  1. They also had Serena for insisting Fred rape June when she was nine months pregnant.
  2. I'm so bummed that this is such a short season AND that there isn't a forum! I'm adoring this show, and while it is hard to say exactly why at times? I think it's mostly watching sharp competent woman solve things , almost always in a way I didn't think of. Just found it and it's already over. I did not see that final scene coming. Of course after that final scene? I do envision a long hospital recovery that eventually clears her system of drugs. That's fine, whatever gets her back to the firm.
  3. Was Elizabeth Moss pregnant? She wore a coat in nearly every scene, and looked pretty puffy. She's back to looking normal now.
  4. Something to look forward to! Serena justice up next! Loved the acting all around in this one. Special mention to Emily, and bitchy bossy Serena, as well as skeevy Fred, June, wimp Luke, and the ever surprising Joseph. I know! I kept thinking I knew what would happen, especially since I've never missed a spoiler, but? They did it!
  5. Emotional perfection. The women finally had a particulation they wanted. "I'm a man! I deserve justice!" Well dude? You got it. So did a bunch of former Handmaid's.
  6. Oops! Thanks. He was creepily similar and sinister.
  7. It's so strange watching Bradley Whitman on Flack. Commander Lawrence as a kiddie porn dude.
  8. The finale title is bugging me. I'm going to guess June kills Fred, and so must flee to the Wilderness and hide. Back to Gilead, or just somewhere in Canada, perhaps hidden by sympathizers, or Canadian Mayday? I can't find any concrete spoilers yet.
  9. Back in season one, June said that even if a woman could get pregnant, very rare, only one in five had a healthy child. Odds are against her.
  10. Well he wasn't there, in that car anyway, when Fred and two others made up the whole ceremony/handmaid scrap, but I agree with everything else!
  11. Nick is in charge #1 guy of all the Gilead forces around Chicago. He doesn't have to explain anything to anyone there. Just get in a van and drive. The only real question is how the CIA gave him the heads up to come. Again, not difficult, I am sure the CIA has agents embedded. Lawrence is the question mark. I don't know what is up be with him.
  12. From what we saw in earlier episodes the world, at least in Europe, wants to know about Gilead too, so I would guess yes. They'd stop the trial. They are smart enough to know it was all about getting Fred to talk anyway. Shared goals.
  13. I need June to stop wearing so much red. WTF? Try green or black or yellow polka dots! Isn't she sick of red by now? Why is costume design doing this? We aren't likely to forget she was a Handmaid's.
  14. Well the friendlies are in Colorado, so I don't think they know about ,Chicago. Big wig's ordered that, not Nick. I'm sure he, like everyone, is being watched, but being a former Eye, he probably knows all the tricks.
  15. So, it seems like Nick is still Mayday, "We have friendlies there." He's also a Commander in Gilead, AND and at least friendly with the CIA, and/or Canada? Nah, he could have told them as much as Fred if that were true. Sounds like June should be very grateful to Tuello for letting her visit a terrorist the Swiss won't even talk to.
  16. He was hottest when he was with Eden, probably because he had more acting to do. He was pretty hot with June this episode, but in general, I agree. He is a better match for June though. He really gets her, and he does as many dangerous and brave things as she. Luke is a wimp. He is slightly less clueless than he was though. June tries hard to love him, but it's effortless with Nick.
  17. Whenever I think about things like this, I think of those who managed to survive gulags or the concentration camps. Both were much worse, but the human spirit can endure quite a bit, and has. Certainly more than Gilead, for those who have survived. Janine has. She endured the colonies as well. Above all, I hope Janine gets "Angela" back someday. In the meantime I hope Angela bites the shit out if her witch of a Gilead mother.
  18. Is Fred saying he will return a free man??? Is his latest brilliant plan to go back to Gilead? Come on, no-one is that stupid! Or is he?
  19. Yes, I think June felt completely betrayed by her country at that moment. All of the self control wss gone, and her hurt and fear burst out. No thinking. Just finally feeling. I liked this one. I loved all of the Fred and Serena scenes and p!ot movement there! Adored that bitch and bastard from Gilead opening their eyes! The world won't have a black box anymore! They said Gilead doesn't want war, did I hear that correctly? They will know lots of secrets. They don't want Fred either, but do want his son. The sheer audacity of those nuts! I loved that the wife saw that Serena was writing again, imagine the gossip back in Gilead! So, Fred and Serena are free now? Better watch their backs! A lot of people will want them dead, especially once Fred has spilled all. There was a quiet softness about this episode that I liked. It felt completely character centered, yet in writing this I realize now that there were major plot advances as well.
  20. Right after that he put back on his wedding ring. Pretty sure that was related. He was telling her he understands the situation with Luke, and its OK.
  21. I think he liked it, and he does go deep into his characters. What I remember is him saying he couldn't keep doing the "rape and torture of the week.". That stayed with me, and I completely agree. In several of the worst? I just skip to the end, the resolve, because honestly? I don't need that shit. I can't imagine acting it over and over again. Later they moved on to at least a few non rape and torture topics, which frankly remain my favorite episodes. A different kind of violence. Not each week a new young guest star coming in to be violently raped and tortured and killed. Violence is much more diverse on Homeland, and not on every show. The rapes were few and far between, and the motivations for any violence were based in wars, not this new psycho getting his jollies off.
  22. What was she thinking?? I was so distracted I stopped worrying about cutie Spence! At first I thought she was a delusion, and about to start snapping her fingers!
  23. Prentis looks like Morticia Adams in the Mexico scenes.
  24. I keep trying to imagine him kicking a writer. Was it in the ass? A schoolyard shin kick? How frustrated was he? Mandy pissed or drunk? Any clues ever surface? Glad he's working again though.
  25. Horrid, disturbing show that is utterly addicting! No wonder "Gideon" quit! Props to Mandy for that protest against rape of the week! Wish I had his fortitude! Damn this show is crack!
