I am spitballing here, but perhaps all of them are dead counselors? If you don't know you're dead then that would make sense. But by having Ramirez and all this talk of God and satan, I have to wonder if this is where the Orwellian 1984 theme may come in? Perhaps this is hell? Purgatory? Or perhaps it's an experiment like the Most Dangerous Game? There HAS to be something that ties in to that theme, or Ryan Murphy would not have picked that specific year... Just spitballing. Too soon to tell, but I'm stoked on this season.
