  1. I noticed that, too. Especially since they started by complimenting her look - then you can see the price tag on the bottom of the show. I wonder, too, if these items were borrowed for the show and returned later. Yet usually when someone borrows their wardrobe, the give credit to the designer of the clothing in exchange for wearing the clothing or accessories.
  2. Joy is getting beaten up in the media and on Twitter today for repeatedly misgendering Jenner this morning: https://www.thedailybeast.com/joy-behar-apologizes-for-repeatedly-misgendering-caitlyn-jenner-says-i-just-didnt-get-enough-sleep https://decider.com/2021/04/23/joy-behar-apologizes-for-misgendering-caitlyn-jenner-on-the-view/ https://www.theweek.com/speedreads/979162/joy-behar-says-misgendered-caitlyn-jenner-view-because-didnt-enough-sleep https://www.foxnews.com/media/joy-behar-apologizes-wrong-pronouns-caitlyn-jenner
  3. EXACTLY. It was a Freudian slip, if ever there was one. She started off by referring to Jenner as 'he' and continued with that, and to me that means she doesn't see Jenner as a female. She's never done that with Laverne Cox on the show - wonder why ? Can you imagine if it was Meganutz doing this over and over this morning ? I'm sure no one here would be believing her apology, or giving her a pass like some are with Joy.
  4. It shouldn't. Exactly - and her throw-away excuse "I think I just didn't get enough sleep last night..." was laughable. I've always liked Joy, and expect more from her.
  5. She shouldn't have done it at all. CJ has identified as a woman for many years, and Joy should know her pronouns. I don't think Joy has referred to other females as 'he'. She closed with "I think he should - she rather - should take a seat..." WOW - how insulting, no matter the apology. Maybe I'm sensitive about this because I work in a college where this is so prominent. Many transgendered students and staff. We had to go to three diversity workshops in the past 12 months which emphasized the importance of knowing someone's pronoun choice and addressing them correctly, otherwise you're insulting them or mocking them (intentionally or not). If it continues, you have to attend the workshop series all over again. I think Joy could benefit from these workshops.
  6. How the hell many times will Joy refer to Caitlyn Jenner as 'he' in the segment ? Joy, the Democrat, the pro-LGBTQ host, referred to her multiple times as 'he'. 'He' has Brad Pascal running the campaign, that's who's running his campaign' etc. - right to the very end.
  7. The commercials were running the week of April 5 on CBS. I couldn't believe they were saying this about 'The Talk', but I thought maybe they were going to flip the script for the rest of the season and try to really improve their dismal ratings. They proved their deep issues and big topics were 'naked Lizzo'.
  8. Two weeks ago, CBS was promoting this show as covering 'Deep Issues' and 'Big Topics', before they returned on April 12. So the nation is talking about the 'big issue' and 'deep topic' of the 16 year old girl getting shot to death by the police yesterday - just about every live talk show was covering this - and what does this show talk about ? Lizzo's naked photo. Seriously. I guess naked Lizzo is a 'big topic' and 'deep issue' for their audience only. So much for talking about 'racial issues' - that was a one and done for April 12.
  9. What an obvious set-up to praise Whoopi today. She pretends to ask the question "Is anyone going to watch the Oscars this weekend? Sarah ?" To which Sara goes into ass-kissing mode and tells her she's on the cover of VANITY FAIR, celebrating her 30th anniversary to win an Oscar (who cares), and Whoopi feigned surprise that Sara brought this up. Then we go round-robin to the other hosts who never mention the Oscars this weekend, but do praise Whoopi for her 'amazing photos' because she 'looks so beautiful' (I gagged - the photos were horrible and she looked ridiculous) and then had to let the audience know the trivia behind her role in 'Ghost' (who cares). Of course, no one acknowledged this weekend's Oscars, which is what she asked in the first place. Talk about a bulls*** segment ! Why not just be honest with everyone and shoe the magazine and go on from there ? And did we really have to end the show with an Infomercial ?
  10. Oh for Frog's Legs! Meganutz mentioned she was brought up to respect authority, the military, etc. I guess she wasn't brought up to respect those older and wiser than she, by the way she treats Joy and Ana.
  11. Exactly. To me, this show (over the past 11 years) has not kept up with the times the way 'The View' has. They're still gossiping daily about 'The Kardashians' and Justin Bieber eleven years in, while much more important things have engulfed this country over the past five years. The April 12 show on 'race relations' was billed as a show 'they've never done before', while 'The View' talks about race relations practically every day. What took 'The Talk' so long to catch up ? Was it because they couldn't have a serious discussion about race relations with Osbourne as a host (we all saw what happened on March 10 when they tried) ? Yes, this show remains shallow as always. Nothing is discussed of any interest as they resort to Hollywood gossip, and lightweight fluff to fill the hour. The one thing I disagree with you on is that you said after Walters left, they had no one to fill her talent. I think Sunny Hostin - a legal journalist / lawyer for ABC - is the perfect fill for Walters.
  12. And she suggests everyone to leave them alone so they can find this healing peace just moments before two family members are going to join the discussion on 'The View' with their lawyer. Nothing like leaving the family alone - but first! - we have an exclusive interview with them for our 3 million viewers! Then the media can leave them to their healing peace.
  13. Rosie O'Donnell was interviewed the day after her 59th birthday last month. The last ten minutes of the interview she talks about her season on 'The View', and the current season on 'The View' with Meghan McCain. At one point she tries to derail the conversation about her experience on the show by bringing up 'The Talk', but the host brings it back to her seasons on the show. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/rosie-odonnell-on-britney-madonna-rosie-show-view-more/id1507502534?i=1000513928803
  14. Whoopi - shockingly - pronounced his name right! It was legal expert and well-educated Sunny who butchered it, calling him "Filla-knees" instead of the correct pronunciation, 'Fill - on - is'. It must be really embarrassing for Sunny when Whoopi proves to be the smart one out of the two.
  15. Meganutz has so much to say, yet says very little in the end.
  16. Today's guest will be Philonise Floyd. I can't wait for Whoopi to butcher that first name (possibly his last name, too) when introducing him. If she couldn't pronounce 'Karen Olivo' the other day there's a snowball's chance in hell she can pronounce his.
  17. I wonder if she'd have that 'great fondness' for Presidential losers if the 2008 election ended up differently ?
  18. I thought today's show would never end. It was so long and drawn-out, and they didn't have much to say. Such a short tribute to Mondale, and Meganutz had to include the holy "MyFather" but never mentioned Palin by name. Hmmmmm.
  19. Rudin was behind the multi-successful Broadway revival of "Hello Dolly" starring Bette Midler in 2017-18. Midler has remained quiet about Rudin and his work behavior. Rudin is also behind the upcoming revival of 'The Music Man' starring Hugh Jackman - another big celebrity who has remained silent. Now remember - this has been going on forever, it's not something new - yet Goldberg said in interviews a few years ago that she would love to be part of the revival when Midler was leaving, and Behar said on the show the role was offered to her. So Goldberg was willing to work with Rudin in 2017 and again in 2019 for TKAM (most likely knowing what his work reputation was all about), and Behar said she didn't want to be in the musical, yet never mentioned his awful behavior and not wanting to work with someone like him (until yesterday).
  20. I saw a clip on YOUTUBE from today's show in which they discussed the controversy over Hollywood / Broadway producer Scott Rudin. I'm familiar with this controversy since the story broke about two weeks ago, and Goldberg was part of the report. Goldberg had no comment on the report when it was published, and today she didn't say anything either (all she did was introduce the topic messing about Olivo's name, and asked each host what they thought - but Goldberg didn't share much of what she thought). For those not familiar with the report and what was said about Rudin and Goldberg: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/features/everyone-just-knows-hes-an-absolute-monster-scott-rudins-ex-staffers-speak-out-on-abusive-behavior
  21. Only when that 36 year old is full of undeserved self-arrogance and self-importance.
  22. Maybe that's why they've stayed hundreds of miles apart during the pandemic. Mother McCain didn't want to be around the brat less than half her age who was constantly rude and snappy to her ! 😄
  23. Oh thank you ! The Gods of the Garage Sales heard my prayers !
  24. Looks like I missed a whole lot of nothing today - that's a good thing. And I missed VYD , and saved a ton of money by not shopping the garage sale! That's an even better thing.
  25. No show for me this morning. ABC coverage of Chauvin trial.
