  1. I don't think I've ever seen Austin host an open house, just gossip about his co-workers.
  2. Respectfully disagree. Right, Vera Stanhope is one of my favorite TV detectives, she's annoying, clever and determined to get her killer, but alas, she is not dynamic.
  3. It seems to me Jeopardy always uses the worst pictures of its subjects. That one of Rachel Weiss was awful also.
  4. I have a theory that since Nicola Walker was so well-liked and was so irreplaceable, the show runners opted for a totally unlikable, inept, and apathetic replacement so Sunny would be compelled to take the offer to lead the squad in season 6.
  5. Not useless, just inept and unimaginative. The show is called Professor T.
  6. I've read a couple of Tursten's Elderly Woman stories in EQMM, I had no idea they were compiled into collections. I must check out my library system for availability.
  7. So many questions about that whole family! Yes, I'm inclined to agree with you that he was one of the squatters.
  8. Right, way too obvious. He is the right age for Patience's son, however. But so is the old man's creepy grandson.
  9. It was too much, too soon. He's still rocked by Cassie's death. It isn't clear to me if he wants the top job or if he feels has to take the reins because of the apathy and incompetence of My Gorgeous Hubby's wife.
  10. It's a mystery. Mysteries often throw out minutiae to misdirect. Kate Box and Kris McQuade are also Wentworth alumna. This show has all my favorite hallmarks of a crime drama: a convoluted mystery, a stellar supporting cast, a ribald sense of humor, a feminist sensibility and two lead detectives with oodles of chemistry. 🤞 for season 2.
  11. This is what bugs me about Alyssa, she is obscuring her right-wing opinions with a huge smile, pleasant speaking voice and a decent fashion sense. She's still a right-winger. It's a huge problem whether she has kids or not. I do not have kids, but I'm very worried about school libraries being told what is or isn't acceptable. If you don't like a book, fine, then don't take out the book. Don't tell anyone else they can't take it out.
  12. Biggest, whiniest bitch in Miami: Alexia's husband Todd, or Herman 2.0. It's not just the makeup making her look so harsh.
  13. I've seen this commercial several times and I still crack up every time Mary says this.
  14. That was almost as funny as Meredith imitating Whitney's babydoll voice in her bathtub interview. And nearly as funny as all the HW's admitting they don't read books. Nope, I'm a Lisa fan too. She was very funny on WWHNL.
  15. Here's five traditional mysteries I really enjoyed, that meet all your criteria: The Lavender House - Lev AC Rosen Moonflower Murders - Anthony Horowitz The Witch Elm - Tana French Glass Houses - Louise Penny The Lost Man - Jane Harper
  16. Not true. It's always been about a body recently discovered that's been dead for a long time.
  17. Just watched the first episode. Was it explained how the coroner couldn't immediately tell the difference between a six year old corpse and an eighty year old corpse?
  18. and Julia's wry grin was priceless. I agree, great scene.
  19. Alexia and Larsa are showing their true colors this season, and it doesn't look good. Same here. Nicole is this season's MVP. She's aware of what's going on, and not afraid to confront bullshitters, or take out her Amex Black!
  20. To be fair, we've only seen these two characters in work mode for the most part, so we really don't know what's in and out of character just yet. I can see anyone attracted to Dennison, the voice, the body, the face... Bugs me too. I'm all set for a new spin-off called The Home Secretary's Sister!
