  1. I’ve watched Isaac’s stripper a number of times just to make sure the stripper was getting all the dinosaur facts correct. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. In fact, I think I should do more fact checking right now.

You're welcome. I didn't take it for myself, because I'm the rulemaker and I shouldn't profit from it. 😉

Nor should you be penalized for being the rulemaker. I vote that either we all, including you, get it or none of us get it!

  3. This is an episode that suffers from taking place 50 years ago when it comes to Trixie and Matthew. Today, Matthew making decisions without Trixie’s input would be insufferable. In 1969, not so much. I can remember when I was working in the late ‘70s where one of the partners bought the family house without his wife ever seeing it. As a divorce lawyer, I was always amazed by how many women had no idea about any financial issues and that continued pretty much through the millennium. So this story line is realistic for the times, but hard to swallow under current sensibilities.

  4. I wonder if NBC had its own cameras at Montreal. Peacock shows the ISU World feed (with their wonderful commentators) and covers all competitors, but if NBC just uses the ISU cameras, they might not have had the time or the rights to edit the feed to show Adam's free skate (which took place a little over an hour before.) Even if they had their own cameras, they may not have been filming the Not Ready for Primetime skaters in the first two groups. At Nationals, the NBC camera crews usually don't even show up until the "name" skaters are scheduled.

Adam's free skate is why I always watch the earlier groups. There are often fantastic performances from little known skaters. They may never make it close to the medal podium, but there are some great innovators out there. It's well worth spending the money to watch them on Peacock.

I don't follow Donovan--did he have an injury? I think he's really improved the past three years

He had ankle surgery in December, 2022 and didn’t compete in Worlds last year.

Was not happy to see Eteri. Wish they banned coaches as well as the country.

  6. Very glad to see Donovan do so well. He’s had such a series of unfortunate events. I hope he’s able to stay around through the 2026 Olympics.

  7. Ouch! It looks as though Bratti/Somerville won't make the cut to the Free Dance. Still a lot of skaters, but they are pretty far down.

Green/Parsons are not in the Dance line up. Bratti/Somerville are the third pair. Was that the way that they were chosen, or are G/P injured?

The way that they were chosen. Green/Parsons were first alternates.

Jason and Camden are 4th and 5th! Not bad at all.

Jason is 4th but Camden is 17th. But Ilia is 3rd so excellent positions to get three spots for next year.
