  1. I was so excited to see the show renewed! It’s a new favorite, and I hope it stays on Sunday nights right where it is.
  2. How long has it been since we heard Kevin use the Siren story? Classic Mr. Wonderful. I had to stop and restart the episode so many times. I don’t know if it was just a little dull, or if my attention span is done for the week. I was happy Mark and Daniel pointed out what I was thinking: some of those flavor/combinations were just too much for the sake of looking special/different. I looked on the Misfit website to see if there were any flavors I might consider. The sweet potato/chicken seems okay, but it’s not something I’d buy to try unless it was at a local grocery store. Yikes to the cooler product and presentation. The family seemed to have a good product, and I’m glad they got a deal. They were a little corny, but the Sharks eat that stuff up. Like others upthread, I didn’t see anything special or easier with the car seat in the buggy, but I don’t have kids. Maybe I’m missing something. (I’ve also not been in a grocery store in literally a year now. Again, maybe I’m missing something.)
  3. Yes! At first I thought it was just because the lighting and filming looked so different, but it felt like a total whiplash in tone from the rest of the show. I now spend so much of Edrisa’s screen time cringing. It’s not great when dead bodies are the least gross thing about your scenes. I realize this family is Extra(TM), but Ainsley and the blood fake out to teach Malcolm a lesson with lolz? Yikes. I’m interested to see where the infirmary storyline goes because it does shake things up a bit. However, having Martin catch something so easily and quickly that the doctor missed was a little on the lame side.
  4. I’m glad to see I wasn’t the only one wondering how the stress pinch dough is not just a Play-Doh substitute. Though, I will say it kind of looked more like Gak to me in its consistency. (Does anyone else remember Gak?) Honestly, there are so many DIY activities for teens out there that provide cheaper alternatives than what the lady presented. I still kept waiting for the Sharks to bring up all these points, but alas. Muff Waders would do very well where I’m from, and that’s not necessarily a compliment. I am 0% of the target audience for anything related to salads, but I wish Simply Good Jars the best. BusyBaby Mat seems to be more versatile than other similar products I’ve seen. However, I don’t have kids, so I doubt I’ve seen the full market. The add-on/upsell offerings seem like a smart idea. Like others, though, I could not figure out why she wouldn’t budge on 3% for Lori. There may be deeper reasons, but none of them were disclosed last night.
  5. Re: Anna, agree. It feels like they’ve tried to present her as mysterious like Hetty and lone-wolf-y like Callen, but it never quite hits right. She just comes off as someone who always has to be holding all the cards at all times, be it knowing all the information or calling the shots in the relationship. I still cannot imagine what rack they get the Nell wardrobe from. There is a middle point on the spectrum of form-fitting and formless if RFS and the wardrobe department don’t want to do the former. I know H&M has a new line coming out that seems like a higher end version of some of the things Nell has worn; however, I only know about this new line because of the ads I’ve started to get for it, which I fully blame on reading and having so many discussions on Nell’s wardrobe. On the episode itself, it gets worse in hindsight and reflection, though it’s still not horrible. It’s just so hard to judge it on its own when it followed a great episode. I almost feel like you could view “Russia, Russia, Russia” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You” as representing the show over the years. “Russia, Russia, Russia” hit so many right notes: we had the main four together again, action, plotting, some con-level hijinks, and an ending that harkened back to G Callen’s spy skills. It was an old school episode. “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You” was fine and on par with what we get these days in better episodes. There is character stuff that is drawn out and sometimes just repetitive instead of adding new things. The only thing I liked was the Sam/Kam scene. The Callen drama and Kensi/Deeks scenes just annoyed me because they featured characters I love in storylines I’m sick of. The case parts of the episode also moved more slowly until we got to the shoot out scene. Joelle in danger just doesn’t have the impact for me I think they were hoping for. Do I get annoyed at fridging women? Yes. Did the Joelle stuff make me shrug? Also, yes. I’m hoping the next ep is worth the wait.
