As far a work ethic goes I wouldn't compare Rayna to Rocky. Rayna  is more like Riley. Both did a good job as far as work goes and they were complimented on how they did their jobs. Both had real anger issues and Riley especially could not control her temper and mouth. No one want to work with people who are angry and volatile. Rayna had a reason to be angry with Heather. But instead of taking it up with Eddie and Captain Lee and let management decide what to do about Heather she couldn't let it go and she in my opinion made Heather the sympathtic one in the end.

One question did Eddie tell Captain Lee exactly why Rayna was upset?  Captain Lee started acting angry with Heather the last charter.  Either he knew what went on between Heather and Rayna and he was pretty pissed at Heather or he is just not into this show since Kate left.

And one morre thing. Heather is no Kate. She needs to mature a lot and lose her sense of self importance.

Eddie did tell Captain Lee what Rayna told him, which was not exactly the truth.  Heather did use the word but only after Rayna herself used it and Heather did not direct it toward Rayna or anyone else.  The way Rayna recounted it made it sound like Heather directed the word toward Rayna.

So no, in my book, Rayna had no reason to be angry with Heather.

Here I'll have to disagree. Rayna at least proved herself capable of knuckling down and doing adequate work, both on the deck and in the kitchen, even if it was with a bad attitude most of the time. And I didn't feel as if she needed to be kept separate from cutlery at all times for everyone's safety. That puts her way ahead of Rocky Dakota, who was incompetent at everything but swimming and flirting in addition to being poisonous on a personal level.

I respectfully disagree that Rayna proved herself, while rolling her eyes, bitching and moaning about Heather, pining for Jake and/or crying because Captain Lee and Eddie had the audacity to compliment her in a way she felt was insincere.

Rocky certainly had her own issues but being poisonous on a personal level is a perfect way to describe Rayna.  She said in one episode that people often thought of her as an angry black woman.  After watching this season, we certainly know why.

Rayna at least did a great job. Give her that.   She did her job and aided in the galley. Flying colors. Heather, on the other hand, was mostly scattered and her manners need help.  Fingers in the food, doing her gross hair in the kitchen and tonight even scooting her butt across the table.  She couldn't keep her  big mouth shut when Rachel kept calling for quiet.  She is just an attention Hoe.

Pretty obvious her new stew pal kept her distance during that fight and had nothing to say.  Seems llke she has witnessed Heathers act before.

Regardless of how great a job Rayna did, it was all overshadowed by her shit behavior.  Not just with Heather - getting upset over Heather using a word that Rayna used first, accepting both of Heather's apologies to her face and then bad talking her behind her back - but with everyone.  She was disrespectful to Eddie, disrespectful to Jake, disrespectful to Wes and disrespectful to Captain Lee.  She rolled her eyes, she had attitude with practically everything, and she bad talked coworkers behind their backs.  And practically swallowing Jake's mouth whole in the car ride to the dinner was gross.

She may be the most vile individual BD has ever cast, and that says a lot.  I hope never to see her on my tv again.

What kind of friends do these people have?  They all tell what’s wrong with the bride or groom.  Wth?  Even in jest, that’s not right.

And certainly not when you're first meeting the person.

I have to wonder if it's producer shenanigans.  Like maybe they were told to say something positive and then something more critical and the positive discussions were edited out.

I just saw when Alissa was talking to her bridesmaids, she was saying what she needed.  A good looking guy with nice teeth, then said “is there a dentist in the room?”  That was before meeting him.  Btw, he could always have his two front teeth straightened out.  No biggie, especially if you have a good guy there.  It will be hard to find a decent guy.  At the Alter, she asks him “ did you see my shoes”?  Who gives a shit about her boots.  I hope she smells like horse from her pores, lol.

So true.  My ex was an incredibly handsome, good-looking man.  And he verbally and emotionally abused me.  Looks only go so far and a kind, decent, and funny person is much better.

I understand not being overwhelmed with attraction at first sight, but Alyssa signed up for this show.  She should have at least acted like a human being with a functioning heart.  She should get to know Chris and give him a chance.  NOT leave him sitting on a bench in the hallway while you go behind closed doors with production to complain about him and something he reportedly said.  Evil heifer.

Nothing.  She's going completely off what his groomsmen said about him and has decided he's unacceptable.  But we know it's really all about the fact that she's not attracted to him.  She's just looking for an excuse.

ETA:  Guess he said something about being her side-piece in the elevator and she was disgusted.  She has a stick up her ass.

I think Alyssa made her mind up as soon as she saw Chris at the altar.  She was very specific about what she hoped her groom would look like -- after crying over his thoughtful, lovely note.  (And unless they edited it out, Chris was the only groom who sent his bride anything before the wedding.)

I understand that we all have a type or types.  And sure, you want to immediately be attracted to your MAFS spouse at first sight -- but when you sign up you should realize that in all likelihood, you aren't going to be matched with what you consider your type.

Chris' groomsmen should have taken a page from Alyssa's bridesmaids, who surely know what a holy pain in the ass she is but were very courteous in talking about her to Chris.

Ha!  Right.  Is Alyssa the life of the party like Molly was seasons back?  Yeah, I can believe that Lindsay is the life of the party but not Alyssa.  Look at how she was at the bachelorette party.

And frankly, putting someone who is very outgoing and extroverted with someone who is reserved and introverted doesn't always work.

So, now let’s talk about the five million commercials.  I could have cooked ten dinners and made a cake in between.

Right?  I mentioned that in my first post.  I'm glad I'm not the only one who was annoyed.  I always wait at least half an hour to an hour before I start watching MAFS so I can fast-forward but I felt like all I was doing last night was fast-forwarding through commercials.

MAFS either needs to just go ahead and start the honeymoons or make the episode an hour.

  7. Did Chris' groomsmen actually meet Chris?  Because I don't get the impression he's a condescending jerk.  He seems very kind, thoughtful and gentle.  Alyssa on the other hand . . .  she's way too much into superficial things and all about looks.  Massive fail on the part of the "experts," as that should have been a big old red flag.  You know, like Lindsay seriously dating someone a year ago and Olajuan (I know that's misspelled, sorry) being a man-ho until COVID slowed him down.

I have to admit I got teary when Michael's sisters gave Jasmina the breast cancer awareness pin and told her that their mother would now be watching over her.  I hope those two can make it.  Their bedtime cuddle gives me hope.

I love Noi and Steve together.  They seem so perfect.  They were both so happy at their wedding and easygoing with each other - and very accepting of their new families.  I'm really rooting for them, along with Jasmina and Michael.

    Don't let me down, y'all.

I like Mark the Shark.  He seems like a nice guy.  Sweet that Lindsay's father and brother welcomed him into the family.  I worry that Lindsay is going to exhaust him before the week is out.  She's just too much.  I hope she calms down now the wedding is over (and the open bar is closed) but I fear she likes the camera too much.

Clearly Katina and O (can't spell it) are attracted to each other but I worry he's still very much a player.  That grinding at the wedding was trashy and unnecessary IMO.  Clearly Katina's mother thinks so too.

Which couple will do the deed on the wedding night?  Any of them?  Has any MAFS couple that consummated the marriage on the wedding night survived?

And just a note but if there hadn't been commercials every five damn minutes, this episode would have only been an hour long.  I guess MAFS wanted to stretch the weddings out as long as possible.  Bring on the honeymoons already!

I think if I were Heather I would be PO'd about the fact that no one came to me and asked me my side of the story, and that Rayna is still raising this issue every time Eddie asks her what's wrong, even though I apologized twice and Rayna said we were good.

This.  The cheese may stand alone but since the incident occurred while the crew was off duty and out, I don't think Eddie and/or Captain Lee should have gotten involved from go.  Rayna should have said something to Heather, which she did, and for which Heather apologized.  That should have been the end of it.

I hope this is addressed at the reunion, as well as the fact that Rayna said the word first and Heather was repeating what Rayna said.  I am not a fan of Heather's but I'm on her side in this particular case.

    • Love 15
  9. Rayna is the WORST.  She is bringing the morale and everything else down on the boat.  Does she need meds or something because other than the first episode, have we had a single one where she wasn't crying?   Eddie is her supervisor but he's not her therapist.  Neither is Captain Lee.   I hate the word that was used but let's remember that Rayna said it first (and apparently it was perfectly okay when she said it) and Heather repeated it and now somehow Heather is the bad person.

I thoroughly dislike Rayna and hope never to see her on my tv again after the reunion.

Fraser can go with her, since he's just as catty and neurotic as Rayna is angry and critical.

I don't care to see Jake again either.  I don't understand the fascination there is with him.

Honestly, this season has been a bust.   I've enjoyed seeing Rachel's food and would love to see more of the St. Kitts scenery but Andy & Co. seem to think we want to see Rayna bitch and moan every week about how she's not forgiven Heather.  I don't care.

Other than earache Melissa on the first night (who was an absolute pill), these guests were delightful.  So of course next week we'll have to endure guests that are terrors.

    • Love 15
  10. Rayna, maybe the reason you're called an angry and aggressive black woman is because you are, in fact, an angry and aggressive black woman.

With Jessica gone, Rayna appeared to have picked up the Eeyore crown, but added anger to it.  Enough already.   I'm not Heather's biggest fan but she's apologized twice, both apologies of which appear to have been sincere.  If you say you accept the apology(ies), accept and move on.  If not, say you're not and let everyone know for certain that you're a massive a-hole.

Am I the only one that doesn't get Jake?  Heather says if she didn't have a boyfriend, she'd be on him, Fraser is doing everything he can to take a ride and Rayna appears to have been doing the deed with him by the end of the episode.  I find him extremely unattractive and a complete fuck boy.  At least Fraser had some semblance of self-respect to back away when Rayna was throwing herself at Jake.  Ugh.

Rachel continues to be impressive this season (and I say this as someone who did not like her at all last season.)  She and Eddie are smart to not be drinking on the crew day off.

Glad the primary ended up having a good time - although the thought of blending/puree-ing/liquifying everything is pretty vomit inducing (hey, at least they traveled with wire cutters.)

I guess Heather's former co-worker (Kaylee?) will be Jessica's replacement.  Wonder if she will cause some kind of friction with Heather and Fraser?  In the previews, Fraser didn't seem too pleased over having her join them.  How long before she too is running after Jake?

  11. Tia and Nicolle's wedding had to have been the saddest trashy wedding I've ever seen.  So they had three guests, not counting Deonte hiding behind the tree and the camera crew:  Nicolle's mom, mom's girlfriend and Nicolle's stepdad.  Why did they put out many (MANY) more chairs than needed?  Did some folks who were expected not show?  Did they get a deal on chairs?  Were they for the other Virginia drivers of that road who drive their cars into the ditch a la Deonte and would need a place to rest?

Nothing says klassy like dressing for your wedding in a park bathroom (complete with makeup table!) and then your new spouse having a throwdown with your former sugar daddy while you throw your bouquet on the ground and stomp off to climb into your mother's waiting vehicle to be whisked away.  Yep, we can see that marriage is going to be an absolute DREAM for you, Nicolle.

And of course Nicolle is back to calling Deonte and the damn fool is taking her calls.  I don't get what kind of hold Nicolle has over Deonte (or Tia, for that matter.)  She is exactly what would roll out of the Mattel factory if they ever came up with a white trash former inmate Barbie.

I'm sad for John that Kristianna hasn't returned home but is apparently still in (said in a low whisper) Dubuque.  I knew nothing about Dubuque before this show but if I am ever traveling through Iowa, I will make sure to avoid it like the plague since it is apparently the Ninth Circle of Hell.

Also the Ninth Circle of Hell is Stan's toupee and whatever he's got going on with Grandma Tina.  Tina, please get yourself a good haircut and color and run from Stan like Nicolle was running from Deonte on her klassy wedding day.  I don't know you but I'm sure you deserve better.  Your grandkids certainly do.

So Lisa has found God.  I'm only amazed it didn't happen while she was incarcerated.  I have never before seen a baptism in a horse trough so there's something to scratch off the bucket list.  Who's she sponging off now?

Team Samuel.  He's the smartest person on this fuckery of a show.  And I LOVE the producers putting captioning in for Samuel that said HELP ME.  No lie.

So Brittany and Marcellino are now doing threesomes with Amanda.  That's their storyline?  Who cares?  The acting was particularly bad from all three of them.

I wonder how many small children Lacey scared while waiting around at Virginia Beach for Chon?  I am so disappointed that Chon went back to that overBotoxed and overbleached sea beast.  Dude, have some pride.  Has anyone started a pool on when he'll be back behind bars?  Because you know it's going to happen if he's back with Lacey.  I did have to laugh over Lacey saying that she was going to focus on her kids, after Chon left her at the boardwalk, then proceeded to go home to her empty house, sans kids, because they are with her dad.  When has she EVER taken care of her kids?  And just curious but other than the baby, who is (allegedly) Shane's, do the three older kids have the same father?  Do they all have different fathers?  And where are the fathers?  I have to think prison but I don't know the story.

So Puppy was out of the pokey in a week?  All that fuss and drama for a week, which is probably nothing to her or Amber. And Eric went ahead and took off to Vegas after Puppy got thrown in the slammer?  What a prince.

Every time I think I may like Amber, I remember how awful she was to Vince and then I start to dislike her again.

So Ray groveled to Brittany and then she accepted the ring, but not as a promise ring, and he's going to buy her a better ring when they get engaged?  Okay.  I will grudgingly admit that I like Ray.  He seems to be working very hard to walk the straight and narrow and I'll give him props for that.  Brittany should slow her ride and be grateful for what he is.

I mean, he could have six kids like Shawn, with a SEVENTH on the way.  God, Sara is stupid.  "We were using condoms and then . . . we just stopped."  Well, gee, how do you suppose a baby is made?  Honestly, she was packing her shit like a day after moving in with him, she knows her mother DETESTS him, she hasn't met his own Brady Bunch, she has barely been out of prison very long (I mean, long enough to get spray tanned and get her hair done but not long enough to work or anything).  So yeah, get pregnant, genius.

I have to say, I do look forward to Kelly ripping into Shawn over not only yet another engagement but bringing yet another child into the world.  It should be good.

Sara needs to take about a dozen seats over her newly found spine.  I guess since she's got a ring on her finger and a baby on board she thinks now she has the right to get involved in issues with his baby mama and kids.  Girl, you aren't working, you aren't contributing any money to the household so I really think you need to zip it about Shawn giving money to Kelly and their kids.  And you also need to stay quiet about issues that you've been involved in for 15 minutes and think you know.  Please watch last season with Shawn and then kick yourself in the ass.   In the Shawn-Kelly fiasco, the only acting parent we've seen is Kelly.  And since Sara got locked up when her daughter was six months old and her mother has been caring for her ever since, she really needs to take a moratorium on this one.

What ever happened to Angela and Tony version 2?  You know, that amazing couple where the guy fought her best guy friend and was ordering a bunch of shit on Amazon that was sitting on the porch of their double wide. Was that this season?  I'm confused.

I'd like to think that I will give up this trashfest but let's be honest.  I'll be watching the new installment next month.

  12. I hope Heather and Frazer are SLAMMED this charter.  They constantly badmouthed and gossiped about Eeyore behind her back so they should be THRILLED she's gone.  Way to go, Heather and Frazer!   No sympathy whatsoever.

I also am tired of Rayna's woe is me attitude.  I get that she's pissed at/doesn't like Heather but she needs to add context to the story.  I hate, hate, hate the word Heather used, don't care if it's in a song or what but she didn't call Rayna that or anyone else.  It's still reprehensible IMO but the context does matter.

I like Rachel much better this season.  She really is a kick ass chef.  I don't mind her cursing or language, so long as she's not directing it specifically at anyone.

Jake is totally overrated.  The previews have me confused.

No way would go on a luxury cruise with my mouth wired shut.  Part of the reason I go on vacation is to eat wonderful food so that would be a hard pass for me.  However, were this the real world where maybe she and her husband couldn't get their deposit back or whatever, I would come armed with what I COULD eat/drink and not rely solely upon the one chef who is not only preparing food for the rest of your party but the crew as well and certainly didn't train how to liquify and strain fine dining.  Soups are fine (and maybe even blending eggs) but otherwise, Wired should have brought protein packets, powdered mixes, etc.  Major fail on her part (or producer-driven shenanigans) and her meltdowns are not affecting me in the least.  Maybe she'll be like Delores last season and jump overboard.

I also didn't understand the Pink Party.  So everyone wears pink and they put pink balloons and streamers out and that's it?  Why?  If it was someone's birthday and that's their fave color, okay.  But otherwise, why?  I really think many of these requests (white party, pink party, 20 course dinner with wine selection, the crew puts on a talent show, etc.) are producer shenanigans.  Not that I've ever been on a luxury yacht but I would think the crew is basically supposed to disappear into the background.

And this is just me but if I were on one of those luxury yachts, one day of jet skiing and going down the slide and laying out and reading would be fine.  But then I'd want Captain Lee to motor that thing over to another village/city so that I could get off the boat for a few hours and go exploring, sightseeing, shopping, etc.

If we're allowed to discuss the previews they showed at the end -- sounds like Captain Lee said something about someone coming back and Heather looking less than thrilled.  Is Eeyore going to come back?

  13. So I see the f*ckery from last week continues to this week.

Dr. Pepper, girl, why on earth were you even in Zack and Michaela's unused apartment of busted dreams and combative meltdowns?  You clearly saw the footage of the Category 5 that Michaela turned into so why, WHY would you even try to attempt some sort of reconciliation?

So Zack basically tells Dr. Pepper 50 different ways that he is out, he is done, he is finished with this entire experiment and most definitely with Michaela and her crazy ass.  Dr. Pepper responds with a suggestion that they talk with Pepper in the middle as some sort of mediator/translator.   I don't know.  I'm confused.

That goes about as well as expected, with Zack leaving because Michaela is totally gaslighting him and the entire situation.  Note to Lisa Rinna:  THIS is gaslighting.

So despite film footage to the contrary and witnesses, Michaela now claims that she begged Zack not to leave her (I guess telling him to go, to bounce multiple times actually means "Please don't go" in Michaela's world?)  and that because he left her, knowing she has abandonment issues, she then had a panic attack.  Or should I say "panic attack" because that's some straight up bullshit.  Is that what Michaela's family has termed her "episodes?"  Because girl, that was not a panic attack.  That was some next-level anger/control issues that exploded.  Nope.  No way.

I'm angry that Dr. Pepper did not confront Michaela and call her on her bullshit.  Zack was rolling his eyes and shaking his head while she was rewriting absolutely everything to show what a poor little victim she was and then left versus calling her a lying liar who lies directly to her face.  But we all saw it.  It's on video.   Girl, bye.

Johnny continues to be a total dick to Bao, leaving her at the apartment after returning from the couples retreat, still in his stupid pink shorts with boots.  That's reason enough for divorce in my book.  Turns out that he had a conversation with Bao's best friend (or should I say "best friend") Sara who Johnny was allegedly calling because they are both shopping for a new car.  Yeah, doesn't sound right to me either.  Anyhow, this supposed friend of Bao's basically told Johnny what a horrible partner Bao is and encouraged him to leave.  Bao, you need to find new friends.  And definitely dump this husband.  It's very clear that Johnny is looking for any reason to choose divorce and make it look like it's all Bao's fault.  Johnny, you suck.  You should have been matched with Michaela.  You'd both deserve the agony of being matched with the other.

Brett and Ryan are still pretty much awkward with each other.  Brett was going to show Ryan her childhood photos (as we are in the usual end of season episode where the MAFS-ers see where their spouses grew up, talk about childhood, etc.) but she found out literally ten minutes earlier that Ryan is on a dating app and was just matched with a friend or someone she knew.  So clearly, she doesn't give a rip about sharing anything with Ryan.  I know that's right.  Ryan doesn't deny it but says that he wasn't active, he wasn't going to do anything until after D-Day, etc, etc.  I don't know about dating apps nowadays but it seems to me that if you've gone on one to load your profile, etc., you're already doing something.  And as Brett pointed out, they are one week -- ONE WEEK -- from D-Day.  Could he not have waited seven days to do that?  It's really disrespectful to her.  She's still his wife and even though they both are going to decide to divorce, it's just disrespectful.   Shame on you, Ryan.

I feel badly for Brett.  She seems like a fun, nice lady.  Will Ryan even admit what happened?  He seemed like he could have been into her when she and her breasts walked down the aisle and he admitted that after the honeymoon, he wasn't as attracted.  If it wasn't the terrible bathing suit she wore, was it because she was as slobby during the honeymoon as she apparently was in the apartment?  I understand that can be a deal-breaker for some - although I don't recall her apartment looking all that disorganized and crazy when she took him to see it.  Producer shenanigans?  Anyhow.

Jose and Rachel.  Yawn.  Rachel does admit to Jose that she ended up calling her ex to come pick her up when Jose locked her out of the apartment and she spent the night at the ex's place.  I'm still side eyeing that whole business.  Do the MAFS-ers not have an emergency number for production?  I know that Rachel went to the doors of some of the other MAFS-ers but was she tapping like a quiet little mouse?  How was it that not one of them heard her knocking?  Were any of them actually sleeping at their production apartment?    So Jose obviously doesn't like that Rachel called her ex (understandable).  I'm thinking that will be another index card on the fridge.

Gil and Myrla.  Not going to lie.  Gil's story of how his dad was murdered choked me up.  It says a lot about Gil and his mom, and his dad, that he turned out to be a decent man (from what we've seen.)  I think he and Myrla definitely have differences with regard to finances, and they seem pretty large, but I think they are the only couple this season with a chance of making it the distance.  Jose and Rachel are into each other right now but Jose is controlling and I have a feeling he will use the fact of Rachel calling her ex when she was locked out against her in a future disagreement.

Zack has clearly already started the divorce proceedings (as he should).  Bao should contact his attorney because she and Johnny have zero hope and she deserves so much better than this judgmental little twit who is flailing to find anything at all to disrespect and demean her.

The "experts" have been a complete fail this season.  There needed to be interventions on almost all these couples a long time ago.
