  1. Part 9: Joey, who's been Carlo's friend since childhood, turns himself in and offers to testify vs. Carlo and Gina. So Michael gets him to drink a lot of water after quoting a W.H. Auden poem to him. Who knew the youngsters appreciated old poetry! Before you now it, Joey is gulping down water while testifying and then passes out. Michael drugged the water! Since Joey didn't get cross-examined, his testimony is inadmissible! Frannie confronts Adam, because she knows who Fia is. Tells him he's being pulled to her because of what happened to her brother, the one Adam killed. Not Clay Davis thinks his godson Adam is just having girlfriend problems. See Clay Davis would be high-fiving Adam for having two gfs and for one of them being his teacher. He calls Frannie Mrs. Robinson, like 17-year old Adam would know who the fuck that is. But Not Clay Davis decides to confront Frannie and threaten her with getting her busted for statutory rape, becoming a registered sex offender, being banned from teaching forever, etc. Then Frannie lets him know that Adam killed Rocco and is dating Rocco's sister. Not Clay Davis, usually a man of many words, is speechless. Speaking of foot in mouth, Detective Nancy warns Jimmy not to mess with Michael and Adam. Light goes off in Jimmy's head and they figure out that Fia's new bf is Adam, Michael's son. So Gina and Jimmy stage an interception. With a priest. While Fia is becoming increasingly atheist. Meanwhile Carlo's defense attorney tries to prep Carlo for testimony telling him that he has to say he was scared and threatened when Kofi came to his cell. Carlo is too cocky and dumb to say he was scared. Jimmy is watching Carlo being clueless while knowing that Kofi didn't kill Rocco. Speaking of dumb sons, Adam gets a text for Adam to come meet her dad. And the dumbass goes out into the night, headed out to meet Jimmy. He doesn't tell Michael where he's going but Michael figures chip off the old block, he's going to go hook up with the gf. Michael is oblivious at that moment because he's proud for drugging up Joey the witness who would have put Carlo and Gina away for a long time.

  3. 3. They get enough ratings that they green light a season 2. Or a reboot season a couple of years down the line. 😉
  4. When TJ kept saying "I'll let you know" about the later stages of the daily challenge, it could have meant they were making things up as they go along, seeing who would win the first stage. Or at least that's what Bill Simmons and David Jacoby mentioned in their podcast.
  5. It sounded like he had to convince her to move to Europe. He's the one used to traveling and must have wanted it more than her and she had to give up her job? So London makes sense for language and being a very good hub for traveling to Europe. Maybe he became accustomed to living in the post places. Whenever I visit London, I try to stay in a popular area with a lot of good restaurants and bars around. That meant taking an hour ride on the Underground away from the airport, even for a 1-night layover. There's shopping in several places but I guess she wouldn't be happy with up and coming areas in East or North London. London is great but you can find so much better weather in Europe itself. But they were from New York? So maybe they prioritize things like high end shopping and dining, though you can find that in most big European cities, where they could also get by speaking English.
  6. Not familiar with the Indian city they showed. Must be pretty big and cosmopolitan. They all spoke English pretty well. She was annoying. But at least we didn't get the usual couples pretending to like modern vs. traditional charm. This time it was city vs. burbs with the girl playing the role of the spouse who wants to be near cafes and people vs. peace, quiet and trees. She also complained about being able to see into the neighbors' yards and them being able to look back in. But the complaint about too much light was a new one. HHI needs to get more script templates. Dang my Tivo didn't pick them up. For some reason they didn't code them as new. Yeah they really should spin off under a separate name.
  7. Just saw a commercial for a show on Discovery+ hosted by Snooki. But it doesn’t seem to be some multi episode show, just some one off. Maybe it’s a trial so she can get into hosting rather than be part of some scripted reality show. https://www.hgtv.com/shows/hgtv-news/discovery-plus-is-your-new-destination-for-beach-shows
  8. Emily in Paris got 2 Golden Globes nominations while these more worthy shows didn't get any or just one! https://www.buzzfeed.com/ehisosifo1/emily-in-paris-golden-globes-snubs
  9. The daily was very entertaining in the first stage, with CT and Nam being sneaky. All the players call it the daily but doubtful they’re playing every day. The first stage is purely trickery and in Cams case, luck. Strongest person couldn’t fight 4 others off. But the other stages turn into the pole elimination, with size and strength deciding the match. CT was pissed when he found out about stage 3. Maybe if they did accumulated time he and Big T might have had a chance. The Asset Destruction elimination was okay. Even with the puzzle it’s a retread. Guess they epwanted to use that cage and the big screen again. Probably too cold to have them do swimming events unless there was a heated pool. Maybe they don’t want to do another long distance run of some kind? Are they going to cut back on the endurance aspect of the Final?
  10. I don't think Fauci would travel to LA. And Bill may prefer to have live guests.
  11. One can argue that it takes even better acting to perform bad scripts.
  12. Perplexing. Wasn't the story that she sought him out, that she pursued the relationship when she was still a teen (but presumably over the age of legal consent)? For years after she "broke up" this story didn't change. But apparently she referenced being victim of sexual and physical abuse and now she is saying it was him? I just watched Seduced, the NXIVM doc so I guess it's conceivable that he could have targeted her or groomed her to be seduced.
  13. So is this an American production shot in Paris so it would be eligible for the Golden Globes and Emmies but a show like Lupin is a French production, financed by Netflix, so it wouldn't be eligible for Golden Globes or Emmies? BTW, Lupin has some interesting photography of Paris. Aside from the pilot filed under the Louvre Pyramide, they don't go for the same postcard type of shots at Emily in Paris. It's more at th ground level, going to places where people live. Vive la difference!
  14. OTOH, you could say he isn't leading her on, likely to break her heart more severely later on if he let her believe it was a serious thing for him too. All he had to do was give her a minor peck so that she doesn't make too big a deal out of it. Could be he has his own issues, rather than being cruel or just oblivious. I'd never heard of it. Nice gesture by the others. They shared something, just to be kind to her. Thought really does count.
  15. Cam gave an interview about her book (link in Media thread). She said her days of reality shows are over, no longer wants to be there. So she wouldn't do the Real Housewives of Charleston some day? In her last season she talked about having an independent career. She supposedly pushed back for years on having a baby. She loves her daughter but in the last SC season, she claimed she was getting bored cooped up with an infant, wanted adult companionship. Seems to also be against having another one. Then she openly thirsted for Naomi's boyfriend. So is she really into her husband, some viewers wondered? Of course a lot of it could have been for show. But does she have quite the same income opportunities without the SC paycheck and whatever other opportunities it may offer? Maybe her reality show star memoirs will bring in the money. Or maybe she's content to be just a housewife to a doctor at last. Does she have her own bank account?
  16. Ok I’ve only watched 4. I’d say the problem wasn’t the old man disguise, it was going on the show in the first place. How could he hand over the only copy of the tape to the TV show? Better to digitize it and post it on Twitter. Come on, Assane is a brilliant hacker who can create convincing deep fake videos, hack into Circe smart speaker (doesn’t exist but other countries do have smart speakers with digital assistants). Why in the hell would he hand over a rickety old VHS without making a digital copy? But Pellegrini is famous so if he posted on Twitter, it would have gotten way more views than Autre Edition tabloid show.
  17. The Siegels must like the attention, no matter how they come across, between the movies and the BD appearances. OK they must have known that the Siegels also lost a child to an OD? So did they prod the Siegels or Lee to talk about those losses on camera? If they did, it's the lowest of the lowest manipulations. Pretty sure they encouraged Elizabeth to FaceTime her energy guru or whatever and have the camera crew follow her out to the deck. Of course the guru guy didn't mind signing the waiver to have his face shown on her phone an on the TV show. Rob seemed like such a low-key guy but his passive-aggressiveness at Izzy is really out there. Seems really offended that she got the title and directs their work. What was it that he said, she's the lead squeegee or chamois person? It's true but it's also a TV show too so here "lead deckhand" is also a role.
  18. What interesting timing that Homeland ends as the world faces a greater crisis than any imagined in Homeland's 8-season run. Homeland touched often on the threat of Islamic terrorism, first infiltrating the US with a turned US soldier. That led to a bombing at CIA headquarters. I don't recall if there was ever a nuclear plot in Homeland. Certainly for years, the fears were terrorists getting access to nuclear materials, either from the Eastern Bloc or elsewhere and setting off a dirty bomb in the West. Then in the last couple of seasons, you have a plot to set off a chemical weapons attack, which Carrie foiled but it led to Quinn being impaired and eventually his demise. Now imagine if that was a bio weapon plot, with a pathogen which can be carried by unsuspecting carriers, because of a 1-2 week incubation period during which time it covertly makes carriers very infectious, like covid. Any of the villains in Homeland could have opted instead to try to launch a bio weapons attack. Homeland ended before the pandemic became foremost on the mind of billions of people worldwide. No doubt other movies and shows will create stories around the pandemic threat, including deliberate use for political or military uses. Or maybe they will do a Homeland movie in a couple of years. Or the way things are going, a reboot, like they're doing with Dexter. Thrown enough money at Claire and we may get it.
  19. You have to wonder what Michael's end game is. He wanted to cover up Adam's role in the accident. Well technically, nobody else knows besides Adam and Franny. But Jimmy believes it was Michael himself who ran over Rocco so his family is still in extreme danger now. Does he think Jimmy will just kill him but leave Adam alone? Even if that were the case, he's not ready to sacrifice himself to protect Adam. He avoided being killed right at the dock by promising to get Carlo off. But afterwards, is he going to be safe? He can't exactly go to the cops now. That would keep Adam and himself in danger, not to mention him offering to fix the trial. Plus Jimmy has corrupt cops in the NOPD and probably other corrupt officials. Is he going to have to go all Walter White on Fring and those Mexican cartel gangsters and kill Jimmy and Frank? And probably Carlo and Gina too. Maybe Cusack, the corrupt cop.
  20. I've been watching. Eh, I still think it's overblown and the women all have incentives to appear on camera together. I don't think they have to make up. In fact MTV probably would prefer they have fights or arguments. They will keep showing clips of Angelina and Jenni grabbing wine bottles to use as potential weapons. But if Jenni refuses to talk or ignore Angelina, that could make for boring TV and that would be a problem for MTV. Unless they choose to talk shit about each other in a lot of talking heads or to others. Doubtful that if Angelina says something negative to her, Jenni will just clam up and walk away and vice versa. They're both getting too old for feuding and fighting. But you can take the girl out of Staten Island, but you can't take Staten Island out of the girl.
  21. They got a lot of talented actors in the cast but Margot had a minor presence on this episode and Maura is getting some lines but she's strictly relegated to the annoyed and smirking prosecutor. I guess they either got paid enough for bit parts or wanted to work with Cranston or both.
  22. Well that's even worse than. It costs hundreds right? I would dismiss is as a scam but if there are easy marks willing to throw money at minor celebrities ...
  23. She was going to marry some rich older guy but that engagement was broken off. Now she's relegated to being Kathryn's sidekick on a second-rate reality show?
  24. Who are the idiots paying for a video chat with Bananas or any of these grifters?
  25. "Shut your muppet mouth!" Madison used this insult in the finale to right? She either read it here or on social media somewhere. Austen seems nonplussed. Kathryn "defending" her reputation, what a riot.
