  1. It feels to me like he's ramping up. There were a few things mentioned here and there in the beginning. It almost seemed funny. But it seems like the more he isn't getting what he wants, the more adamant he's becoming, to the point where now he's implying he need to show violence to get his point across. Did he ever tell the guys exactly what his issue with Katina is? It seemed to me he was just ranting about how he couldn't take it, but I don't recall him saying what it was he wanted in that conversation. I was surprised no one asked him for more details or called him on some of it. Maybe that's just how guys talk to each other.
  2. That's what I kept wondering. I think both Jasmina and Lyndsey talked about what was good about their past relationships. I would have asked them, "If they were so good, why did they end?" That seems like more useful information to me.
  3. I've had three long-term relationships. The subject of cooking and cleaning has come up in every single one, and each agreement was different, based on both skillset and work schedule. The problem I have with O is that he has this idea of what a wife's duties are, and seems to have some disdain for Katina because she doesn't measure up. I don't see any compromise. I don't see any sharing of duties because they both work. Maybe there have been some compromises that we weren't privy to, and Katina agreed to do it all. But we haven't seen those. So he appears to be pushing his ideals on to his wife without compromise. No way in hell would I agree to do all the cooking and cleaning while I worked full time. I'd agree to cooking every meal, because I like to cook. Katina doesn't appear to enjoy it. However I feel personally, if it works for the couple, it's none of my business. But this does not appear to work for the both of them. He's putting ridiculous expectations on any one, let alone a working young woman trying to learn to be a wife.
  4. I haven't quite figured out why they only show certain people all the time. I understand they're setting things up for a particular reason, but I'm getting really tired of seeing Sam ALL the time. I also don't get why so many have targeted Mel and Michelle. I know they're easy targets, but there are so many more people that would make more sense, strategy wise. I really don't care for very many of them this season. There might be some I liked, but they don't show them enough to tell.
  5. I don't think such a big deal is made over a woman not working. I've wondered about whether some of the women this season have jobs. Like Katina, her husband is expecting her to prepare all meals for him... is she supposed to work and do that as well? I tend to not pay attention to what profession any of them have, so it might already be known. It just seems like they all have an awful lot of time on their hands. There was an issue on the Jamie and Beth season where Beth was claiming to have some important sounding job and really she just kind of occasionally worked for her dad. It was a problem for Jamie, I don't think because he was worried about her income, but more that she wasn't truthful... If I'm remembering this all correctly. I assume most of them are on the show for fame and kickstarting some kind of entertainment career, so I don't know why it gets brought up so much, other than drama.
  6. This is exactly what she was doing when Alyssa was talking, so it's a bit hypocritical to call out someone else for doing the same thing. I mean, I'd be doing the same thing every time Alyssa talked as well, but what's the purpose of calling someone else out for the same thing you just did? Drama... that's what. And wasn't it one of Lindsey's family that told Mark to do exactly as he did? Tell her it made him feel uncomfortable? Really, I think this all comes down to she's a mean drunk. She seems to be able to keep her mouth shut and let things slide, or at least be reasonable, when she's sober. But get a couple of drinks in her and she's just mean and nasty.
  7. It depends on state law, but for most consummating (or lack thereof) is not grounds for an annulment.
  8. I did the same thing. I made more money than working a traditional job, had flexible hours, and could work more or less for whatever I needed at the time. I already had retirement and owned my home. I did it for six years and I made more during that time than I have at any other point in my life. In the end, I went back to working a regular job, primarily because I like stability better, and I don't have to work out my own taxes and insurance. It certainly doesn't mean you're lazy or can't support a family or have money saved up. It's not for everyone, but it is definitely a valid way to make a living. The only thing that concerns me is that he, and the show, keep referring to it as "unemployed." To be honest though, it would be tricky for him to start a job right now. "Yeah, I'm going to have to take some time off so I can be on a reality show where I married a stranger at first sight." I'm not sure how many employers would be cool with that or want to hire someone knowing that. Are they not getting paid to be on the show?
  9. Am I the only one that thing Mahogany sounds American? Her accent changes, and she pops out English words and phrases fairly easily. When she was doing her talking head in Spanish, she seemed to hesitate on some words, much like a non-native speaker would.
  10. I'm glad to see some of us are easing up on Myrla. I didn't care much for her in the beginning, mainly because of appearances. But as I started to like and understand her a bit, I did not understand the hate towards her. She doesn't ever badmouth Gil and seems to speak to him and about him with affection. I think they do actually like each other. I totally get her spending. I used to spend a ton of money on clothes, but really only wore a handful of them. That's because I bought cheap clothes whenever I had the opportunity. They never lasted long, never fit well, and were quickly relegated to "at-home wear" while I bought something new. I recently had to replace everything I own. Since I had a fair amount to do that with, I decided I'd splurge and buy a few expensive outfits. What I've learned is that I can spend roughly the same amount of money, fewer shopping trips, and clothes that last longer and fit better. I don't wear the red bottom shoes, and am well past the age where I'd be wearing spiked heels. But I do buy quality expensive shoes that are in the same range. Like Myrla, I only have to shop a couple times a year, and I shop when I have the money to do so comfortably. I don't carry credit card debt either. I live in a smallish house that is nothing spectacular because I don't need a big fancy house. I think some of the things she does to make herself look younger age her a bit. I think she might be a bit insecure because she knows she's getting older. Going without makeup, however, is commendable and smart for her skin. I follow a skincare guy religiously. His skin is flawless, but usually has this glowy, almost greasy look to it. I just noticed the other day, it reminds me of Myrla's skin. I think she probably has a skincare routine to keep her skin healthy, either as repair or as preventative, but comes off looking a little greasy. I have nothing good to say about her hair, but I'm beginning to like her so much, I'll give it a pass. Johnny, you're going to break Bao's heart and drive her away, and you're going to regret it someday. I hope she never takes you back. Ryan is an introvert, but I think he really likes Brett. Rachel, I'm not sure you have the confidence to leave Jose, but I hope you at least stick up for yourself and keep being the lovely person you are. Zach, I didn't think I would like you, but I do. Run away, don't look back.
  11. Hayley didn't need a contingency plan. She had immunity, and I think she knew Flick would vote for George. So even if Flick had an idol, George would have gone home, and that was her next target anyway. The way George played it was brilliant.
  12. I wondered if he was using something like one of those translator apps you see them using in 90DF, either because he actually needed, or like something that attempted to give him an accent (I don't know if such a thing exists). Either way, he does sound robotic sometimes, and the accent seems to fade in and out rather strangely.
  13. Yes. There's a video of one of the Kardashians promoting something and it looks nothing like her. I don't follow them, so I assumed she had lost a ton of weight and had some cosmetic work done. But no, she used some kind of filter to make her look thinner and like a completely different person.
  14. I assumed she was exaggerating for effect or she just doesn't understand that dogs don't really have to pee that often. Possible that Brandon told her that as an excuse not to bring the dog to the apartment.
  15. I lived in the country until my house burned down. I had to stay in a hotel for awhile, and my dog did not get along with other dogs. Trying to get the dog down the stairs or the elevator and then out to do his thing without encountering another dog was more stressful than the house burning down. He only had to go out twice a day, but it was stressful enough that I sent him to stay elsewhere until I found a more suitable place to live. Apartment living sucks with a dog. It's a whole other ballgame when you can't just let them out the door like you can on a farm, but they should have taken that into consideration when finding a new place to live.
