  1. Just catching up and I have to say I'm really enjoying the show for the first time in 4ever! Loving this new and improved Brooke---I never saw Breacon originally and could not abide their interactions the last time or 2 Deacon was on the show but this time round their chemistry is palpable!!! He makes me like Brooke in much the same way Nick did---I just hope hope hope that THIS time out TIIC refrain from spinning gold into dross (as is their wont---see Brick, Batie, Queric and Quarter to name but a few!) and let Deacon and Brooke make the most of their natural rapport😌 And I loved Deacon and Hope as father and daughter---such natural parent/child chem these two have! Oh and the icing on the cake was when Brooke whooped at her "destiny" to take his paws off Deacon and followed it up by favouring him with her patented squinty-eyed glare! I loved it!!!😁👍
  2. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone🙂 I've been catching up on the last few episodes and I have to say that I'm very disgusted by Eric's behaviour and I don't even care for Donna---even though she's the least obnoxious of the Logan "girls", fact remains that she has been more than a little disingenuous throughout this entire thing. I mean, where I come from letting a married man honey lick honey off of one's finger is not exactly tantamount to noninterference in his marriage LOLOL! But she did not deserve to be treated like that by Eric---all throughout this Quarter/Honey Bear debacle it seems to me as though Eric has been the one manipulating people and pulling their strings for his own perverse amusement. It makes me dislike the character very intensely and I've always rather liked Eric especially with Quinn. No more though I really want to see Quinn kick him to the curb and reunite with Carter, and Donna have enough self-respect NOT to get with the old goat when he comes back around her---maybe Eric and Katie (another character I used to like who is now on my SL because of her shrewishness and hypocrisy, traits she shares with her sister Brooke and to be fair many of the other women on this show!) could finally get together, gross as that would be. I can't think of two people who deserve each other more!🙄
  3. And this is what makes me so furious! It's the fact that Eric did not just take Quinn back, he begged her to come back to him! She was in the midst of walking away from him, quite happily as I recall, when he suddenly pulled a 180 and manipulated her into staying married to him with a combo of sob stories ("I'm so lonely without you!") and lies of omission (nary a mention of his dubious ED until after he had reeled her back into the marriage). And now he's running around making googly eyes at Donna and leading her on, and stringing both women along! The old coot is making me sick right now and this is coming from someone who has always rather liked Eric! Hi, newbie here🙂, I'm just dropping in to express my extreme displeasure with this latest farce of a storyline---I just couldn't keep it in any longer LOL! Also wanted to add how much enjoyment I derive from everybody's very witty and salient comments on the show---I'm not a real long time viewer so don't know the history of these characters but suffice to say that coming here and reading all of the most excellent commentary on the show has kept me watching for as long as I have😊👍 Right now I'm mostly hanging in there for SK's Deacon who I adore! And hoping beyond hope for a Quarter reunion but it looks like Katie (another character I USED to like but whose blatant hypocrisy lately has ruined for me) is going to scuttle that! Hey I have an idea why not reunite Quarter and put Katie with Deacon!? Now that would be worth watching if only to see Bridges' overinflated heads explode!
  4. Sorry for double post am doing this from my mobile and haven’t figured out the ropes yet!
  5. I really hate the whole stupid have/have not thing as I feel it interferes too much with the game itself. (Don't even get me started on BOTB!). It's a relatively recent addition (season 11)and although it may have worked well with that season's theme (high-school cliques, GMAB!)it's done nothing but drag down each succeeding season, IMHO, and I wish they'd eliminate it altogether. Then again, I still don't like the innovation that is called "slop"---give me good ol' PB & J anytime, LOL!
  6. Just wanted to second the emotions expressed in the excellent posts above. I can’t believe I used to like Maggie a lot; heck, I even thought of her as a chip off the Alice Horton block. How wrong I was! And as far as I'm concerned she completely forfeited any tenuous right she may have had to sit in judgment of anyone's character when she hooked up with that old reprobate Victor!
  7. That sounds cool (both literally and figuratively!). I still haven’t figured out how to do my avatar yet, but hope to do so soon. Getting back to Days, I miss the good ol’ days when the bad guys were just that, not “awesome” anti-heroes (see Sonny Corinthos, GH) and the good guys were genuinely good, not moralistic, self-righteous hypocrites (hear that, Jennifer?). Don’t get me wrong, my favourite characters wear grey hats, but are NEVER hypocritical, nor do they have the whole fictional town lining up behind them to praise them no matter what (paging Dr. Tan!).
  8. "I'm sorry if I'm one of those who turned you off after my rant about the Sparkle Show." No worries since I actually kind of like the Sparkle Show, LOL! It's just been almost everything else I've been hating lately, sad to say. Hopefully things may pick up soon with the change in the writing regime. Like you I've been watching the show for about 35 years (started in 1981 when the show was still awesome!) and have had to take breaks now and then when things just got too crummy for my tastes---but I've always returned to Days.
  9. Just wanted to say I deleted both yesterday and today from my dvr without viewing based on what I read here and heard from my mother. Victor's actions are beyond loathsome ; I used to merely despise the old bugger for the misogynistic bastard that he is but now I hate him for being a disgusting old brute with (wait for it) absolutely no sense of family! Now much as I dislike him even I can see the inherent problem with that. When I first came back to Days about 2 years ago it was a blessed relief from GH where character assassination was rife. Well, over the past year I can see the same thing taking place on Days and I utterly hate it! I only hope the new writers can bring some of these characters back to what they were or this will be yet another soap I will have to tune out and I would really hate to do that because I've watched this show, off and on, since the eighties and I've always loved it. However, the last few episodes have been execrable with today's show apparently hitting rock bottom.
  10. To paraphrase the GH boards, Daniel ruins Everything! (Newbie here, but I just had to add my hatred for the character of Daniel to the general disapprobation!)
  11. Yeah, I noticed them showing where everyone was sitting, too---I was wondering at first if it was just one of their new "twists" or some fool thing, but nope---just sheer stupidity! Tonight just cemented my dislike of Cody, tho---thought his response to Caleb's heartfelt "loyalty" plea was totally contrived, and I think he's just a punk who likes to talk smack. Him saying that he and Derrick had made all the big decisions together; delusional, much? And I can't even console myself with his pretty (like I could Caleb, LOL! though Zach is more my type :)) because I never did find him attractive, even back for the brief period of time that I did like him. He always strikes me as a petulant child, having little hissy fits when things don't go the way HE feels they should. Oh, well, with my luck, he'll get to choose, pick Victoria and win 500,000---he's certainly been on a roll lately! :) Edited to add just read the posts about this and it does make a little more sense now---thanx! :)
