'all of them' the newspaper guy says to AC when he's buying the newpapers.
  11. Of course they were real, the actor was essentially saying good-bye to co-workers he's been working with for 2.5 years. It was probably his first long-term acting job.
  12. Was I the only one who upon hearing the listed items for the roadblock [Vegetables, chickens...] initially thought they meant live chickens?!
  13. But does it come with a servant standing in the courtyard, holding a tray, with a glass of orange juice on it?
  14. I admired Gaga's performance in AHS:Hotel, but I do think an actress of a higher caliber would be required to play DV. I loved PC last night, this was the show's hallmark performance, thought she did a great job of conveying the pain of her loss, the love of her brother and the persistence to keep his legacy (and by extension hers) in tact.
  15. Absolutely, I never even heard of a flu shot until I was in my 30's, and even then I thought they were for senior citizens. Now that I'm in my late fifties, after never having a flu shot, and seriously only getting a cold twice a year like clockwork (Thank you mom and dad for a hearty Irish constitution!), a flu shot is the last thing on my mind.
  16. The personalities of the racers are shining through. The indy 500 guys stock went up for me this week, as did Team Yale. I felt bad for the NBA guys, but I did think it was their time to go. It's only a matter of weeks before they're eliminated. The woman who was yelling "JESSICA, JESSICA" has become increasingly grating week after week.
  17. That's exactly what the show is doing, I hear. They do have at least 8 episodes to fill. Same here.
  18. I said The Great Gatsby, and I was certain it was the definitive answer. Oh, well. Another week of incredibly awful players.
  19. 12 years and two Thornes! Clayton Norcross was certainly easy on the eyes but he made Ronn Moss look like Laurence Olivier when it came to acting. CN played Thorne from 87-89, Jeff Trachta from 89-96, Winsor Harmon from 96 to very recently.
  20. I read somewhere that MW specifically instructed her agent to not negotiate, to expedite the deal. She wanted Kevin Spacey out that bad and that quick.
  21. There were times, during the big Liam/$Bill confrontation scene, at the height of the drama, that DD looked like he was about to crack up!
