  1. There was no new episode last night because of The State of the Union address. There was a repeat of episode 3 on Wednesday night.

Episode 2: Scotland: My Mother’s Country. Past meets present as Eugene explores his emotional family history in Glasgow and lives like a royal at the stunning Candacraig castle. 3. I’ll miss the sun/daylight in the morning. I don’t really notice the sunset time.
  4. PBS makes episodes available on Passport before they air on PBS. Discussion in this thread may contain plot information pertaining to the episode before it airs on PBS. Do not use spoiler tags. The pupil midwives reach their third month of training. An anxious Trixie receives an urgent phone call that leads to dire consequences for her patient. Elsewhere, the Turner’s Apollo 11 moon landing party is in full swing at Nonnatus House.
  5. Definitely saw TBBT’s Mary here! Especially when she was making breakfast and asking everyone “Do you WANT me to go get Sheldon?” 😆 Adding to Sheldon not being reliable about remembering his dad with the blonde woman-he’s probably still jet lagged, had no place to sleep, then stayed up all night with the video game, followed by a hallway nap….
  6. I have my notifications set to only “ping” when someone has quoted me, so I have no idea if anyone is reacting to my posts 🤷‍♀️. It took me 3 tries to write and post this because of the constant page reloading, which has been a problem since before the relaunch. But, hey, we have new emojis!!
  7. i went to a local breakfast/lunch place and ordered a grilled cheese-American cheese, sourdough bread. He’s punching launch codes into the register and I see he’s put in grilled ham & 3 cheese, no ham, no Muenster, no provolone. I asked what? He said they redid the menu last week and there’s no grilled cheese anymore. So I paid for a really overpriced sandwich. And when it was just grilled cheese, you chose between the 3 cheeses offered. If he would have explained about the ham and 3 cheese, I would have just eliminated the ham and had a 3 cheese grilled cheese. Since it was noon, they were slammed and I was so flummoxed by it all, I just let the order stand. But really, eliminating a simple grilled cheese?
  8. I do find myself using the Teddy bear when someone needs a hug.
  9. I get the SOTU and March Madness, that means shows just don’t air. It’s the reruns that are annoying! NCIS is in reruns until the end of the month. But they wanted to get on the air, especially for February sweeps and they want to have fresh shows for May sweeps, I guess.
  10. March Madness is only on Th-Sun. They are showing repeats on 3/11 and 3/18.
  11. Our School District has a Foundation that gives Grants to teachers. They sent out their quarterly newsletter. Item #4: “The Foundation Excepting Applications for $26,000 in 2024 Scholarships.” Excepting?
  12. Coca Cola has a new flavor-Spiced. It is raspberry flavored. Not quite on a Dr. Pepper level, but not too bad. I noticed the new flavor on the shelf because they changed the label on Cherry Coke. I read that label carefully to make sure it WAS Cherry Coke and not Diet Cherry Coke, Cherry Coke Zero, or any other variation that was not Cherry Coke.
  13. Episode 8: As Frederick grieves the loss of Clara, Enright receives a letter that pushes Frederick to confront his past; Clara and Davison adapt to life in the North, as Clara grapples with happy memories of home. Season finale (Series finale?)
  14. A repeat tonight ☹️. I would have thought with a shortened schedule we wouldn’t get any repeats, especially since there is no high profile show on against it….
  15. There has always been speculation about how a Celebrity would do in regular Jeopardy, especially since (it seems) Celebrity Jeopardy questions are a bit easier. I think Ike answered that challenge!
  16. I’ve been getting FedEx emails about packages being undeliverable in my Junk folder. Let’s count the ways they could possibly be spam: I didn’t order anything; it’s FedX in the body of the email; the tracking number is not the format that FedEx uses; one came at 5:00 am and said they tried to deliver at 9:09 am (time travel!); and, my favorite, the 2 that are in there now said they tried to deliver at 9:64 am and 9:91 am. They are consistent about trying to deliver in the 9:00 am hour! Oh, also FedEx leaves a post-it on the door, not email.
  17. The NCIS team is in a race against time to find a missing officer who disappears during his wedding proposal.
  18. Nolly, starring Helena Bonham Carter (The Crown, Harry Potter) debuts on PBS on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at 9/8c. The Guardian (UK) calls Bonham Carter’s performance “brilliantly camp” and the series itself “impeccably put together.” Nolly reveals the story of Noele “Nolly” Gordon, one of the most famous faces on British TV in the 1960s and 70s, whose unceremonious firing from her hit show at the height of her career was front-page news. A bold exploration of how the establishment turns on women who refuse to play by the rules, Nolly is an outrageously fun and wildly entertaining ride through Gordon’s most tumultuous years, and a sharp, affectionate, and heart-breaking portrait of a forgotten icon. Along with Academy Award®-nominated Bonham Carter, the cast includes Mark Gatiss (Sherlock, Game of Thrones), Con O’Neil (Happy Valley, Our Flag Means Death), and Augustus Prew (The Morning Show, About a Boy), among others.
  19. PBS makes episodes available on Passport before they air on PBS. Discussion in this thread may contain plot information pertaining to the episode before it airs on PBS. Do not use spoiler tags. Violet and Matthew are worried about Fred's ability to serve as the mayor’s consort. Later, Fred falls ill after a minor injury. Meanwhile, the Nonnatus team is thrown into turmoil when a newborn baby is diagnosed with bilateral hip dysplasia.
