  1. Replying to above, the 3rd guy was killed earlier in the ep by OA and Maggie. And now I want some donuts.
  2. Not only that, they were playing slow-pitch and there is no such thing as getting on base by being hit by a pitch. Other than that (and the guy not going to first causing his team to lose - bringing back the anger I felt at the end of League of Their Own, when the catcher dropped the ball so her sister could win, with no regard for her own teammates or that the sister also didn't think of her teammates because she wanted to be the star), I liked the softball game part of the ep. Sorry for the long parenthetical, but I can't watch that great movie again because that ending pisses me off so much.
  3. I think they can put a ladder down the well, it didn't look too deep for a long ladder. The problem is, none of the ghosts can carry a ladder (or throw enough dirt in the well) and Sam and Jay are on a romantic getaway. Flower has to wait until they return. Which means the episode will be full of the ghosts trying to come up with funny/weird escape suggestions and hanging around the well to keep Flower company. So, it will be a whole lot of that until the very end of the episode when Sam and Jay get home and get the ladder.
  4. I found it weird that when Aron left, he said he couldn't handle it then made a big deal about it. If he really couldn't handle it, he would have said it and left. Turning back around, making sure he had everyone's attention, and being dramatic just seemed so fake... unless he was quitting the game, but I don't believe that. How is he going to get revenge if he quits? And how would he get revenge anyway? He can vote her out, but he would be doing that anyway for his own game, not revenge. Sigh. I didn't watch the two eps before this one, so I don't know the group dynamics other than Rob and Aron are allies.
  5. I would want a separate post if only so I can avoid it. So many shows I watch have people commenting on the clothes, and I can honestly say, I don't remember what anyone was wearing - unless it's totally off the wall. I just skimmed past a lot of the comments in this thread because of clothes-talk. Not that you can't talk clothes if you want, just that people like me - or maybe just me - will skip your post once the clothes talk starts - and I would like to read the other comments. Feel free to skip past my posts, too. 😁 Is the main guy she is investigating in charge of the homicide division? I would expect most episodes to be homicides if that's the case. Besides, how many juicy accountant embezzlements are there?
  6. Thanks for the explanations. Since it was listed as ep1, I thought it was going to be a regular series.
  7. Maybe this show is using the kid being with Maggie as a way to extricate themselves from the Mommy plot. She'll realize it isn't the best thing to do with her job. Can't believe OA is getting back with what's her name. Onto the case... Wasn't arrested the spy a waste? I thought diplomatic immunity made her untouchable. It seemed it was just a personal vendetta for Isobel. She knew something else was at stake and risked that, and ultimately that other guy's life, for a charge that wouldn't stick. It sucks, but I think diplomatic immunity sucks anyway. Did the boy's father die? I wonder if he'll blame Isobel. Sometimes people need someone to blame, even if it's the wrong person. As for her getting in trouble professionally, it's possible no one is alive to tell on her. Still, I liked the ep.
  8. It bugs me when people say something doesn't exist just because they never heard of it. It's happened a few times to me. Just because Kasey, or even anybody in NCIS, thinks nobody but that one company can/has synthesized whatever that stuff was, doesn't make it true. They know everything that everybody on Earth is doing? Can't believe nobody said, "That you know of..."
  9. Why? If you don't like that show, you can avoid that thread and not have to read through/past those posts in this thread. If you do like that show, it will help you focus on posts for that show. Please explain your side.
  10. Haven't seen the episode, yet, but did they say they used an inspector? Some people don't. Might have been an "as is" and they decided to take a chance - or - in the recent seller's market, my realtor told me many buyers said they didn't want an inspection to get to the top of the list. Desperate and foolish, I guess - unless you have a close contact with a contractor. My inspector went on the roof, too. Should there be another thread for this other series? A thread within this Househunters thread/forum/whatever it's called?

Don't know if the Orioles are this good or the Angels bad, but dayum... 9 runs in the 6th before the first out. Go, O's! Two routs in two games. Hope my excitement doesn't jinx them.
  12. I agree with everything except I like Nico. I, also agree that Betty is cute, or maybe I just like how Will is around her, but I don't need more of her. I don't watch the Housewives shows, either, so I just took it as a fun aside. Actually, it was Ormewood and Angie that were amusing. Plus, one of the housewives goes to jail, so that should make some of you happy.
  13. LOL, I missed the screen lady. There are plenty of HHs that we can talk negatively about, but I'm hoping most of their behavior is because of the producers telling them what to say and only showing us the scenes they think will get a reaction from us, so I'm going to mention a positive couple. I already mentioned them on the other thread. Thay were the lady from NY to Ok and her sister. They were funny, nice and didn't have a budget close to a million dollars or an expectation to get a million dollar home for $250,000. Very enjoyable to watch.
  14. Nah, just a good agent that got "more speaking lines" put in her contract. 😁
  15. I'm not really going to get into whatever these new forum things are because I'm not sure what they mean yet, but for those that thought TWOP was less constricted , I got a nasty msg from Allie after I mentioned God in a reply. I was told I shouldn't talk about Him as if He existed, that I should say that it was just my opinion. Aren't these forums all about opinion? Are we supposed to say, "in my opinion..." before every post? Or maybe just when our beliefs didn't align with hers. Can't remember if I was suspended or anything. It was a long time ago, but it still pisses me off. So... Saw the NYC to OK ep last night and the sisters made me laugh more than most sitcoms have lately. "If we're relying on her being our farmer, we all gonna die.". They cracked me up a few times. It was also nice to see a lower budget house hunt and for someone that thought 2 bedrooms and one bath was fine. Enjoyed and agreed with the sister that said she didn't need a separate room for a guest. If you can afford it, fine, but the families with 4 kids that need a separate bedroom for each PLUS a guest bedroom.... Yikes. Also thought it was funny when she told her sister she had to wait in line for the bath. Can't remember the wording, but it was funny. # I don't "get" hashtags # didn't these things used to be number signs? Then Pound? Now hashtag? What a versatile little tic-tac-toe board. Okay, I'll stop in case these things actually do get the attention of a mod. I know they are just trying to keep things civil here.
  16. Wow. I must be the only person enjoying this season. I find the dude-twins to be goofy fun. They were laughing while saying they didn't know who Elizabeth Taylor was, as if they knew they should have.
  17. I think sometimes we don't understand our own motivations and attribute it to something else. Could be she admires what her mom (and her trainer, Mel) does and the army would be her path to that. And, yeah, there would be other kids in school that do good, and it was probably one of them that stood up for her, but like she said, it shouldn't bother her but it does. That makes sense. Most of us want to be liked and to hear that a bunch of people are putting you down hurts, whether those people are in your group or not. I don't notice the clothes. I'm more likely to notice homes.
  18. Right. Since the actual dollar value is inconsequential in this version, the banker's offer should fall in the middle of the numbers left on the board, not the middle of the values. Different game here. Something else I find amusing.. when people are eliminated in a game where eliminations are determined by other players, they say it's because they were a threat or the other person/players were afraid of them. Okay, if that makes you feel better about being voted out, but sometimes it's just because they don't like you.
  19. Wow. I just caught the very end of ep4, so maybe I'm wrong, and I never agree when people say a result is manipulated by the producers, but I'm calling it this time. Every other time, the banker's deal is midway between the numbers left on the board. This time, it was 9 and 3. Totally ridiculous and way too easy for Rob to take the deal and stay in the game. Someone talk me out of this, because I'm pissed.
  20. Haven't seen that ep yet, but at least it was the one with the possible disability that nixed the single story house. As someone who moved a year ago with the number one reason being my arthritis, I get angry when one person in the couple doesn't seriously and foremost consider limitations of the other person. That said, based on your recap, she is actually the selfish one. Not considering any possible real financial concerns or the fact that everything physical will be left to her husband if she has a relapse, just so she can have what she wants, is selfish.
  21. Isn't the invested money now a lot more? Surely Isaac can have his 20thou that he can't even spend, and maybe a bit more, and give the rest to Jay to make more meals that they all can smell. Also, why didn't Trevor make money for Jay and Sam? Although, if he offered, they'd probably decline. Lastly, I loved when Trevor said that Jay "understands a lot just from context." So true and I like that it's acknowledged.
  22. I don't know how well known she is. I've never heard of her. What character did she play? The Scorpion guy's handler? She didn't look familiar to me. Agree about Gemma. She is too bland for OA.
  23. I saw that and, maybe not that ep in particular, but I always wonder why, when two people, not a couple, are looking to live together and there are 3 bedrooms, one with an en suite, they don't have the person without the en suite take both of the other bedrooms. Sounds like a better compromise than one getting the larger bedroom w/ a bath and the other settling for one of the smaller bedrooms and the other bedroom being an office, not exclusive to the one with the smaller room. In one of the houses the sisters looked at, one could have had the large bonus room, while the other got the one with/on the same floor as the bath. If I have to run downstairs to use the bathroom, at least I have the larger bedroom. But no one says things like that. It's always one gets the larger bedroom with the bathroom and the other settles for a smaller room.
  24. I think it's less a sexist thing than a 'star and leading character of the show' thing. And Bailey is a woman and people are complaining that she can do anything.
