  1. That was painful to watch. The only thing that made it watchable was Nicole's barely contained disgust.
  2. It's a huge part of who he is. Because of his disability and the abuse and stigma that comes with it in the 1500's, Matthew knows what it's like to be a pariah, he's gained an immense pool of empathy because of it.
  3. Cosby's Razorblade Tears is a must-read. It was my favorite crime fiction of last year. Violent, cathartic, redemptive, I can shower this one with so many adjectives. I'm looking forward to My Darkest Prayer.
  4. That's hilarious. Keep it messy ladies!
  5. I guess it isn't getting old with drag queens who are being beset with anti-drag legislation in many states including Florida. I hope Ana never shuts up!
  6. I know you meant clerk and not cleric. But all in all, not a bad idea. Another episode of Will Davenport, Shit Vicar. And now he's a pillpopper! One thing I did like about the episode was the performance of Simone Lahbib. I remember her from her Bad Girls days, and more recently EastEnders. I'm sorry she had to go, but she really brought it.
  7. Big turnaround for Adam, in the first two episodes he was this likable yachtie, now in episode 3 he's an insufferable know-it-all.
  8. I entered the workforce in 1979. No matter how much TV tried to portrary sexual harassment in the workplace during the eighties, trust me it was ten times worse. I know it's hard to watch with a 2023 sensibility, but it was worse to live through.
  9. Like the earth-shattering story about a biting dog in the White House?
  10. But not too far from the character he played in Hollyoaks.
  11. The bos'n made a pass at Margot, the new stew. Right after she said she was having a great night, and that hookups would ruin the crews friendly vibe, dipshit bos'n (sorry, don't remember his name) snuck a kiss on his co-worker's face. I don't mind the disco helmet, but it should be countered with an MVP award. I'm worried about the chef, she's gotta get a handle on the galley situation, her food is suffering.
  12. I love the Karen Pirie books, I know they're formula, but sometimes formula is written well. I read the books first, but I still loved the Britbox show, it was well done, although I did picture Karen as much older. I'm not sure if that's the way it was in the books, or my own personal interpretation. I started reading McDermid's Tony Hill/Carol Jordan books, then the Karen Piries.
  13. Thanks for explaining. The weird thing is that would be my dream category, that's what I would excel at (depending on partner, of course).
  14. Sorry for being obtuse, but I have no idea what you are talking about. Could you kindly elaborate?
  15. I'd daresay Ross knows the difference between 'coma' and 'comma'.
  16. It sure is sad to see a once mighty CBS soap that can't afford a courtroom set, and has to have a trial in judge's chambers. And to have that judge be iconic Y&R villain David Kimball is a hoot. I checked his forehead, it didn't say 'Killer' on it. Most of the time Scott Clifton's overacting is unintentionally funny, but here in the 'courtroom', while LA justice is being delivered it was downright hilarious. I was expecting Liam to place an order with Acme for some bombs. Between him and Finn discovering his dark side, I was enthralled. This plot twist was worth to see Ridge and Steffi, two characters I loathe, all torn up in knots. I haven't watched in weeks, I find the current storyline with Hope and Thomas unwatchable, offensive and disgusting. Now that Sheila is back on the streets I'll be tuning in, but I'll keep my remote handy to fast forward anything with Ridge, Steffi, Thomas or Taylor. I'm definitely anti-Morone. I'll be sending in my nanny resume to the Finnegans!
  17. And a shit friend! I'm hoping that in the final episode of the season Geordie is investigating Will's murder.
  18. The totally delightful Michelle Bureau, the creator and star, was on The View last week.
  19. I just did a quick internet ratings search, it seems ratings from various franchises goes from 750K to 1.1M, not great numbers. I was curious because there once was a time when everyone I knew watched these shows, now no one I know (friends, family, co-workers) watches.
