  1. Except, prior to Cristina being nominated in season 10 and Meredith winning I forget when, none of the doctors on the show were nominated or won. Burke won when he was already off the show and Cristina saw it posted on the hospital bulletin board. At no point during the show's great run (emphasis on great) did any of the doctors who could have deserved it, got it. Not even Derek. Not Callie with her artificial cartilage. Not Addison or Mark or anyone else who was a medical titan. For a long time, the Harper Avery was treated as coveted and something for the doctors to strive for. Cristina being nominated was deserved, her being penalized because Catherine owned part of the hospital was bullshit, and now the award and its nominations are handed out like a participation trophy. YMMV
  2. I guess the Catherine Fox award is less prestigious and a lot easier to get a nomination for than the Harper Avery (I know it's the same thing, just renamed 🙄) because there have been doctors on this show that have done far better and more innovative surgeries and research, but Nick and Winston get nominations for…I don't even remember what. This show has become a joke.
  3. I do think groups larger than two have a big advantage because harmonies make a performance sound better and it could be easier to cover up a missed note. California Roll was just too good. Maybe the judges wanted a fair fight in the finale?
  4. Jennifer is right: Margaret is nervous because she doesn't know what and how much her ex-friend Laura told Teresa and Jen. Margaret and Laura were friends for 40 years, and because Laura wasn't associated with RHONJ, surely Marge leaned on her as a venting/sounding board. It's why Margaret is quick to get mad and attack Danielle and Jennifer because she knows that they know something that Margaret had in her arsenal about her "friends". Marge can dish it but she can't take it.
  5. Oh, I see... Willow's request for Nina to make peace with Carly is a setup for when it's revealed that Nina reported Carly and Drew for their crime therefore Willow can throw this in Nina's face. (never mind Carly and Drew taking any accountability for breaking the law) I'm sick of St. Carly always getting away with being a complete bitch and the gaslighting that it's everyone else who is the problem. I wish Nina was a match for Willow so that these assholes would have to be nice to her and grateful for her to help save Willow's pathetic life.
  6. I wonder what the reasoning was behind airing most of this season's episodes out of order? I could actually get behind Lexi and Edward getting together. An unexpected pairing, but I liked their interaction in tonight's episode and I think they'd make a fun an interesting couple. But of course the show is pushing for Nell and Edward because why be original? Here's hoping for a season 2…that airs in order. lol
  7. This better not be circling around to Michelle wanting to get back together with Ted in the end. Nearly three seasons of Ted moping over her and the divorce...Ted needs to move on from it, not be sucked back in. Fuck off, Nate. I do not care. He's an absolute asshole and did assholey things, has made no apologies, and now I'm supposed to be charmed seeing his little love story play out? No, thank you. Hate what they've reduced Keeley to this season. There are four episodes left, it's not a lot of time to get to the things needing to be get to (*cough* Roy and Keeley). I don't understand how these episodes are twice as long but nothing seems to really be happening, other than the build up to Richmond's (hopeful? ultimate!) success. Aside from moments here and there, it's mostly felt like filler.
  8. She comes from the Joe & Melissa Gorga school of "fuck family, anything for a storyline!" Speaking of Melissa, she couldn't have been more of a pill at Teresa's party if she tried. She is not a victim of anything but her own unhappiness. If Frank wanted his family of four with Dolores, he shouldn't have cheated on her in the first place. He just doesn't want to lose his "house husband" spot. He's allowed to have a girlfriend (or girlfriends), but Dolores isn't allowed to be happy? He needs to get a life. His own life.
  9. You just know these women went into the show being self-produced. Nothing is going to be genuine. The Housewives franchise has been around for over a decade, and anyone who knows anything about HW's knows what the formula is and knows what is expected to make "good" tv and get people talking (or complaining) on social media. Be on the lookout for manufactured soundbites and reactions in the hopes they turn into a popular Housewives catch-phrase or gif. The beauty about real RHONY was that those women (prior to season 11), for better and for worse, were themselves. Messy and hilariously so. And perhaps because they were more mature and not young(er) wannabe influencers, they just moved different. I just still don't understand why out of all of the franchises, RHONY got a total reboot. Not even Miami got a full reboot after being off air for 8 years - five of the original women came back and they added four new. All RHONY had to do was get rid of two people, instead they scrapped the whole thing. IMO, ageism played a big part in it. The average age of RHONY was older than the rest. Yet the RHONY women were a lot more fun than the rest of the franchises who are more catty and hold grudges to the point of viewer exhaustion.
  10. I loved the Sportsman, and I'm so happy that Tully found her match with him. And though we didn't see Danny at all in the timeline for Marah's wedding (at least I don't recall seeing him?), we did hear him knock on the door and call out "Tallulah Rose" after Tully's fantasy of talking to Kate. I always loved when he called Tully that. I only wish we got to see Tully and Danny get married. For goodness sakes, we saw damn near everything of Kate and Johnny, it would've been great to see Tully reach that milestone after all she's been through.
  11. Only time will tell (but fingers crossed!). I've seen multiple people say that Teresa has stated she is done with the Gorgas, and if that means not interacting or wanting to be around them, then what storyline will Joe and Melissa have moving forward? At this point, continuing to complain about Teresa is not only tiresome, but will be moot if there is no interaction. And how would filming group outings work? It is sad for the siblings, especially since their parents have passed. But if Teresa and Joe's family dynamic isn't getting better - and, quite honestly, it seems worse than ever - then at the very least a break is warranted. And the producers aren't going to pick them over Teresa, so the only other option is putting the Gorgas on ice. Or Andy and Bravo will continue to milk the exhausting and repetitive drama, much to viewers dismay.
  12. I can definitely see Nell with James. Great romantic/sexual chemistry. But until she's ready, and even though he's already gone, he is a journalist so maybe there is potential for him to come back. Just not Edward. Please. I love that Dennis got some camera time.
  13. I hate myself for saying this, but the trailer looks good. But I'm not fooled! MPK is still at the helm and Che Diaz is still on the show. It's good to see more of the new ladies in the mix. And Aiden. Miss my buddy Steve, hope he's off living his very best life.
  14. Teresa wanted her brother, Joe, to be in her wedding. He said no. Teresa wanted her godson, Gino, to be in her wedding. His parents (Joe and Melissa) said no. Teresa eventually asked Melissa to be in the wedding - her way of extending an olive branch. Melissa said no. This is Teresa's wedding. She can have whoever she wants in it, she can have whoever she wants on the guest list. Joe and Melissa chose not to be a part of it and they ultimately chose not to attend. How are they blaming Teresa for their own choices? It's insane. In happier news, Paulie's mom is adorable. Dolores' arms and booty (though the latter may have been surgically enhanced?) are enviable.
  15. I really enjoy Nina and Sonny together. Carly is so exhausting and her Mary Sue treatment on this show is beyond frustrating. Tracy wins the episode for keeping her foot on Carly's neck. At least someone in that house remembers what a terror Carly really is. Olivia is annoying, time to bring back Lois!
  16. Jill was fighting for her worth. It didn't work out for her, but it's not like she was asking for the world. They were paying Kelly Bensimon more than Jill, which is ridiculous. Jill has a much bigger Housewives resume than Kelly does. People like to shit on Jill for being "thirsty" for wanting to be back on Housewives, when in actuality they're all thirsty or else they wouldn't be participating on the show in the first place.
  17. Midge couldn't even muster the energy to put on a good performance for her kids in the audience. She's really hard to root for. And a show with a lead that's hard to root for is hard to watch.* *this doesn't include shows who's themes and leads are meant to be deplorable, at least we know that is by design. But I get the feeling the Palladinos want us to be on Midge's side.
  18. They should've sent the season 2 Ex-Housewives to Phuket. That season would've been so much better had it not taken place on Dorinda's home turf. We could've seen those ladies really let loose and no one would've felt forced to take Dorinda's shit because she was their unhinged host. This season is proof positive that while it's a fun idea to get Housewives from other franchises together for a trip, the cast is important. Not everyone is good outside of their Housewives city (and some are not good at all - Leah!).
  19. Amelia is exhausting. As if she hasn't abandoned people before... like her sweet fiance James from Private Practice. She ditched him to move to Seattle. Or Link, the father of her son and the best relationship she's had on Grey's Anatomy. Amelia would have her little family right now if she had better discernment. Here "sisters" didn't abandon her, they are a phone call or plane ride away. And she should be thankful that Kai is out of the picture, that relationship was doomed from the start (and boring. so boring.). It's always good to see Addison. I had to laugh when Cristina Yang's name popped up. It's so random, but a nice gesture from her. The memory of what great characters this show used to have just makes the current landscape that much more depressing.
  20. Well season 4 is up next with the Brandi vs Caroline assault saga, but word on the street is that they're aiming to do a RHUGT with OG RHONY ladies. Now that will be fun. Chaotic, but fun! I'm not sad to see this season end. It wasn't a well-cast group. YMMV, but without Porsha it would've been unbearable. Also, Bravo/Peacock needs to never ever ever, ever ever, ever invite Leah to be part of anything Housewives related ever again. Stop trying to make her happen.
  21. I think the fact that people are questioning whether or not Rebecca slept with Boat Boy shows how poorly conceived Rebecca's random rom-com and Boat Boy's comment at the end was. And the more I think about it, the more annoyed I get at Jason and the writers room (mostly full of men, no doubt) who would think a woman who loses her phone would put herself in that vulnerable position with a man who is a complete stranger for an afternoon/night, and all that time they don't even exchange names. Usually, the Hallmark trope is that the person is stranded. Rebecca wasn't stranded, she was in a city and not far from her hotel that she walked from. It was just trite, and it kind of made Rebecca, a normally intelligent woman, look foolish. Which I guess tracks with Keeley who somehow has been dumbed down this season with not knowing a thing about her own PR firm. She couldn't take a six week holiday with boyfriend Roy because she wanted to focus on starting her business, but what did she do in all that time? Pick out office decoration?! It's like our lovable male characters get nuanced if not a little kooky development, and the whopping two female leads of the show get trite tropes. Just my opinion, of course.
  22. This episode sealed for me that I do not want Nell and Edward to become a romantic pair. They are giving more bickering sibling vibes. The guest stars as the ghosts continue to shine on this show. Really good casting.
  23. I'm glad Janine and Gregory told each other how they feel, and are on the same page that when they get together, it will be something real. However, I just know Janine is going to come back from summer break wanting to be with Gregory and he is going to have moved on (his "it's time to plant something new" comment). I get that the show doesn't want to pair them up too soon, but there are only so many obstacles before it becomes grating. The rest of the characters were on point as always. Another successfully entertaining season in the books!
  24. This. Rebecca is a smart woman, a boss bitch, and yet she willingly goes to the home of a complete stranger of a man and takes a shower, hangs out, then sleeps over. In this climate? Not at all smart or safe. She could've gotten a towel from Mr. Dutch to dry off/keep warm, used his phone to call for transportation back to her hotel, and be on her merry way. And from there maybe they meet for coffee or something. This meet-cute was so forced in a worse-than-Hallmark way (because even a Hallmark movie has some exposition and build up) that it was hard to enjoy. And don't get me started on Keeley... Needless to say, I'm so far disappointed in the stories for the women this season. YMMV However, the night was delightful for the guys. Higgins slapping the (jazz) base, Jamie teaching Roy how to ride a bike, the team pillow fight, Trent and Colin, Ted at the American restaurant (please tell me that's not for real! lol), Van Gogh!
