  1. I'm hoping that this will lead to the sheriff getting arrested for taking bribes, but I don't know if they have any evidence against him.
  2. Did the stripper say he was working his way through grad school? I'm still wondering why he knew so much about dinosaurs. When Jenkins was giving Nigel a lap dance it looked like there were some special effects going on so that they were interpenetrating (get your minds out of the gutter!). Did anyone else notice this?
  3. The conversation between Georgie and Mandy in the car had me thinking that they should be honeymooning in the Bahamas so they can get a quicky divorce before they come home. I loved the friendly female cop wanting to keep CeeCee at the station. I'm surprised they let Connie get her stuff without an escort, since she is a flight risk.
  4. I like that, since Memaw's yard is right across the street. If they can get a double wide, it might fit on the existing pad. Or they could get an Airstream and travel around the country solving crimes. I might watch a spinoff about that.
  5. I was thinking Carol was nowhere near as evil as Elias. Which made me wonder if some of these characters are stuck on the cusp of good and evil. Isaac - killed Nigel Trevor - profit is the only goal Hetty - many worker deaths Thorfinn - pushed old people off of cliffs Flower - bank robber, fed the bears I can't think of anything for the others.
  6. That is my opinion (YMMV). That was the only actress I could think of on short notice that appeared to be attracted to Sheldon (again YMMV). Sheldon wasn't attracted to any female characters besides Amy, and Leonard's mom (also brilliant), as far as I recall.
  7. I suspect Sheldon considers Amy hot because of her huge intellect. When Riki Lindhome was on the show he did not appear to be attracted to her in the slightest (and yes, she was being creepy, but that was lost on him also). He doesn't react to women the way most men do.
  8. Jeremy in shorts when everyone else was in coats cracked me up. He may be a quitter, but he's not a quitter! Carol speculation below, just in case I'm right.
  9. I liked the similarity between CeeCee getting baptized and Sheldon's computer getting upgraded. I wonder if Sheldon would have been able to sympathize with the baptism objections otherwise, since he considers religion to be meaningless. Sheldon removing and replacing Georgie's baptism was cute. "Put it back!". I guess Georgie does believe.
  10. I thought it was odd that Nancy was licking Pete's ear, since Carol couldn't see what Nancy was doing. I guess she is a "method ghost" (like a method actor). Will Carol have an affair with Thor? Will Alberta fall in love with Pete? (I hope not)
  11. George's concern over the $50 donation to the televangelist made me wonder how much she donates to the physical church. $12.50 a week would be a rough equivalent to $50 a month. Mandy's guide to establishing "make out areas" was gold. "You want to keep them vertical", or words to that effect.
  12. This would be cool if he said the alien was named Ozmodiar (from the Simpsons).
  13. An answer form the Library of Congress of all places! I always pronounced it 'Sammich'. This would probably cover Thor's lifetime. "Yet, the Halloween holiday has its roots in the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (a Gaelic word pronounced “SAH-win”), a pagan religious celebration to welcome the harvest at the end of summer, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts." https://blogs.loc.gov/headlinesandheroes/2021/10/the-origins-of-halloween-traditions/
  14. I'm curious to see how Pete reacts when he discovers that Carol died from choking on a doughnut hole. Will Jay be bullied into making a doughnut hole and a doughnut from the same batter (do they even have a deep fryer)? If Carol agrees that they are the same, will Pete get sucked off? Crash's head was stuck in a tree for a long time and he didn't go mad. If they just drop a ladder into the well, Flower should be able to climb out.
  15. It bugged me that Sheldon didn't make himself earplugs out of tissue. He should be able to design plugs that would reduce that high frequency squalling to acceptable levels. Likewise, he should have 'tattled' to the RA when he found someone in his room. Cheat codes are created to help testers get to the part of the game that needs to be tested without having to fight their way through everything before that. If you can't play without cheat codes, you have no skillz.
  16. This is oddly apt: "I spend £8,500 a year to live on a train" https://metro.co.uk/2024/03/03/spend-8-500-a-year-live-a-train-20388001/
  17. Looks like you would have to rent the kitchen and possibly a place to eat (Although Prince often entertained guests in his kitchen). I hope he isn't stuck in the elevator where he died. "Are we gonna let the elevator bring us down?" Let's Go Crazy - Prince Rogers Nelson https://www.paisleypark.com/faq#space-rental
  18. I think it had his 'Texas' accent, but the words were clear and sounded natural. Does anyone fluent in German have an assessment? Yeah, as long as he doesn't have George for gym or football he should be OK. I think the characters are moving towards their BBT personas (big YMMV). Mary is loosening-up and learning to manipulate Sheldon, "I let him get away with it. It's killing him!" Absence making George and Mary's hearts fonder was nice. Sheldon could probably convince Mary to take a day trip by train to some museum, but that wouldn't be his first choice. I wonder if anything will be missing from his backpack?
  19. Wow. I got to the part where Jay says, "Wait, Let's gaslight my sister until she busts us and then decides she likes the gesture whats-his-architect made when he lied to her (or something like that), and then couldn't watch any more. Are we sure they aren't using AI?
  20. I took this as Missy working through the trauma of cowering in a ditch. We all process epiphany in different ways. She decided to be 'good', which is her image of her mother, but then reality faded in as her patience and dedication ran thin (as befits most teenagers), so she decided to be better and manage the others instead of completely supporting them. And we all know George just tends to "go with the flow" and might be a tiny bit lazy (except for football). Sheldon has mostly been hampered by schooling far below his ability to learn. His mentors have high IQs, but they seem to lack any creative spark. Real genius requires both. This comeuppance will be good for him, but his grandiosity is just part of his core self, so I think he is incapable of being humbled.
  21. Except that Leonard, Raj, and Howard would have died in the explosion that Sheldon moved to the elevator. BBT would have just been Penny riding a working elevator.
  22. I would like to see a "visitation" from an un-stoned Flower to see what she was like and tie up some loose ends. Other than that wouldn't mind this being only a dream that Stephanie is having, or however the writers decide to go forward. I liked Flower's non sequiturs, but I could live without them.
  23. If you were raised on Coors or PBR most German beers would be a transcendent experience. She may have had a second glass. (full disclosure, I've never tasted Lone Star Beer)
  24. I enjoyed the jokes and deplored the behavior, so it was business as usual. I was thinking that Missy has always been "the practical one" while Sheldon was "the smart one", so she's been practicing for this all her life. "Who put you in charge?" (EVERYONE RAISES HANDS)🤣
  25. This has been mostly covered, but I wanted to include this real-life example from the unreal life of J. Robert Oppenheimer (from Wikipedia). Dr. Oppenheimer was actually socially adept (not awkward like Sheldon). "Oppenheimer attended Harvard University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry in 1925. He studied physics at the University of Cambridge and University of Göttingen, where he received his PhD in 1927." (sound familiar?) A Harvard they told him he needed to graduate because he had amassed 5 years worth of credits and was just taking whatever classes interested him (mostly math, physics, chemistry, and oriental philosophy). He looked through the catalog (alphabetically) and the first degree for which he qualified, was in the chemistry section. If Page has no friends, she must be pushing people away. I just talked to the random people around me, and I was 27 (on the GI bill), ragged and shaggy when everyone else was groomed for success (in the early eighties), always sat in front, and answered way too many of the teachers' questions. I still made friends! Page looks far more approachable than I ever did.
