I just read that Janelle's son unalived himself. Sister Wives star’s son Garrison Brown dies aged 25 (msn.com)
I realize this is a comment about the words Jill might use in this situation. However the death of Garrison is a tragedy. The Sister Wives posters are all very upset as we’ve watched him grow up on TV. Plus several are remembering our own children that have died. Some people have lost family members to suicide.

I think we all feel like we knew Garrison even though we only saw him on TV. Our shock and sadness pales in comparison to what his family and friends are going through. I saw the photo from his latest cat adoption.. It’s so hard to believe that the big smile of that day might have been replaced with despair a few days later. Despair that caused him to take this action(if indeed it was suicide).

As someone who lost a 31 year old son suddenly last year, I have a clue what Janelle is going through. My son’s death was due to a medical condition and I still feel like there should have been something we should have done. I can’t imagine how one feels IF it’s due to suicide. I say IF because the article says apparent suicide not definite.
I don’t think I can imagine how Kody feels. He’s been estranged from his kids for quite some time and now it’s too late to mend fences with Gabe. If it was suicide and if the estrangement was a factor, he might have lost his other OG kids forever.
What a tragic loss of a person that appeared to have his act together. It shows we can never know what’s happening inside a person. Be kind to people.- 37

Prisons allow all day visitors?
Depends on the size of the crowd in the visitor room and how many visitors are waiting their turn to get in. I could visit my nephew for a few hours if there were empty tables for other visitors. He’s out now and living a crime free life.

What is a ‘carnal’ church? Are there really no other choices between whatever church a person previously attended and a ‘carnal’ church? Couldn’t the reason for the change just be that the new church, same denomination, might be closer to the new house someone bought?

I’m wondering if it’s due to those shows still airing and Counting On not still airing.
More likely it’s due to do someone feeling that snarking on the Duggars is discriminating against their religion, while the Kody Brown family has admitted they are no longer attending their church and they don’t feel they are practicing polygamy as an expression of faith. Just a failed lifestyle.

Joe was killed before he even found out that the lady was pregnant with his child. Rewatch the episode when they first introduce Joe's mom and the Reagan's learn about him.
I don’t remember the episode Joe Hill has to be 30 or older. He’s only about 10 years younger than Jamie. Which meshes with the idea that Joe’s mom got pregnant at the academy. Why she never told Joe Sr was never answered adequately other than she wanted to raise him without interference from Joe Sr. Joe Sr died just a couple of years before season 1- the entire family was grieving and Frank, Danny and Jamie worked together to solve his murder. Which was done by cops. Specifically the Blue Templars, which Joe Sr found out were criminals.

We are left to assume that OA would have told Gemma about her friend’s life choices, but she got that call telling her about the friend’s death first. This is going to end badly for OA. Gemma is going to blame him for her arrest and death even if Gemma is law abiding. And I don’t think Gemma is law abiding. Most normal law abiding people will avoid going to a club with friends who are dealing at that club. Even if they don’t morally care what the friend does, they don’t wish to get caught up in the mess.

I don’t know anything about Globe Life Heritage. I do know something about Globe Life. Decades ago my uncle was an agent and then an officer of Globe Life. He made a very good living. All the nieces and nephews had children’s life insurance policies through them. I had policies on my children for a very small annual fee. We gave the older son’s up when it matured to an adult policy- he has plenty of other insurance. We kept the one on the younger son as he had developed a condition that could make getting individual life insurance more problematic. When he passed away, Globe paid the funeral home in 24 hours.
Many life insurance companies used to practice cold calling and outside sales at the customer’s home for decades. That’s how we bought the individual life insurance policies we have another company, with the required medical visit, etc. Now most life insurance is either sold over the internet or at a brick and mortar office of an independent agent. I don’t anticipate Tim doing well at this endeavor because he will only be able to sell to like minded people he knows. There will only be a one time transaction per customer too.

The (very few) rules were basically based on respect. Depending on the community one lives in, PHP is either 1 level or 2 levels below inpatient care. Folks at this level are deeply struggling with mental health issues often exacerbated by life events. For most, the group expectations make our groups feel safe, for a small number, any rule felt like a challenge.
These groups are diverse in so many ways - diagnoses, socioeconomic status, race, religion, profession, etc. A drug dealer could be sitting next to a college professor. A scared young adult could be sitting next to a seasoned matriarch. Someone with schizophrenia could be sitting next to someone with an adjustment disorder.
Those would be the type of online groups that are the perfect fit for the new direction the forum is headed in: coaching, creating, self transformation, etc. Badges and other visible forms of support and love. Rules to prevent tearing down the little bit of self confidence a member has.
I just don’t see a forum to discuss tv shows as being that sort of group. It’s basically an online groups of friends gossiping about the show from last night. I anticipate all the reality tv disappearing from this forum because of the new discussion rules. I’m not going to say kind words about Josh Duggar for example. So if I can’t offer a negative opinion of him, then his thread is useless. Now if what’s being removed is one poster being rude to another poster, then yes, the removal of the post is warranted.

I really am not interested in coming to this site to coach, collaborate, create, self transform etc. I just want a site where I can comment on scripted and reality tv shows. For scripted shows: the plots, the writing , the characters, the costumes etc. I want to be able to say what a nonsensical plot or an ugly costume and have that cheap laugh.
For reality Tv: these people consented to be filmed, and after filming was over, they created public social media sites and use those sites to make money selling products for themselves or others. They trade on their fame. It’s fair to be able to say I don’t like what they are doing. I say so here- I don’t go to their page and say one negative word to them. I don’t know where they live and I don’t want to. If I saw them in real life. I wouldn’t bother them.
adding one additional comment : if you felt Derrick was trolling Jazz on Twitter, then you can’t in return say it’s ok to troll Derrick. It’s unfair to both or to neither

Louise running for the school board could be interesting… so it will never be mentioned again on the show. Hardly anything seems carried over from episode to episode.
Can the writers make up their mind whether the Connors are neglectful parents or helicopter patents? Harris was in high school in season 1-Darlene never paid attention to her feelings.

At least Hana isn’t working directly with this new roommate. I don’t why she thinks she needs roommates. She doesn’t act as if she’s hurting for money.
I think the new roommate is shady and at the very least way too perky for Hannah to deal with.

Given that my snark meter is pretty high (and been around since the TWOP days), I'm not sure I've ever seen whatever issues they're talking about. If they want us to stop talking about something or someone, they better come out and say it. I see that Josh & Anna topic is locked, so perhaps it was getting "ugly" in there. Being treated like a toddler does NOT make me want to read or post here (which is maybe their point).
I think they have changed their opinion of what is allowed to be posted. There was a mod post about their new desired direction after the last site update. It sounds like snark about the Duggars and their friends is not allowed- that must be it because I think posters are fairly respectful to each other. This has always been a snark forum. It has never been a Duggar fan forum, but it sounds to me as if that’s what the moderators want it to be.
I know they’ve marked several of the threads titles as being disrespectful. Those titles were originally suggested and chosen by vote of the members.- 19

Everyone has the right to appeal to the Supreme Court. So if they want to, more power to them. However, what makes them think the court will take them up on it? I can’t see anything controversial about his conviction. I also don’t think the court sees the need to intervene in his favor. His civil rights don’t appear to have been violated.

I don’t think Russell killed their dad. He could be reaching out to Colter now just to tell him their mother did.
I personally think his dad fell. Russell just happened to be standing at the top of the hill when Colter looked up. I assume Russell ran away at that point. He’s probably calling because he’s actually gotten therapy due to his upbringing and is really to deal with things. Colter needs therapy and his Mom needs to disappear into the sunset.

No, he keeps his job despite the fact that he shouldn't have been allowed near this case, given his personal involvement. Not only is he involved, but he takes over the scene, overrules everyone else and eventually satisfied his need for vengeance by shooting his old nemesis in the back.
I agree that scripted TV shows seem to always allow personally involved agents and officers to rush in. They never seem to be reprimanded. However, the scene showed that he was justified in shooting the guy because he was in the process of firing at the now unarmed teenage victim. We know that the agents and officers had a camera feed from the interior of the building. It would be ruled a justified use of force. Also always happens on a scripted tv shows.

And yet, Jubal keeps his job.
Well yes. They had a confession and it fit with the evidence. People are considered dead in that instance even if they can’t locate the body. Jubal and the other agents can’t possibly be expected to find the bodies in a city the size of New York. If there are no other leads, there are no places to look. So people move on to the next case. There have been multiple cases in real life where people have been held just like these two girls for months, years, decades and found by chance. So yes, it’s realistic to think that Jubal keeps his job.

LL Cool J is one of the two LA cast members that I thought least likely to run toward a new series immediately. After all, he’s still doing his other job too. Linda Hunt retired and who can blame her?
They could have just had Sam transfer here without the ‘babysit Jane’ storyline. -

And why wasn't Marissa sitting at the front of the church with family (or even the second row) as she was a long-term relationship with Jace?
I found this odd too. I thought she was pregnant with his child?

Why does she and every fundy have to describe going out to eat together as a ‘date’ or a ‘double date’? My spouse and I haven’t dated each other since the day we got married - but we’ve gone out to eat together a zillion times or gone to the movies etc. We’ve also met other couples for dinner/ but never once described it as a double date
Can someone please donate a thesaurus to her? Maybe she can learn descriptive words besides pretty and neat.

Whether or not an actor got to return for this episode might not have been up to them. Pauley might have wanted to return, but might not have been invited or hired to do so. Other projects might have conflicted in other cases. Mark Harmon would have been the only person having total choice of if he appeared or not. Jethro wasn’t very sentimental- as the clip showed- he didn’t tell Ducky about his family. He wouldn’t have come back from Alaska.
Tony was sentimental and his return felt right. Ziva should have been with him. Bishop would have been appropriate. Abby would have been appropriate - but see my first paragraph in this comment. She’s probably been banned from the set.- 1

Then why choose Frontier? Surely the fare wasn't $500 cheaper than anyone else. They flew from Orlando and there would've been several options.
I suspect their flight from the DR to the US was late in leaving and, being idiots, they didn't allow enough time to clear customs and get to the gate to make their connection. And Jill blames Frontier for the whole snafu.
Oh I agree on all of this. I doubt they investigated all the flights when booking the trip. They probably went with the discount airline and just accepted the dates and times of travel without any thought to 1) did they actually save enough on the flights to make the cost of an extra night reasonable or 2) was the layover long enough. This one is especially bad because people mentioned Dave has flown internationally before and should know about the return process.

Robert Garrison Brown - RIP
in Sister Wives
I believe Gwen never actually moved in. Gabe did, but I read he eventually moved in with 3 roommates. Maybe college friends? I hadn’t read that Garrison had roommates until now.
