  2. I doubt these are Eric Wallace's choices , remember he has a boss. I think this is a mandate from Greg Berlanti. Just like he mandated all the shows to have a Diggle appearance, in what turned out to be a pretty pointless arc and appearances. Berlanti thinks he can make up for Oliver's absence by using these characters. They literally had Chester fawning over Mia as if she was the Green Arrow he had heard about. She is a baby hero, with no history and barely an experience. Mia may have a Green Arrow costume, but she is not Oliver and KM is not Stephen. His accomplishments, reputation, experience, popularity are not hers. Trying to put Mia at Oliver/Original, Veteran Green Arrow's level or pretend that she can fill his shoes, backfires, she comes off looking inferior everytime. Letting Reverse Flash get away is beyond ridiculous at this point but at least bring back Matt Letscher , he is fun to watch and he is the true Eobard Thawne. The fans want Matt to come back as Eobard, enough with Tom and his whispery thing. They were never gonna kill the character since they need him for the show's final season. At least have Eobard/RF with his real face.
  3. This baiting got to stop, once again they did nothing with Ryan Choi and moving him closer to be Atom. Yes he was Atom in the future but they should have set the groundwork in the present. William is not found, despite Mia appearance. No point in watching crossovers if you wont do anything interesting in them.
  4. That I will agree with you on, I don’t know what the ….the show is doing stirring up a new mess with this new love triangle. They put a same sex ship in the centre of it again, and a black woman to be potentially discarded once again. Don’t they learn…Unpopular opinion but Kyle should have continued with Steph. Attaching him to Isobel feels like a way to give him something to do. They might have some sparks but what do they really have in common. Some people may be just too different to be together. A part of me like Kybel but another part is not sure they can work or that it’s worth discarding Anatsa and a W/W ship. On another note. Nice played show. I’m almost a foot out of this show as I feel it has diverged so much from the OG show (not a bad thing but as an OG fan I love connectivity) and I also feel S3 had problems not too different from season 2. Getting Shiri in the show might actually make me not leave completely.
  5. Don’t mean to be mean but I’m perfectly Okay with TB being left out. Eh, I don’t know what’s happening with him, I loved T.B in Pretty Little Liars as Caleb but in this show he looks out of it. Not sure if it’s his unenthusiasm or that his character is just written to be dull, or maybe it’s both. Maybe character/actor mismatch 🤔. I wish he would give some energy and presence in his performance. I used to have problems with Nathan Parson’s performance but he has greatly improved over the seasons, Michael Trevino too. So when will Tyler… Michael Vlamis is possibly the most energetic, driven, expressive performer on RNM, then you have TB/Alex as acting opposite him as love interest, it just makes Tyler’s , Tyler’s performances looks even worse. Also Michael (the character) has been made so powerful now, he is so involved in the show and has so much going on in his life. He makes interesting scenes with other multiple characters. I’m just gonna say my truth, Alex/Tyler are drag down on Michael ( both actor and character). So yes I feel happy when he isn’t as involved.
  6. its Disinterest and Criticism of the ship, then sure some hate. We don’t have to like them just because they are a popular ship hyped by fandom and the media. Some of us don’t feel there is convincing chemistry between Tyler and Michael V, especially when you compare their scenes with other characters. Are the characters compatible together?does the story make sense and well written? is there chemistry?. It’s like the show doesn’t care about any of that, their only goal seem to have a fan popular ship and get clout for lgbt rep. Just seem standards and expectations are lowered for malex. Good writing (and chemistry) not needed just utter the line cosmic, and it’s all sorted out. One other issue is the treatment of Maria over this ship, the show discarded her like she meant nothing to Michael. 2 seasons of waste. Alex is written to not give a care about Maria’s feelings going after Michael without talking to his so called best friend . And right there in Maria’s bar with his song and the malex kiss. But Maria was expected to consider Alex feelings putting hers in the back burner, and fandom accused her of being a bad friend. Different standards huh when it’s a black female character vs other a white male. Anyway, on another plot, the show should have introduced Dallas earlier in the season. If you are gonna shake up what the viewers know about the pod squad and triad, it needs to be a gradual process of development and getting to know this new important character.
  7. Im officially confused whether Kyle is saved or not, no one is dying anymore? Its still Kyle? its now someone else? Twists are fine, but the show needs not overdo it to a point where the audience cant trust anything anymore or start getting confused whats true and whats not. Im liking the season so far but yeah the show can be repetitive. Kyle is saved but apparently he is still in danger. Yet another episode that ends with Maria in peril. Its not even been that long. Eh, he seems to have good energy as usual to me, I think its that his character is just dealing with a lot of heavy and emotional stuff. And maybe the hair might be overgrowing a little lol.
  8. Yup. Its becoming a pattern where Maria plays martyr for everyone and never getting acknowledgement for saving them. No, oh thank you Maria. Hope with this vision story and the work she is doing, they will be some acknowledgment. Good the show is acknowledging that she been isolated and left out of things by her new great aunt and the others, but that actually has to change moving forward. Not just said and then the pod squad just keeps the status quo.
  9. Feels like a Recycle and Repeat, from the same damn things they did last season. Max is dying again, will need a cure/surgery again . Liz is out of town and got a new scientist boyfriend. Maria has visions of someone in trouble and she is stubbornly killing her brain and herself. Alex is out of town on military business and back again home. This show seem not to care about the quality or logic of its writing, I guess as long as they will get the applause for LGBT representation with Michael/Alex, they have done their job well. So they retcon and pretend the last two seasons didnt happen, a throwaway line of "somethings are not meant to be" is what they reduce the Michael and Maria's 2 year romance to. They throw Maria to the wolves by having her trash talk Michael, knowing the fandom will use this to demonize her and validate them further that she was a terrible person all along. Forrest is quickly put on a bus, it wasnt even exclusive. They also put Steph on a bus, they cant bother to follow up on a story they started and pay it off well. Its delete and erase, whenever they feel uncomfortable. They dont care about the optics of putting Maria with a Alex's brother after what happened in 2.06 and her past feelings of Alex, so now she seems like a person who sleeps with brothers. And likes to chase people close to Alex, because she "couldnt have him". Michael shows no respect to his past relationship with Maria by quickly wanting to jump back to Alex, also at the same time disrespecting Forrest and Alex who are in a relationship. Why would he be hopeful for him and Alex, when the last time he saw Alex he was just getting with Forrest. Betting for someone's relationship to fail and continuously saying "its their time", is not a good look for Michael. Good writing be damned, all that seems to matter is the accolades and praises the show will get for having a main gay relationship. They dont even care to write the M/M ship well and Im not convinced they even did a chemistry test before casting Blackburn and Vlamis. Max and Liz are an insufferable pairing as well in their own way, they got their own toxicity. You just know no matter what terrible things Max does to Liz, or the continuous running away and breaking up, it will never end because of book canon and OG show. They just have to end up together, no matter how much toxic its gets over the years. I could be interested in the Deep Sky storyline, but with the way this show pays off storylines, Im skeptical if they will even do it well or lead to something significant.
  10. So its one event, one story? Is that what he is saying?
  11. By premise what do you mean? because they seem to be keeping the basics.. " A trio of female characters gets superpowers and fight crime in Townsville". I mean is there really much more to it than that? Well, with the characters being made adults and not kids, of course there will be adult themes/content in the CW version, no way they can have the same kind of fluffy show as the OG, Doesn't mean it cant be a light-hearted, colorful, fun, action show in tone. But of course, I dont know if, thats what they are planning.
  12. Make sense,, Powerpuff Girls is a pretty recognizable IP, its likely to sell well in streaming and International. And its good for CW to look beyond DCTV for their future, the franchise cant and wont last forever.
  13. Well I did like the finale, though Im not sure I want to carry on with the show moving forward. The cast is too huge, they keep adding more and more characters. Core relationships/friendships are neglected. The so called Liz/Maria/Alex friendship does not exist. Maria and Rosa barely had scenes this season, yet they made a big deal about them being close before she died. I forget Kyle and Rosa were brother and sister until this episode. Flint and Helena were underwhelming as season villains, just like Jesse Manes was. Michael has really become a despicable and trashy character, making love confessions for Maria and a few minutes later wanting to get back with Alex. Apparently his relationship with Maria all season long and last season meant nothing to him. And Alex making a play for Maria's boyfriend right in her bar, who need a so called best friend like that, he will gladly step over Maria for his own selfish desires. M/A are both trash. So the show is just gonna start a new love triangle, spend some time on Alex/Forrest for it to end up be utterly meaningless. Tripp/Nora, that I can believe is cosmic. Love the chemistry, so effortless. Kyle and Steph were sweet, and im glad Liz saved Steph. Liz deserve to be away from the trashy, ungrateful aliens and have some peace in California. Agree about that, they are written to be self righteous, selfish and controlling. The way they act is like they are superior and they don't care about humans. Im not saying I dont see the problems with what Liz did, but I just find the pod squad to be rigid and uncompromising, making demands and never listening to what the human has to say.
  14. After Noah, now its Flint, Helena, Diego...for a show that aims to be so woke, dont know how they are not seeing the optics of their choices. They have the solution right there, Michael with Maria, Alex with Forrest. But is Carina gonna be smart and take it..., with her own bias for Michael/Alex and Im sure she loves the attention she get from the massive Malex fandom . The love triangle really should die moving forward, its assassinating the character of Michael and making him so unlikable to me [he has other personal failings too]. His yo yoing between Alex and Maria is just immature, annoying and tiresome now. Also playing into bisexual stereotypes. Michael is not 100 % into Alex either if he is going to be going back and forth between him and Alex, cant commit nor chose one of them. He seem to be written to enjoy the thrill of the chase, then lose interest when he has that thing, and now wants the other thing. Im about done with this Michael Guerin, all the 3 aliens in fact. They are really written to be so egotistical and have a superiority complex. Max trying to kill Flint, what the hell was that and Isobel has been violating people's consent all season, she is a survivor of that, she should know better.
  15. Well some of you called it,...so Maria is related to Isabel, and also Roy Bronson. I was beginning to think that was out of the window when he was killed off in other episode, so glad he is a her ancestor. I like him and Gauis Charles is a cutie. I totally saw some of the seed being sown to connect Maria and Isabel, some people in fandom thought it was romantic and were beggining to ship the Maribel, oops, the show torpedoed that fast. Always thought they had an interesting dynamic and chemistry in a kindred spirits sort of way, so I glad to see they are related and their relationship/connection will grow even stronger. And whoa, so Max and Isabel are not related by blood and he is not Louise's Bio son, that going has to rock both their world going forward. Still family though, that wont change. I guess I like some of these new changes, that makes the new Roswell curve its own path from the OG Roswell, if everything was the same beat by beat it would be boring to me . Thats adds a new interesting layer to Max too [they been doing right by him a lot this season], so who is he and who are his Bio parents....
  16. https://nationeditions.com/the-cws-kung-fu-first-poster-released-for-the-reboot-series/ CW released Kung Fu First Poster. Showbiz must go on, I guess. I agree, but unfortunately I already seen some content creators exploiting this crisis, while we are still in the eye of this storm. I have seen music videos, shows in their current season, not to mention the amount of movies potentially being plotted on this subject. Such is the state of humanity.
  17. Which Carina and this show would have no problem lifting off, if they want it lol.
  18. Now Im actually considering it,maybe she died on that operating table Kyle saw her on, but before that she was alive... I wonder what would be the point/purpose though, if she turns out be a ghost. How would that connect with the alien premise of the show? Only thing I can think of is maybe she has a family history of being experimented on by the government, which caused health issues.,,just maybe They need to reveal whats the mystery with her character soon.
  19. I like this show and think its its only worthy show to watch on the CW these days, Its the only one I watch from there, anyway. But its starting to show some cracks, has been for a while actually. Like pointed out by others , Rosa's story is a detour to the main plot. I like her, Jenna Cameron too but their stories seem to get too much time, for characters that are supposed to be guest stars/recurring. On top of that, they add Jenna's sister, Charlie. Just what the show needs, more people with their own little plots.... The show established in season 1 that Rosa and Maria where very close but when Rosa comes back, Maria barely is given time to interact with her. This is the person whose grave she has been going to for the past 10 years, every month. The show is dropping the ball also on Maria's friendship with Liz. Maria is dealing with her new powers, just found out unsettling new information on her family but Liz is nowhere to be found for support. Liz and Alex barely interact either. They feel like lip serviced relationships. I was thrown off by the Alex is back in the closet plot, just doesnt seem to track with where his character is now. He has been established as accepting of himself and unashamed about being gay. Just seems like they have rewinded his journey for some drama. The episodic cliffhangers aren't as suspenseful and game-changing as they used to be anymore, where are the stakes, who is the big bad this season...8 episodes in and im not really sure what anything is leading to. The show is still more good than bad, I just hope these cracks dont get bigger leading to a show that becomes unwatchable. They need to work on maintaining internal logic and canon consistences.
  20. I for one liked Steph in this episode. Felt like her and Kyle finally showed some chemistry in that kiss scene. They were playful and finally admitted they are attracted to each other. Kyle is no longer alone, cool. I'm interesting to see where it will goes from here, and finding out more who Steph is. Interesting new stuff about Maria's background, now we know how she got her "powers". Ok, with this, wasnt too fond of the half alien theory.
