  1. I started to tear up watching Taylor (or Katie) getting emotional being able to speaker her own language and talk about what nation she’s from. This is the game I love, not how a certain couple played it. Looking forward to the finale. I’ll be happy no matter who wins.

  2. I’m watching episode 4, and Ryan’s conversation with Tricia Lee where he’s talking to her about her working with a developer to sell the rest of the Brooklyn Tower. I had to rematch it to confirm, but the manicure that she has at the benning of the scene is completely different from the one at the end of the scene—even though she’s wearing the same outfit.

I’m glad Island Vista sold fairly quickly. These agents must spend a lot of dough to get the other agents and interested buyers to come to these open houses. Besides the food and beverages, the cost of live music and synchronized swimmers must have cost him a pretty penny. I was chuffed that he gave each of his agents a grand to help him celebrate the sale. If the market is as bad as they say, unless you’re selling a lot, you need something to supplement your income.

I remember the show “Selling New York”, from about 15 years ago. They talked about how many months/ years it would take to sell a high end property, and how much the realtors spent marketing said properties. It was a great show, with no drama. I miss it.

  4. I really don’t like that the u-turned team could choose another team to turn. I wonder if that was always the plan, or was decided when TPTB realized Kevin and Gurleen were the ones being u-turned (and hence, could create more drama).

I used to spend a lot of time in Penticton, so it was great to see that part of the Okanagan.

  5. I would love if they travelled around the country (giving side eye to Top Chef Canada, who only films in Toronto). There is so much that this country has to offer, culinarily.

  6. I spent this episode yelling at the show. I yelled at the wealthy family who had the audacity to come on this show. I yelled at the UN, who probably has better things to do than host the dragons/sharks. I yelled at coffee lady (vanillin, the synthetic version of vanilla, came from wood pulp, not castor sacs. I yelled at the plant lady, because organic uses chemicals.

Ok, I didn’t yell that the flaus lady, but that might have  been because I was eating apple strudel.

  7. Was watching an old season (S14) last night, and while I had hopes for the new format, it has let me down.  That season still allowed for the performers to share some aspects of themselves, but to be able to see so many styles in one night. Plus, as so many commenters have said, the focus was on the dancing, not the judges’ reactions while they are dancing. I really miss the old format.

Liked the bike seat, glad they got a deal.

I knew the wedding package couple wouldn’t get a deal.  There are definitely companies out there doing same thing.  Not unique or patent-able.

Don’t understand muscle scraping soap, but Mark is good partner for it.

Did not like the bling thing or the mom who invented it. Call me a skeptic, but I don’t believe God has time to tell people what the world really needs is a Dollar Store gadget to adhere plastic gems on hair. Aside from pageant toddlers, sororities, and attendees of bachelorette parties, are there really other consumers for this thing?

Dance, cheer, prom. I can see a huge number of consumers. It’s so not my thing (also because I have no hair in which to put said gems), but I can see a lot of people who really would like it.

I think it is. Not sure about the finale where a winner is chosen but the rest  of it is. I don't think there will be any viewer voting, it's all up to the judges (aka producers).

The weekly dances being done as various dance challenges is giving me flashbacks to Star Search when they'd do the supermodel category with the models doing photo shoots in different outfits. And I'm already dreading Jojo and her stupid glasses and hyper screeching.

I really don't think I'm  going to like this season or this format.

Thanks for the Star Search throwback! The dancers were my favourite part of the show. When you reach for the stars…and catch them.

I’m cautiously optimistic about the new format (but really don’t care about them living together, and really don’t want the judges choosing).

I loved the episode, and seeing the Miller Caves.     That's something I love about the changing cities for TC, seeing the local sights.

I wish that the producers of Top Chef Canada would pay attention. It’s always set in Toronto (and the grocery store that they use is owned by one of the chef judges).

  11. I knew that I had heard of hat guy’s restaurant. It was featured in either Food and Wine or Bon Appétit magazine (can’t find the article now). I can’t remember how he came across in the article, though.

  12. I like the camaraderie amongst the chefs, and Kristen is wonderful as the host. I had a moment when the one chef was worried about his chicken being 72 degrees. I was thinking “oh, that’s perfect!”, but the remembered that he was using Fahrenheit, and I was thinking in Celsius. Looking forward to the season!

  13. I’m really liking this show. So on point with what is happening with young people right now (I don’t want to reveal the plot of this episode).

June is all over the place. She did light up when she looked after the abandoned baby girl. If this was a more cliched show, June would have adopted the first baby who came her way. (I'm looking at you, the Good Doctor) Sensitive question: White people adopting black (or other POC) babies is a fraught topic. What about the reverse?

It’s extremely rare, but it does happen.

as so many posters have said, this show was been a highlight for me the entire series. I’m content with how things ended and look forward to seeing these actors in different projects.

  15. I just looked up the ingredients in a few packages. They are NOT sugar free—sugar was the first ingredient listed. They are dairy free. There’s a lot of preservatives, but that’s what to expect from this product. The only way to make it preservative free is if a bakery was making the crumbs every day or two.

I would order, but I live in Canada, and shipping products here is often pretty expensive for smaller companies.
