  1. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard as I did at "my knees!" and Harry falling down. The first time was so unexpected, and the repetitions equally giggly.
  2. My next door neighbour is from Taiwan, and she makes these all the time. Just shows up randomly with a little box of pineapple cakes every once in a while. We all love them.
  3. I would love to comment on this, but so far I am striking out at finding anywhere to stream it in Canada. I can't even get an answer from anyone at CTV on if they ever will carry it. They've had all the other seasons on CTV Comedy, but so far nothing on this one.
  4. Yeah, I've emailed the CTV pr people several times asking if they will be carrying it, and no one seems to be bothered enough to answer me. It sucks.
  5. Why isn't this on CTV Comedy? They were advertising it last December, and were going to air it in January, but not now? I was really looking forward to this, and am so disappointed I can't find it anywhere.
  6. Man, if Rosalind becomes the Pelant of The Rookie, I may have to stop watching. I missed several seasons of Bones because of that story line.
  7. Holy crap! My husband and I just looked at each other and shuddered.
  8. Well, they almost lost me at blowing snot out of the nose. I could have done without that.
  9. Yeah, I looked at him and thought, what the hell happened to him? He looks like a plasticine version of himself.
  10. I don't find the service issues that weird. At my mother in laws ranch, you can't make a phone call from her house, but go outside and stand by a tree near the shop, and bang, you got service. And just randomly inside the house, you will get a text. Walk a half km up the driveway to my brother in laws house and bingo, you've got service again.
  11. My family hunted deer, and while my dad and all gutted the deer, it was never skinned until they'd brought it home and hung it in the shed. Also, I think that it was a cougar going by the woman's camp. They do have 5 toes on their front paws, and the drag mark is usually from their tail. They have very long tails. Although, I don't know if cougars are up that far north.
  12. It was from the woman from Echo Bay's intro video. She was talking about living off the land, and not being afraid of predators. I assumed that the cougar she was stroking was one she had killed.
  13. All I can think is that this winter was so cold, and parts of the prairies got into the -50's (Celcius), that I can't see them staying out terribly long.
  14. Nope, don't fiddle with someone's cooking, and don't wear your shoes in their house if they ask you not to. Or, don't wear shoes inside houses, that's gross. I really don't understand why people do that.
  15. Well, I figured it out last week after I watched the promo. It was pretty obvious.
  16. Dammit Randy. That shelter gave me all sorts of hope that he would go far. I was more skeptical of Larry , Sam and Dave's shelters, and figured they'd be gone before Randy. I guess that Britt is the one now. I'm kind of hoping that Larry gets eaten by a bear, just so he'll shut up.
  17. My husband and I both hated that Angie and Shade were so gullible about this stuff. This show completely ruined their characters. They are way more competent, and this show just made them seem so crappy at their jobs. They are way better judges of character than this. My husband and I were skeptical from the first time that the woman started her spiel. And then when the guy showed up about the puck, and wouldn't go to the police, I was even more skeptical. I am very unhappy with how they ended the season.
  18. I'm enjoying it. I was very disappointed about Carleigh having to leave, but overall, I like the season.
  19. I'm trying to watch this on cbs, as it doesn't seem to be on a Canadian channel tonight, and there is no sound. Anyone want to let me in on what this episode is about?
  20. April Wine! Don't know if it's been on TV before, but I thought it was a great song to use. Also, why did they have to smush her head? Wouldn't shooting her in the head do just as good a job? With less mess?
  21. I liked the singing a lot, wish we could have heard more. Although, we did get to hear it over the end credits. The blonde goat yoga woman is incredibly defensive and mean. The other one seems a bit weepy, but her "friend" is a bitch. I like the classical music guys, just because of their job. No one really stands out except the bitchy goat yoga woman. May need another show or two before I can remember who they all are, and who goes with who. But it was a good start to the season.
  22. Aw, I'm going to miss my eye candy. Zed can take his shirt off around me any time. And Shabbir was just cool, I wish he was my dad.

    S04.E07: Hooked

I'm having a hard time getting into the show this season. My husband recently started working afternoons, so we don't get to watch the show live, and it sometimes takes a few days to get to. I find the brothers irritating, so I just laughed my head off when the one hooked himself. I also find myself waiting for the next bad thing to happen to them with some anticipatory glee. I don't feel bad about it either. I would like Brooke and Dave to win, but I don't know if she's gonna slow down and coast now, or if she'll burn herself out. Sam seems sweet, but a little out of his element. Pete is what every dad should be like, but unfortunately, aren't. I miss the Island. And right now, with all the smoke and the middle of the province on fire, I miss the rain.
  24. Why wasn't this episode called "Hairy Pottery"! That was hilarious. I can't believe that the cousins switched twice, and didn't use the express pass.
  25. Unless you are really accurate and have a spear or aboomerang, chucking a stick at a grouse really isn't going to do much. A slingshot or bow and arrow would be better, or one of those things with the balls on either end, connected with a line. A bolo? Anyway, hope they eventually catch one, grouse are tasty. I think I ate more grouse than chicken for a few years. I used to take great pleasure in eating them after they had scared the crap out of me by exploding up in the air out of a bush. All you see are wings and feathers as they fly up in front of your face. I really prefer a cooked grouse to a live grouse.
