I believe Tyra is going to a college further away because she is on a cheerleading scholarship. I think that was the only way she was able to attend college. I may be wrong, but it seems like that’s part of the reason why she was stressed about cheer last season. Compared to the other girls who probably wouldn’t blink an eye at a strange man moving in with their toddler, she stepped up and immediately got help. She’s very lucky to have the help she needs in order to get her education.
