  1. Mallomars, by Nabisco, in a yellow box. But they seem to be available in stores only around Christmas.
  2. My dinner for tonight is already in the crock pot, and my house smells soooooo good right now! I'm trying out a Beef Burgundy with baby portobellos recipe. It has to cook in the crock pot for about 7 hours, and I spent an hour cutting up and browning the meat, and making the Burgundy sauce. I hope it tastes as good as it smells!
  3. I'd love to see The White Company and Sir Nigel by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Historical fiction about archers in the middle ages. Apparently his favorite books. During World War II they made a special exception of it so that it would never go out of print. I'd love to see something in the same vein as Master and Command, the Far Side of the World.
  4. Thanks for share. I'm really in a horror mood lately ) The last horror novel I've read is Brian Evenson: Last Days - Batshit crazy, weirdly funny
  5. These are my favorites: College Info Geek, The Tim Ferriss Show, The Productivity Show, Smart Drugs Smart, Extreme Productivity.
  6. The Unbearable Lightness of Being is one of the most interesting and thought-provoking books I've ever read, and made me think about relationships, society, and the self in ways I never had before.
  7. Finished A Memory Called Empire, some excellent political/cultural sci-fi that I was very hooked by. A lot of interesting comments on imperialism, culture and memory. Well recommended.
  8. I prefer paper books but I basically read 80% ebooks. It's cheaper; it's more comfortable when I'm reading long books or when I'm in bed and I'd need to keep a light on; I also have a commute and in general, I'm often traveling on public transportation, so an e-reader is easier to carry than a physical book; and last but not least, I read in more than one language, and I don't have to deal with the hassle of ordering books from other countries.
  9. I recently finished All American Boys by Jason Reynolds and someone else. Can’t remember their name. It’s a Young Adult book that takes the same event and writes alternating chapters from a Black teen’s and white teen’s perspective. It was great and I think it’s one I’m going to look to buy a few of for 8th grade book clubs. Also finished the book about East German punks (Burning Down the Haus by Tim Mohr. Highly recommend.)
