  1. Thanks! Kowloon, on Eater's list, is about 10 minutes from the Mill City Museum, and I like the menu, so that may be a good choice for me. Since it's cold February, I'll probably pass on any parks.
  2. My grandpa owned a grain elevator and mill in my hometown, so the Mill City Museum sounds so interesting! My very first job was selling pop (soda) to the wheat truck drivers when I was about nine years old. My mom was his bookkeeper, so I spent a fair amount of time there. Thanks for the recommendation!
  3. I'll paste most of my post from another forum. I'm in need of travel advice for Minneapolis/St. Paul. I'm flying up Thursday, arriving around mid-morning. I'll be renting a car, and staying at a hotel in Eagan, not far from the airport. I'll have some free time on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday morning. I already plan to go to Mall of America, probably between landing Thursday and hotel check-in in the afternoon. I'll probably have lunch at MoA. I'm interested in Panda Express - not much passable Asian food where I live now. I'll probably have most of Friday on my own. Any recommendations on things to do/see during the day on Friday? I'd be interested in seeing the Mary Tyler Moore statue, but not if I have to drive through a lot of traffic. Maybe a good museum? TIA!
  4. I'm in need of travel advice for Minneapolis/St. Paul. We're adopting a Chin from an organization in Minnesota. Moto is currently in a foster home in Minneapolis. 5. Week 20: 1/5 YTD: 43/100 four *, two C *
  6. I just read the plot of War Horse on IMDB to refresh my memory. Joey did get to go back to Albert and England at the end, but what a journey that was! And how rare.
  7. I haven’t read the book, but I thought a BMS (Which Pope) should have been called for.
  8. OMG! Glad she’s healing nicely! Saw this on Facebook today.
  9. Who is Molly Chavez? I don't remember a character with that name. For a while, it looked like Baez was going to be a love interest for Danny, when she came to family dinner. But that seems to have gone by the wayside. Good choice to not have her be romantic interest for him.
  10. I have that too. Mr. Zoey has Sledge Hammer! I have Sue Thomas: F.B. Eye. We have some others, but they’re still packed from a move last year, so I can’t remember for sure.
  11. Erin and her boss work together, surprising as that is, to aid a possibly wrongly convicted relative of a prominent pastor. I thought Jamie’s plot was interesting. We don’t always see how difficult former prisoners find adjusting to the outside. Good to see Danny making progress with having a personal life.
  12. Week 19: 3/5 one * YTD: 42/95 four *, two C * I couldn't post from my phone earlier this week, but I can post from my laptop. I'll try to post from my phone now and see if it works.
  13. I knew the minute they panicked over the old grill being gone, it would turn out that Calvin wanted rid of it and wouldn't care that it was gone. That'll probably come up again this season, maybe closer to the wedding. When is the wedding supposed to be, anyway? No, that's what washing machines and disinfectants are for! There are a few airlines that allow Emotional Support Animals to fly in the cabin internationally. I would think that one as big as that Saint Bernard might not be allowed without the purchase of an additional seat. I know that most airlines charge a fee, even for a support animal. This one was at least wearing the ES vest that is often (always?) required. It appeared there was one empty seat in another row, so maybe Calvin or Tina could have moved to a different seat. But then where's the comedy in that?
  14. I posted twice using my phone, but it didn't take! I also heard, or failed to hear, the "s" in Charlottesville. I've been to the Rotunda on the campus and the "academical village" Jefferson designed. I couldn't think of Brown, just Governor Moonbeam. FJ was an instaget for me. For today (Thursday), I went with Westminster Abbey instead of the Tower. Parsnips made me laugh. I fixed them for Mr. Zoey once; he liked them fine when he thought they were potatoes, but wouldn't eat anymore when I told him they were really parsnips!
  15. There's a clip on facebook of Katie explaining that her winnings means she's out of college debt now. Aside from the fact that she doesn't get her money immediately, and she won't get as much as she won (taxes taken out), that is great news for her. I paid attention, and both Yogesh and Jimmy applauded her in the clip. I don't see the arrogance in Yogesh that others do, nor does he seem "ungracious" to me. YMMV.
  16. What is SOA? The actor was in some Law & Order:SVU Chicago PD episodes this season. None of the Yellowstone's cattle tested positive for brucellosis, but the bison from Yellowstone Park did have it and were on Yellowstone ranch pastures. The risk for the cattle grazing there was too much to just leave them in those pastures. If even one had tested positive for it, the cattle herd would have had to have been destroyed.
  17. I don’t recall any of the team members from other schools against which I competed in debate tourneys in high school 50+ years ago, but I probably would if one had become governor, senator, or something similar. I do remember a fellow oboist against whom I competed at state contests, for first chair at band camp, etc. My guess would be what @Browncoatsaid, that Yogesh looked up James and made the connection.
  18. Week 18: 3/5 one * YTD: 39/90 three *, two C * I guessed Mariah Carey on that one. Also, didn't know Clancy.
  19. Mr. Zoey likes Brandy Alexanders. We bought the ingredients to make them at home recently. When we go for a celebratory meal (anniversary, birthday), I'll have dessert, but he'll have a Brandy Alexander. I'm not sure I would have spelled the Bayeaux Tapestry correctly. I always think Bayou (as in Louisiana) before correcting myself. I'm having a good, not perfect, week for FJ. No TS for the game is very impressive!
  20. Week 17: 1/5 no * YTD: 36/85 two *, two C *
  21. I didn’t like Phil’s mom as a character, but Vicki Lawrence and Leslie Jordan were so good together on The Cool Kids that I was happy to see her here. The calf delivery was so absurd. I’ll take a stab here and guess none of the writers have been on a farm, let alone seen a calf delivered. But the show’s tribute to Jordan was so great, all is forgiven.
  22. Sam & Jay tried to call Freddie, but he wouldn't answer their calls/texts. Thus getting food delivered on the chance that he would be their delivery guy.
  23. I’m in the UK now and watched the first episode. Glad it’s back!
