  1. If they don't connect Hannah to QL in some way, then what was the point of her character being a physicist? My best guess at this point is that she was involved in the DARPA research that Tom mentioned as possibly being able to bring Ben home. Given that Hannah was a grad student in 1955, my head-canon has her being born in 1930. So if Ben ever does make it back to present day, his best chance of finding her will be at a retirement home. And the only way to stay together in the past seems to be for Ben to fail his objective and remain in the body of whomever he leaped into, which is not good on so many levels. So Addison has got to like her chances for a reconciliation.
  2. So all it took to get rid of Gideon was for someone that didn't steal his chip to leave? And how would he know, since it's supposedly a top secret program that he did not have access to? Or I guess he did, since he was able to waltz into their facility without being unalived by security. I'm still not sure what data he was interested in from Ben's leaps. It's not like it's future stuff that could be used to play the stock market or influence politics - it's stuff that happened in the past to mostly random people. As soon as Addison started talking about Hannah's husband getting treated I saw the "... but a year later he died in a car accident" coming. As much as I want them to bring Ben home, I'd settle for bringing back Ian's eyebrows.
  3. There was so much wrong with the airplane stuff it made my head spin. First of all, this was supposed to be the “new” Air Force One - which in the real world isn’t scheduled to be delivered until like 2023. Okay, whatever. But you don’t get to pilot that bird if you don’t know to put on your oxygen mask at the first sign of trouble. And it’s connected to a bottle, so not something that can be hacked from the ground. Also, none of the chairs in the conference room were bolted down. Gonna be fun when they hit turbulence and those things go flying! Was it just me, or did the “special assistant to the president” seem like a blend of Ivanka Trump and Kellyanne Conway?
  4. Wasn’t Ben’s first clue that she was seeing someone finding condoms in the bedroom?
  5. When Nicky said “I used to be a person...”, he then went on to describe the type of person he used to be and wished he could be again. So not quite as sad as thinking he’s not a person at all anymore. In his last scene with Kevin in the trailer, he reaches into the fridge for a bottle, shakes it, then put it back. Perhaps he realized it was less full than he remembered. Will NBC have a This Is Us spinoff with the family at the Pearson’s old address? I need to know more about this family and all the drama with the daughter!
  6. Saanvi keeps referring to her would-be companion in gender neutral terms, which makes me think we will find out she was involved with a woman. The writers seem to be going in the direction of keeping Grace and Ben together. I doubt we’ll see Danny again unless they need to borrow his truck. I’m also not so sure that Mic and Jared will end up together. My guess is she ends up with Zeke and Jared ends up dying. Definitely got the impression that LaRon Hubbard wasn’t a true believer, since he told Ben that what matters was that the people (passing the offering plates) believed.
  7. I’m guessing the support group was not 828 specific, and Danny’s loss was not related to that. They want us to think he was grieving the loss of his wife, but my money’s on his favorite labradoodle, Doody. Grace sure did send him packing quickly when Ben showed back up. No “Let’s make sure it’s really Ben and not some alien or something”. More like pack your shizz and don’t forget the rubbers under the mattress. One thing the NSA does do well - not field work - is monitor communications. And yet, these folks are out there texting and talking like it’s all good. Somebody told them 2018 has unlimited voice and data. But even the NSA “field agents” would know to keep a tail on Bethany’s wife, so her showing up to get Thomas was not the best move. I’m not really sure he’s in that much danger anyway, though. I’d imagine the “NSA” wouldn’t be in any hurry to repatriate any non-Americans who were on flight 828.
  8. Granted, there were a lot more trigonometric functions in Ben’s brilliant mind scrawling than I expected to see in financial math, but I think his plan came down to investing the SBA loan funds in commemorative plates, beanie babies, and lottery tickets. But to be fair, he was getting horny thinking of the hot math sex he was about to have. Well, before he had to go pick up his daughter from what will likely be the first of many run-ins with the law black Paul Blart. i probably heard wrong, but did the flight attendant tell the stowaway they were going to land in Belize? Also, while some planes have hatches to enter the baggage compartment from the galley, none have a way to then get into the wheel well. Stowaways that get caught in wheel wells started out there. But he would have done well to just hide in the baggage compartment. The angel statue was totally a Doctor Who ripoff. My guess is that the mastermind of the disappearance will turn out to be an alien named Doctor Whom that travels around in his her TURDIS.
  9. Is nothing on this show real? Let me know when TKC decides to have a season where the fiancés really are into web cams, drug trafficking, and harvesting organs, because I will literally binge watch the snot out of that. I was puzzled by the Azan/Hassan naming, but figured maybe it was a derivative kind of like how we get Bill from William or Peggy from Margaret. Or maybe he’s just trying to confuse her so she doesn’t know what to put on the marriage license. I’m guessing the home for single mothers will expect Nicole to move out once she’s married. Annie’s dowry seems a little high, given her background. Especially since it’s probably 2-3 times the average annual income in Thailand. But hey, she started the negotiations high and, well, David showed us in the “interview” his uncanny ability to foul up a business transaction. I’m hoping his son was already on mom’s insurance, and going to TX was to be able to go somewhere “in network” or whatever.
  10. I know that the sleeper agent had to go after Agent Christopher in 1981 so the show could tie it to a historical event, but wouldn’t it have made more sense tactically to kill her when her father was killed? Maybe have a sleeper do the carjacking instead of the original culprit. Was it just me, or did Agent Christopher have a more discernible Indian accent when the team returned to 2018? Can’t say I’m surprised they’ll find a way to travel back after their birth dates. That will open up new possibilities plot-wise. I like how the writers seemed to anticipate the fans’ fact-checking on things like the Cagney & Lacey premiere and Lucy supposedly traveling back to meet Flynn.
  11. I wonder if, in the new timeline, George Lucas ended up replacing Lando Calrissian with Jar-Jar Binks as the head of Cloud City, causing Empire to bomb and killing the Star Wars franchise. i think Rittenhouse needed Grandpa because he had a unique ability to map out the effects of changes to history. It’s still not clear what their goals are, though.
  12. Random thoughts: I totally thought little Jack was going to eat a worm for some reason. what are the chances Toby’s little performance goes viral? I saw at least one guy recording it on his phone. I’m guessing Kate’s nemesis spells her name “Madisyn”.
  13. Liam is totally the love child of Darius and Tess (the ex-gf, not the computer, because ew). The writers didn't have to make him an orphan, but they did. It's for a reason. Shocking twist #2: Jillian is Nero. Nobody is buying her books, so she's ready to burn this MF world down.
  14. Well of course Darius can dance... His last name literally means "dance" in German! Didn't know that truth serum made one trip out like they'd licked the special toads. Interesting that Harris would arrest Grace for violating the Logan Act, but not Darius. She at least works for the executive branch (although granted press secretaries are not normally delegated to handle international relations). Oh, and we're not gonna go after them for stealing uranium? I totally see the EM drive plan failing, given that the name of the show is also the name of the ark that Darius has built. I'm a little worried that with Jillian in charge of choosing the 160 it's going to end up being her, Liam, and 158 cute puppies and kittens. Speaking of which, I know that the ship is supposed to save humanity, but what about the animals?
  15. Hopefully the professor included a user's manual with the stolen EM drive, considering how he and Liam are the only ones who knew how it works. I'm assuming Tanz Industries has working artificial womb prototypes, so nobody would be forced to give birth (science fiction loophole). In fact, with such a small number of colonists why risk some dying in childbirth?
