  1. After watching this episode, it is impossible for me to decide which of the children are most awful. And I finally realized that Liz is just a humorless Lucile Bluth, a woman who hates all of her children and takes zero responsibility for how they turned out. Horrible family
  2. Great episode it you can set aside how they are trying to make terrible people look like the good guys. It was easier for me to separate the hagiography of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillips among others in earlier seasons. With them covering more recent history it’s hard to forget how truly terrible these people are I feel like this show has glossed over British occupation of Northern Ireland and the issues in Scotland as well. It’s a show with a very British point of view
  3. I'm not going to lie. I binged this show in 1 1/2 days. I have a thing for shows/movies/books about regular people caught up in the criminal world. Mix that with a treasure hunt and this is my kind of show. I haven't had such fun watching a show since Wanted. I do have to say that the main character's name was John B was annoying especially with how often they said his name. I really hope they get the opportunity to make season 2 and they continue to take it seriously and not give into the camp potential. That's what makes the show. There is no obvious wink to the camera like with so many shows nowadays.

    MSNBC

MSNBC's line up is way, way too white. I'd like to see Joy Reid or another PoC woman get the Hardball slot.
  5. I liked the show overall but it is weird how few Latinos there are on this show. LA is almost 1/2 Latino but they tend to be nonexistent in shows that take place outside of maids and criminals particularly on CBS.
  6. I am like the one person in the world who can't stand Lauren Graham's acting so I wasn't thrilled that she had such a big storyline this week. Her voice was grating as well. Hoping she goes back to the background in future episodes.

    MSNBC

Shep Smith on MSNBC? That's a mistake. The head honchos at NBC/MSNBC keep trying to move over ex-Fox talent to their network not realizing that the stench of Fox News can't be washed away. How many millions did they lose with Greta Von Sustren and Megyn Kelly? Between that and the increasing number of white Republicans on MSNBC it sure seems like they are trying to turn MSNBC into Fox Lite. Also, what will it take to have Brian Williams no longer hosting big nights on MSNBC? He is dumber than a box of rocks and brings down the entire discourse. The entire panel becomes more vapid when he is the anchor.
  8. I really liked the season overall but loathed the idea that Sol and Robert are going to live with Grace and Frankie. After all these seasons, I still don't think Sol and Robert have really comprehended how much they hurt and devastated G&F. S&R are just selfish assholes and they prove it season after season. Plus, Martin Sheen playing Jed Bartlett with a bit of arrogance made sense. His playing Robert the same way doesn't work because Robert is pretty much a cold, selfish prick. The worst part of S&R living at the beach house is that I can no longer fast forward their scenes as they will be too interwoven into the G&F storylines.
  9. I really like this show though it is heartbreaking to see adults being assholes to them because they are small-minded.
  10. This season was hard to get through. Way, way too much Joel. The writers are clearly working to get them back together which is unfortunate. That and making Midge's parents as wacky as her really ruined the show IMO. The show doesn't work when everyone with weird and wacky. It's why I hated The Gilmore Girls.
  11. WItherspoon's character is clearly supposed to be the character we root for and I can't stand her. Her constant whining about soft news. She knew exactly what The Morning Show was when she signed up. That said I am really liking the show and hope it does well enough for a 2nd season.
  12. There are rumors that the Anne/Andrew relationship continued for decades while they were married to others.
  13. It's weird watching this season where the entire cast is lightyears more attractive than the real RF who are quite unfortunate looking. The casting of Camilla was quite hard to swallow. The only person who is less attractive than their real life self was Wallis-Simpson which is bizarre. As for their acting, Charles and Anne's actors are pitch perfect. Phillip's actor has so little charisma and comes across just about as dull and awful as Phillip himself which is surprisingly unwatchable. I have a hard time sitting through his scenes. Colman is great as the Queen. She is making the Queen harder and less likable which again seems more in line with the real Queen. Claire's portrayal always seemed too sympathetic. I do like that they moved forward the timeline though. Phillip and Elizabeth's marriage isn't going to be interesting to watch if they are only going to hint at his affairs. We've pretty much seen that storyline for two seasons. I think they needed to bring in Charles/Anne's younger years to keep the show moving. I do hope they slow the pace down and give us more time before the Diana wedding as that seems to be an interesting time for the 3 kids - Charles, Anne and Andrew. I wouldn't even mind seeing some storyline around Margaret's kids.
  14. This episode was hard for me to get through. The Poor Phillip nonsense gets old partially because he is a pretty terrible person IRL. And in part, because the actor has zero charisma. The show is so much better when we don't focus too much on Phillip. On another note, I honestly keep forgetting Edward exists. Olivia Colman is doing a fabulous job bringing to life the ice cold Queen. I love Claire Foy but I always thought her portrayal was too sympathetic to the Queen.
  15. Man, Meghan has been absurd this week. Her nastiness to Booker today and continually interrupting him gave me secondhand embarrassment for her. Not that she seems to have any embarrassment for the way she behaves. Booker really put her in her place. At some point, ABC is going to have to step in right?
  16. That brief scene with Josh saved the episode. Josh has chemistry with all the characters on the show. It is such a mistake to sideline him from the show. And of course, I am rooting for Liza/Josh to get back together. They just work together. Charles/Liza make sense on paper but every scene with them is just like watching paint dry. I think it is the actor playing Charles. The guy is a block of wood and he doesn't really have chemistry with anyone. Any scene with Oded is awesome even if his plot line was stupid. He is crazy hot.
  17. So I just discovered this show and binged watched through 5 seasons and I need a glimmer of hope to continue. Charles is a charisma black hole and I've resorted to fast-forwarding through his scenes as he is dead wood. Please tell me there is less Charles in season 6.
  18. This is officially the weirdest show I've ever seen. So bizarre and really funny.
  19. Thank God that smug moron is gone. So incredibly unlikable. At this point, I don't care who wins.
  20. I am disappointed the show was cancelled though both the actors who played Allison and Sandra didn't work. I would have written both off the show. The rest of the cast works perfectly together and was a delight to watch. The voter suppression story is very timely as it happened in 2018 and will likely happen again in 2020. Minorities have been threatened and intimidated at polls since Jim Crow era. Any plot around that shouldn't be considered political unless you think one party is the one trying to get minorities not to vote.
  21. Wow, way to completely misread my comment I can't stand Rachel because of her personality. I find her oversize ego baffling because she doesn't appear to be above average in any way but she acts like she is a cross between Albert Einstein and Angelina Jolie. It's bizarre. I also never said I would punch Rachel. I am just suprised more people don't lose it with her because she is genuinely terrible in every way. Her sister is a saint to put up with her.
  22. I guess I do. I just binged watched this season and I still didn't get his name right. Well, whatever his name is, I like him because he had Rachel's number and is pissed her off.
  23. Rachel is the worst contestant on the show bar none. Absolute worst. And what is with her oversized ego? She's not smart, athetlic or attractive and she thinks she is the greatest person ever. She is constantly putting her sister down when she is the fuck up on the team. I am surprised someone hasn't punched Rachel by now. She is just that unlikable.
  24. So in the preview, it looks like Rachel gets karma and gets voted publicly into the U-Turn. At first, I hated this twist, but now that I think about it, it basically ends up punishing the asshole teams. Votes for the Assholes (Rachel and plastic sister): Zac/Nic, Bret/Chris, and Tyler/Korey. Votes for no one (if that is allowed): Team Fun, Colin/Christie Votes for Colin/Christie: Team Fun, Afghanimals Votes for Team Fun: the Assholes just to be petty and Colin/Christie for clique reasons
