  1. I was pleasantly surprised by S.E. Cupp. She was very nice and explained her views well. Because of her friendship with MM, I assumed she would be like MM but no she's much more nuanced. I could live with her being the 5th host, although, Ana will always be favorite. I just hope they pick someone like S.E. Cupp and not someone screaming their views. The show is just so much better this year. As for Sherri, I preferred her on "Everybody Loves Raymond". She's a bit of an airhead but amusing. She really shouldn't be broadcasting she has a gun.
  2. Add me to the list of not wanting to see this guest host. We don't need anybody related to the Trump administration. Also, I have no interest in Cindy McCain because then we have to hear about MM and seriously who needs to hear about her.
  3. The shows this season have been so much better. A cloud has been lifted. It was so toxic that they wouldn't even discuss something like an emotional affair with MM on the panel. She was buzzkill a lot of the time. She would stop conversations dead in their tracks because she didn't like the subject. It's quite obvious that all 5 panelists like and enjoy one another. I really don't see the need for an additional host with these five. Basically, I would hire a younger woman who doesn't have to be conservative just a different generation and have her fill in when Whoopi is off acting or someone's sick, etc. Whoopi, in particular, seems very happy this year despite her health woes. She's having a good time again.
  4. Add this to the shallow comment section of MM's appearance on MTP, to me she appeared as if she had several Jack Daniels Saturday night. She really did look rough. I, too, am enjoying the karma coming back at her. She had one of the best gigs on tv and she blew it by her childish behavior. Her last show was one of the weakest goodbyes they ever gave. Abby got a better sendoff and she was only there a year but then again Abby is a nicer person.
  5. Well the critics didn't think MM did a good job on MTP. Seems she got caught lying about President Biden's Build back better plan. She said it was polling poorly. It's polling well with the high for it about 66%. Of course, Chuck Todd just let the lie stand. So both of them are being ripped on Twitter. She didn't look that great either. Her hair looked like she just rolled out of bed and briefly took a comb to it. Most of the reaction is why is she back on tv. Good question.
  6. So MM can't even wish her former coworkers well after this incident? Garbage human being is right. This reaction is probably a preview of how her book will be. She will be settling scores with former coworkers. I'm sure she'll trash Joy, Ana and Sara. I also expect to see reports from sources behind the scenes telling of MM's horrible behavior once her books debuts. As for ripping Whoopi in the book, I'm not sure about that one. I do think Whoopi is the main reason she's gone this season. Almost from her return from maternity leave, she was being horrible. I especially remember her trying her gotcha questions on Rev. Warnock who had been just elected. I definitely remember the look on Whoopi's face and she looked angry. It didn't get any better the rest of the season. All I can say is this season has been great so far even with yesterday's scare.
  7. I did not read the DM column because I don't want to give her more readers. I did see the reaction on Twitter and it's not good for MM. Basically, she's ripping President Biden after 7 months on job. I don't expect her to agree with everything he's doing but she's so nasty. He was so good to her after her father died. She shows her true self and it's ugly. I imagine her mother is not happy with her as it puts her awkward position. However, her husband probably loves it (and he might have written the column for her).
  8. So she wasn't fired? How about forced out? It was either return to NYC or no job. I think the new management at ABC News knew things weren't going to get better with her so they made her offer she refused. I think for the sanity of the show's staff on camera and off she had to go. Also, another annoyance with MM and her giving exclusive interviews to People about motherhood and other stuff. I though parenting topics bored her. They don't bore her when she's getting paid by People. This year is so refreshing. May MM fade into obscurity.
  9. Once I heard Mary Katherine wrote for the Federalist, I said "next, please". When MM's was on, we heard their talking points all the time. She added nothing to the panel. The show is so much better this year and a lot of that has to do with them being in studio. However, the co-hosts no longer tip toe around the lone conservative who at any moment could throw a tantrum. The fifth spot should be a younger women who has different views not necessarily conservative. I thought the Bill Maher discussion was interesting. He's turned into a cranky old white guy yelling "get off my lawn". I stopped watching his show in the last two years.
  10. Her latest job at the Daily Mail is probably the only offer she got. Her reputation for being difficult on air and not taking direction is likely going to keep her from getting another network position. She had a golden opportunity at the View thanks to her father who told her to listen to Whoopi. She obviously didn't. In a way she reminds of when Star left after her Bridezilla antics, she didn't have anything high profile after that. The big difference between MM and Star is Star actually earned her spot at the View. Also, her audio book should be interesting. I bet she rips on Joy, Ana and maybe Sara. She'll play the victim as always.
  11. A cloud has been lifted. I stopped watching back in spring. I could no longer stand the screeching of MM. A big thank you to this board which kept me updated on what was going on with the show. Today's show was how the show used to be and it was great fun with some serious and respectful discussion. I really don't think they need a 5th host but will see. I will say I think the executives at the View and ABC News are relieved MM is gone. With her recent rantings on Twitter, the show topics today would have her screaming at her cohosts and the audience. Looking forward to the rest of the week and hopefully Ana will show up on Friday.
