  1. Those are great! I particularly like the Númenor art especially this one Presumably the statue is Elros and the star in his hand would be the Star of Eärendil.
  2. How many more times are they going to re-title this show? Don't get me wrong I'm still excited to watch it, but it's starting to feel like Marvel are a little nervous about the show.
  3. If anyone's curious about the caterpillar cake it's based on Colin the caterpillar. I haven't had one since I was a kid and I've never met a kid who didn't like Colin. In my neck of the woods it was normally the birthday boy/girl who got the slice with the white chocolate face 😛
  4. I loved this so I thought I'd share it here. John Rhys-Davies recites the Song of Durin.
  5. Alison comes from the city of Birmingham, which is in the West Midlands region in England.
  6. One of the things I liked most about Michael Gambon was that as well as being an incredible actor, he had a bit of life about him. So many of the people who worked with him had amusing anecdotes to share, but something from a blooper reel came across my social media feed last night that I hadn’t seen in years and it really made me laugh.
  7. They are supposedly going back to baking basics this year and so far so good. Even the 3D animal showstopper challenge wasn't too outlandish compared to previous years, so here's hoping that it lasts! I too liked Allison, she seems to have struck the right balance of interacting with the bakers and putting them at ease without getting under their feet or annoying them. As for Paul, he was almost reminiscent of Paul from the early years of the show before he really leaned into the humorless stick-in-the-mud role.
  8. Today was Sinéad's funeral and her hometown of Bray showed up for her.
  9. Mia made a strong start with the pattern challenge, but I agree Asmaa looked like the winner for most of the episode (most of the series really). I really liked the 3 finalists and enjoyed watching Mia and Tony progress throughout the show. But I must say it was so satisfying watching Asmaa's final dress transform. It was like visual ASMR!
  10. I was just listening to I Do Not Want What I Haven’t Got over the weekend, she really did have the soul of a poet; a true artist. She was so devastated by her son Shane's death I think she went to some dark places afterwards. I remember feeling devastated for her after reading that. Bless you Sinead.
  11. No sign of one yet in other pics but I’d bet a large sum of money he’ll wear it. That will probably be filmed on a soundstage though. I really can’t get over it, it’s actually happening! 😁
  12. I never thought I'd see the day! Who would've guessed in 2000 when we got this that we'd ever see him in the suit. All it took was a mere 23 years! 😁
  13. It’s such a shame about Lizzie, she really seemed to be on a roll I thought she was a cert for the final. After a couple of quiet weeks Asmaa came back with a stunning made to measure, it was gorgeous!
  14. Forever my George Emerson, rest in peace Julian Sands.
  15. Episode 5: Art Week I don't feel I can comment on the theme this week, since I've never cared for the surrealism movement which has always left me feeling completely bemused. I will say it was nice to see Mia and Lizzie continue to do well from last week, Lauren and Fauve are are also doing some very nice work. Those four plus Asmaa are looking the strongest IMO.
