It initially was centered around Archie/KJ but things changed. Jughead/Cole was the most popular at one point but things also changed there. It would also take a lot of space to talk about the shit that’s happened and the disrespectful behavior from some of the cast. I get that the show became quite stupid but you could still at least respect your workplace and responsibilities. At least they pulled it together the last month and those who were already over it pretended to give a shit. Lili worked her ass off and has consistently been the most critically acclaimed cast member of the show. Betty is also one of the most popular characters as well as half of the three most popular ships on the show outside of Choni— Bughead, Barchie and Beronica. I mentioned in another post how they stopped being tactful about her, especially this year. Roberto even called her his muse. So IMO if they were going to focus on one of the top three, she deserves it. And all of the women deserve medals.

Actually there was more than one post that was quite harsh about Matt/Matt’s family about it, which is why I felt the need to speak up. Maybe the posters removed them, which is great. ❤️

Not coming after anyone individually and saying this respectfully— How someone or the family of someone hard of hearing chooses to manage their hearing loss is up to them. To call them stupid or imply they’re ignorant for not learning sign language is offensive and just goddamn rude. And I know that’s not the intent. My husband has had progressive hearing loss since kindergarten and for complex reasons as well as that it’s no one’s business, he never learned sign language and has made a successful life for himself managing his hearing loss by reading lips. Why Matt and his family also chose this route is their business. Moving on to the game— Getting rid of Hisam is goddamn stupid for the older alliance! He will keep winning comps and help them get rid of the more threatening players. And who will vote for him to win anyway? Plus we need a villain. Keep him! For now.

Roberto and some of the writers & directors pretty much admitted this year they consider Betty and Lili the heart and star of the show.

I’m glad to see her working with talent like Cooper and Mark after carrying this show on her back for a large portion of it. I know she also has some projects ready to roll under her production house after she finishes Harper & Hal. Hopefully the strike will be over by then unless one of those projects meets the waiver requirements like this one.

If anyone cares, here is what I heard happens with the last episode in terms of the main cast and ships. I know some of us have hung in there for some strange reason. 🤣 I think some of us are still in shock over what a terrible turn the show took.

Erinn asked to be released so this is why Tabitha has been missing most of the season. I’d say they could have done a better job of her absence but I’m not that dumb. Maybe they will bring her back for the final episode but I’m not too confident. Erinn ran the hell out of there right quick and hasn’t seemed to look back lol! Then to throw Jughead and Veronica together and create one of their worst pairings ever right before the series ends? With Ethel right there and Shannon being one of the few who could click with Cole? Point blank stupid lol. Jughead/Tabitha were very meh but Jughead/Veronica may be their most anti chemistry pairing yet. Not sure why they brought Ethel back and isolated her mostly with Jughead just to sideline her as the fat friend.

I posted a while ago how Cole may as well have been on a different set last and most of this season. Because of issues he was having, including with some cast members, Jughead was mostly isolated with Tabitha and guest stars. There had been stories about it for months prior to what we’re seeing on screen. Jughead being the narrator, writer, time traveler, whatever doesn’t matter. He was narrating for over five seasons while always still in the A scenes with Betty, Archie, Toni, etc. However it seems he pulled it together and they finished the series as a solid group professionally. Without giving away spoilers we should be seeing more of Jughead integrated with the main group as we near the end. I’m really enjoying this season and wish they had gone with different universes after season 2 or 3, when it was already obvious the writers wanted to play with different pairings. Start fresh each season with a new decade, new themes, and “new” characters in different relationships be they romantic, friends, or adversarial. We could enjoy watching different versions of our faves without arguing how they were acting out of character. You could kill characters off and bring them back like they did this season. Speaking of, Nicholas Barasch is a gem as Julian. It’s not perfect but it’s been fun to watch. I was never a fan of Archie but love him this season. My favorite “triangle” has been Archie/Betty/Reggie but dang if I don’t enjoy the way Dilton crushes on her. Love Jughead and Ethel. I appreciate seeing Cole‘s charm again in their scenes. Jughead and Tabitha were meh and I wish we could have seen Erinn work more with other cast members. Love love love Betty and Veronica. Not shipping them romantically but the chemistry between Lili and Cami is fantastic and they’re finally writing them as a solid bestie duo. Lili to me has always been the MVP and does wonders with the shit they throw at them but I’m into this lighter more fun version of Betty. I could go on because again, really appreciating the changes this season.

Actually, I pretty much called that once Ariana calmed down she was going to regret some of the things she said during the reunion. That reunion was soon after she found out about the affair, and she was still finding out horrible things Sandoval and Raquel had been doing to her for months. She went into that reunion an extremely raw nerve sensitive to any stimuli. She was coiled up ready to strike. Once time passes you start to calm down and develop a better and healthier perspective. It’s normal then to start feeling more empathy towards the people you verbally eviscerated when you were still in that raw state. I honestly won’t be surprised if she starts to feel more empathy or forgiveness towards Schwartz and eventually Sandoval. I guess bravo (heh) to you and anyone else who could hold it together so calmly and appropriately after being royally fucked up and down and sideways the way they did her.

Thank you! You can’t emotionally police how a person is going to react when someone has betrayed you, and you feel gutted and literally sick. That pain is real, emotionally and physically. IMO it’s gross for anyone to paint Raquel as a victim for being called horrible names by someone she hurt so deeply. Consequences are not always civil, sometimes it’s going to really hurt. I probably wouldn’t react so viciously but I’m not going to judge someone for having such a harsh reaction to their own pain. Do I think it makes these people better than her? No, and I think both Toms and James are at the bottom of this cesspool barrel. Do I think she’s a monster? Absolutely not. And I don’t think Ariana does either nor actually wants her to die. But Rachel did a really shitty, hurtful, evil thing to her so if Ariana wants to call her every dirty name in the book more power to her. To put the responsibility of Raquel possibly harming herself in Ariana’s or any of their hands is bullshit. I’m so over people not being expected to be called out on their shitty behavior in a less than “civil” manner because it might harm their mental health. You could say the same had Ariana harmed herself over what Raquel did to her. And I think what Raquel did to Ariana was 10 times worse than being called the c word, b word, etc or being told you hope you get everything bad coming to you. You can go in circles about this I guess lol. But I also never believed Raquel was in mental health facility. She was hiding out because she felt humiliated and embarrassed, and her friends and family helped her finally came to her senses about protecting Tom.

I find it hilarious people expected Ariana to react calmly and behave “appropriately” at all times, and not fly off the handle at some points. Because she was on camera? What in the world? They were fucking her over for months and fucking each other for months while fucking with her head for months. She’s not allowed to tell them to fuck off and die in a fire or use even more offensive language? LMFAO! Hookay. The reunion was soon after she found out, not real time. The betrayal was fresh and raw. Like I’ve said, I was never a fan of hers but I could empathize with how humiliated, hurt, deceived and stupid she must have been feeling. I’ve never been cheated on (that I know of) but I’ve been deceived by people I trusted that I also thought were close friends. That shit hurts. I can’t imagine a betrayal on an even deeper level of intimacy. Did people not watch Raquel initiate a conversation with Ariana on camera where she had her bare intimate issues about Sandoval and her own insecurities among other shitty things when she was already fucking him under her nose? Did people not watch Sandoval try to set her up to look like a bitch-faced mentally unstable girlfriend among other shitty things while already fucking her friend under her nose? I also don’t see this pendulum supposedly swinging the other way. There’s always been a small subset defending Tom or Raquel or both. That’s not new. By next season there may be a new dynamic but until then Ariana is continuing to reap in the rewards of their stupidity and good for her. I must say her new Duracell commercial is top notch and had me cackling. I’m sure by the time she’s no longer a fan fave her bank account won’t care.

This has never been about the cheating. It’s how it went down. Jax and Stassi were broken up when he hooked up with Kristen. Ariana wasn’t friends with Kristen when she hooked up with Sandoval. Lala was a mistress but she wasn’t friends with the wife nor giving her relationship advice. Who was someone’s bestie when they were fucking bestie’s SO? I also don’t recall someone still living with their significant other while playing out such a fucked up lie, gaslighting them, and trying to set them up to look mentally unstable. Schwartz is just as fucked up so I’m glad he’s finally getting exposed and hit by the shrapnel from the bomb he helped set off. I’m not even an Ariana fan because I often found her too smug and thought she was waaay too full of herself during the Kristen/Sandoval thing, but I think the shit being thrown at both Toms and Raquel is well deserved for what they did to her. That she has made millions from being fucked over this badly is sweet karma. I think this season and the reunion did huge favors for her. Let’s see how it goes for her next season but I think being away from Tom will work to her benefit. Same with Katie. I also don’t see anyone putting Lala, James, etc. on pedestals. People have been rightfully calling them out as well.

Except this isn’t about the cheating. This is about the gaslighting, trying to set up your partner of ten years to look like a mentally unstable bitch, fucking said partner’s friend under her nose, fucking the partner of one of the only friends you had and took you in, more gaslighting, both behaving like smug self-righteous bitches the entire time, etc. Ariana and Lala may have hooked up with taken men, but they were never friends with these women nor giving them fucking relationship advice on top of it. Just WTF, that’s some sick shit. There’s a huge difference. Cheating is shitty. What Sandoval and Raquel did was disgusting and disturbing on top of shitty. They deserve to get lit up right now.
