Well I will start this new thread off with saying how I still miss American Housewife and what an annoying ending it had for season 5 with the cliffhanger pregnancy. I guess there is no hope for it returning as most of the cast are busy with other projects for the forseable future, even tho it seems Katy Mixon´s schedule seems clear right now, she has a guest starring role in the upcoming George and Tammy show about Tammy Wynette, but as far as I´m aware that wrapped earlier this year. And Katy seems to have stayed in Katie Otto shape with how she looked in The thing about Pam Should ofcourse be noted Katy is wearing a wig in these screencaps

Seeing them both at heavier weights, they really do look like sisters, Don´t let the perm wig on Katy fool you. Or maybe its just me seeing things regarding Melissa and Katy´s resemblence

How close is the shows portrails of the size of Betsy and Pam compared to the real life women? In this screenshot from episode 4 Betsy (Katy Mixon) looks bigger than Pam (Fat suit wearing Renee Zellweger) Ofcourse Betsy thought Pam was her friend, so I guess Pam could have gotten very close to an unsuspecting Betsy and attacked her neck area.

I see a few of you mentioning how a potential reunion could look like and I think those takes are interesting Here is my version of a spinoff from Mike and Molly that I would like to see. I know its unrealistic to bring back Mike and Molly with Billy Gardell and Melissa McCarthy as regulars with them being busy filming other shows and movies, but I would love to see a Mike and Molly spin-off focused on Victoria and Carl, I´m sure they could do something story wise with writing some kids in the show and heck even make a story on the lovely and now plus size Victoria. And maybe have Melissa and Billy guest star in some episodes to give the extra Mike and Molly sparkle.

Yeah that is true, she only has like 2 to 5 minutes of screen time per episode at max. plus 10 lbs wouldn´t really be noticeable at her current size I guess.

I´ve read she was wearing a wig in most scenes and in Pam´s version of the story, she had a bald cap and facial prosthetics on. When I read they cast Katy Mixon to portray Betsy I was a little surprised, because I kinda thought she might be too big if they are going a realistic route, but figured she could drop 10-15 lbs for the role maybe. As you mentioned she was already pretty big on American Housewife, especially the 5th and final season, so there is no reason to wear padding. So looks like she gained a little bit more after American Housewife was cancelled. Overall I´m interesting in the show, tho not really liking the dark comedy, tho as some of you mentioned, they are being respectable towards Betsy family so far and are only really making fun of Pam...still makes me a bit uneasy tho, yet I find it facinating

Well she does not have social media and she has not given any interviews, I´m sure when she does give an interview at some point she will talk about it. Right now she is filming "The thing about Pam" where she is portraying Betsy Faria.

As far as the tempo of the episode, it was crazy rushed, but I can forgive that part due to covid and the shorter season, I still enjoyed the episode. I really do hope we get atleast a season 6 of the show and if we do, I really wonder how they will handle the Katie Otto pregnancy. I do not think Katy Mixon is pregnant, now if she was and they wanted to write the pregnancy into the show, I would imagine that Katy´s agents would have confirmed a pregnancy by now, we gotta remember the episode was prolly filmed atleast a month ago and written in even longer ago, if she was pregnant then, I do think they would as mentioned have made it public by now. Also thinking back to Katy Mixons first 2 pregnancies, she made those public pretty early on as far as I remember. Now as for how they handle the pregnancy on the show I´m very intrigued, will they put Katy Mixon in some kinda preggo suit? and how will that look, will it look realistic? Or would they just dress her as they normally do with big plaid shirts? and not put her in any kinda suit, because Katy already is pretty big. Again I´m not sure how they will pull it off.
