  1. Someone said that this episode was going to be the one that really leads into Legacies, so I was prepared to dislike it. But it was ok- I liked Hope's quality time with her father and uncle, and seeing hints at what's become of our TVD characters. Hope's transformation was pretty easy, considering all the tension leading up to it. And of course they'd consider using Bonnie again. Leave her alone! I was not a fan of her jacket with the cutouts in the back. Worst leather jacket in the TVD universe. Have we seen siphoner witches use spells to siphon? I only remember them siphoning through physical touch, and then using that magic to do spells and things. It would be cool if they told us more about it all. Hayley gathering firewood stuck out at me. People still have to do little things like that over there.
  2. Is Hope's hair redder than it was a few months ago? When Hope was toasting after the stolen wedding, shouldn't Davina have looked sad? She knew about Hope's condition, too. Happy Elijah could have chemistry with a bag of chips. Overall, it hit most of the right emotional points.
  3. So none of the witches ever discussed freeing their ancestors? The link to them was severed a while back so the living witches weren't drawing from their power. Or at least that's what I remember. I guess no one has minded the idea of them stuck in that little afterlife before now. Hope saying that she feels numb was the only moment in which I've found her likeable. That's an appropriate response to something they've done. Declan has just a couple of episodes left to prove his usefulness. I'm still rolling my eyes over that "heart as big as Ireland" line from a while back. When is Marcel going to do something interesting and powerful? I'll miss Josh. Wouldn't have minded some more facial expressions when he saw Aiden (Aiden!) but that was a sweet moment.
  4. It does seem to act more like an energy than a real witch's spirit.
  5. So Freya was really going to let Vincent take the blame for all of that? Such good friends. I hope Marcel gets some more character development before the series is over. That little Katherine moment was pretty funny. Kol is now my favorite Mikaelson and I didn't see that coming at all. And in the next ep we have to hear him tell Hope that he hates himself, too. That sort of apology always makes me roll my eyes.
  6. Hope said that something was her fault and no one contradicted her, that was nice. Why did people keep using Lucien's apartment after he was killed? Was the set too nice?
  7. I hadn't even noticed this forum existed! French Grey is one of those scents that I keep smelling, trying to decide if i like it or not. It has a lavender note that I like, and I'd like to find a cheaper alternative to Serge Lutens Gris Clair with a soft lavender note, interesting aromatics, and a little sweetness.
  8. Any Aggretsuko fans? Its a quick binge-watch.
  9. Didn't Antoinette say that her family didn't approve of daylight activity? So they only use daylight rings when working for "the cause"? Vincent is preachy but he's my favorite. Does else value human life the way he does? I don't understand how he and Freya can be friends, but its nice to see them hang out from time to time. I hope we see Hayley in flashbacks that include at least one new-to-us moment of family togetherness. I agree with everyone who said that it would have been better to have more of Hayley in the episode than just her tied up in the chair. In the episode where Cami died, there were those 10 seconds where they showed stuff in her room that showed her interests and relationships with people, so we had a little recap of her New Orleans life. Still, it was a noble death, and I hope its not the only major loss for this season, just so things feel more final. The dialogue between Klaus and Caroline was nice but there was less chemistry there compared to other times. This is turning out to be a really underwhelming last season.
  10. I liked Hope's werewolf side emerging, but she's super cavalier about having to take a life. What sort of exposure has she had to humans, anyway? Alaric? She obviously doesn't respect him very much. Freya was my favorite character this week. Josh, too, for continuing to have some backbone. This whole Nazi thing was really unnecessary. If the flashback had taken place later in the 30s, I would have thought Klaus' jacket was a Hugo Boss. I laughed out loud when Klaus said that Marcel needed to be loved. It was never going to be easy for Klaus to be a better person, but he really is regressing, and some of it feels like bad writing. This season just feels like a prequel for Legacies.
  11. Fingers crossed so Vincent survives this season. He speaks the truth and I love it. Also Josh, for being the one vampire who doesn't throw his weight around. Marcel's "who are you?" moment with Greta was pretty good. Hope is irritating as hell. Are half-day-old beignets still good?
  12. Loved it. I really liked that Antoinette was kind of old school. I thought she would have been a member of that "enemy" French family, or that she really wanted his daylight ring for some reason. They had real chemistry, and the actress is gorgeous. DG must have had so many little character traits to weave into his performance and reveal at the right time. A lot of that is in the script, but still, good acting. It would be nice if one vampire could say "feel no pain". I don't know if it would work, but someone should try.
  13. Hope could use another human influence besides Declan because the Mikaelson morality is rubbing off on her. Too many selfish, short-sighted decisions. The only time I liked her was in the flashback with her cute little spell book, and with her embarrassed expressions while talking to the suspicious vamp boy. Maybe Hayley will discipline her. So no one cares about the snakes that are potentially biting people all over town? Klaus could have quickly killed the one that came out of his daughter's mouth. It would have been to have Henry tell off Hope as he was getting bricked up. Somehow Joseph Morgan's teary eyes haven't gotten annoying for me.
