  1. They do like to space out their announcements for “press” purposes, so maybe they agreed Jessa would go first, then Kendra’s birth announcement, and we will hear Anna’s pregnancy confirmed in another week or so. They can’t take the chance that too many announcements at once might prevent one of them from getting a Facebook tabloid headline.
  2. I think it’s perfectly normal and healthy for Gwen to look up to Mariah. From an adult perspective, we get frustrated with Mariah for sitting around and doing nothing while shouting from the rooftops about being woke, but she’s not that different from other twenty-somethings navigating a world different than the one they grew up in and feeling they are the first humans to learn what they’re learning and feel what they’re feeling. Then you take Gwen, who also grew up in a very religious family and whose older siblings have all gone on very traditional paths so far AND whose mom is a simpleton (a loving, accepting simpleton, but a simpleton nonetheless), and I can see how even an annoying half sister going against the grain would appeal to Gwen. If Gwen is bisexual and working out who she wants to be as she approaches adulthood, and she can already see clearly that she doesn’t want to be like Aspyn or Maddie or McKelti, I can see how someone like Mariah would be an example of how to not go the traditional Brown route. Both Gwen and Mariah are both really just kids with messed up upbringings made worse by reality TV.
  3. Janelle wants Robyn to finish raising Savannah and for Savannah to get to hang out with Robyn’s oldest kids, I think. She benefited the most from their original arrangement with Christine all of the oldest kids, who have all turned out pretty well.
  4. I know it’s our fault for continuing to watch it, but I can’t believe TLC has made this many seasons of a show that was supposed to be about how a polygamous family functions as a family unit, and is instead just about a bunch of miserable people who don’t even live near each other getting more and more miserable. Christine looks great and has her own house that she likes. If Kody is on the mortgage, she should find a way to get him off. She should get a job or use Lula money to be off on her own and maybe try online dating. She could stay friends with Janelle and still be a second mother and grandmother to her children. Meri should move permanently to the B&B and run that while doing her Lula scam until the jig is up on that. She can visit Mariah and Audrey and maybe even try online dating herself. if Janelle still feels devoted to Kody, she should move into Robyn’s mansion. Her remaining kids at home would have more of a sibling relationship with Robyn’s kids and she would get more Kody attention by default because they would spend more time together. I don’t think she cares about the sex anyway... Kody would probably like having her around to vent when Robyn annoys him.
  5. Some celebrity biographies have sections in the middle of the book with “never before seen” personal photos. I wonder if J and J are saving all of Evangeline’s baby photos to publish in the book in hopes that it will help them sell copies.
  6. Lookie here at the Fundie royalty/terrifying abuser who commented on that video Jill posted!
  7. How did they not mention how similar this was to what happened to Nev?
  8. Even if he was confused about the Celsius vs Fahrenheit temperature, anyone who has done any baking ever (not just sweets, but lasagna or baked chicken or whatever) would know that 180 was definitely too low (ahem, JINGER). Even if the cake tastes okay, the texture will be off from baking so long at a low temperature before the real temp was reached. Also, one of his last stories showed that they don’t own a cooling rack, which tells me that no one is doing much baking in that household in general.
  9. We live in Florida, so we never see snow. When we were at my SIL’s for Christmas when my sons were about Israel’s and Sam’s ages, it snowed the teensiest bit and didn’t even stick, but my sons were still THRILLED and played outside “in it” for hours. Honestly, I’m just tickled by the normal, joyful aspects of childhood Jill’s kids are experiencing. Christmas movies and snow play and hot cocoa and pancakes with sprinkles. These are genuinely good memories this family is making for their kids, not to mention public school and lots of play dates with actual friends.
  10. There’s a new video today of them stringing cranberries and orange slices, and Sam shows Jill his “happy dance” in it, and I am so thankful he is allowed to dance.
  11. I don’t think someone came to the door, because her keys and purse were outside. I still believe it happened when she came home from dropping her daughter off at school. Ally said she had to wake her mom up to drive her, and her mom drove her in her pajamas. I can see her mom bringing a cup of coffee for the drive if she had just been woken up. Then when she got home, if the killer was waiting for her, it would make sense that her keys, purse, and coffee cup would be the things dropped from her hands in the struggle. I still think it was the husband, although Conway is creepy as hell. However, doesn’t the husband’s alibi hold up that he was in court? I had wondered initially if he had hired someone to kill her, but the private investigator said the rage and then the cushions pointed to a personal relationship. Could he have killed her in the early morning before making it to court on time? If not, I’m switching my “vote” to someone in that messed up extended family, but definitely not Ally.
  12. I haven’t actually heard them say Evelyn’s nickname out loud. Do they pronounce it Eeevey or Eh-vy? Long or short E?
  13. Since they took Lissy from the middle of Felicity, I’m going to guess they will use Angie for Evangeline.
  14. I had wondered if maybe Jennifer was with Kendra and Joe, helping Kendra with her littles since she’s pregnant again. No evidence to suggest that, just a thought. I wonder if Jinger and Jeremy vetoed having Josie come because she’s too messy for their California lifestyle.
  15. Check out Derick’s reply to a comment on Jill’s latest post...
  16. How does money work with the Duggar household that a 17 year old could afford that nice of a ring? Does he get to keep money he makes working at one of JB’s businesses? Did he ask JB for a loan?
  17. I can totally see them stopping at three kids if their third is a boy. Two older sisters to help Jinger take care of Prince Jeremy Jr., and not too many kids that Jeremy Sr. won’t still be the center of Jinger’s universe.
  18. Claire posted on Instagram that they had been courting for 14 months, which makes sense, considering how far back she can be spotted in Duggar photos hanging out with Justin.
  19. Anna actually “liked” a comment on that post in which someone told her kids care about quantity, not quality, so a good trick was to double the recipe for the batter but still only use one bag of chocolate chips! I am offended on so many levels.
  20. I think all the colors of the bridesmaids dresses work except Jill’s and Johannah’s. I could almost forgive Johannah’s color, because she’s technically a junior bridesmaid, and I can see putting a younger girl in pink no matter what, but it could have blended better. That said, they still one million percent had the classiest looking Duggar wedding. Now we just need to get them dancing like “normal” couples, even though they didn’t get to at their own wedding. I’m sure they’ve slow danced at events since then. Will they let their daughters do a dance class? Slow dance on camera for an anniversary episode?
  21. She definitely looks more like Janelle than Savanah does.
  22. I just stumbled upon the fact that Jill just turned 42, making her only two months older than me. I am not normally one to judge women for their looks as they age, but I honestly thought she was ten years older than she is. It’s got to be the make-up and hair, right? I feel like if she toned it all down, she would look her age.
  23. I would imagine she uses one of those companies where you give them the logo and they do the printing and mailing when someone orders it. Those websites are a dime a dozen these days. I don’t think she has any physical merchandise at her home.
  24. That makes me think Gloria should be in the mix. Gloria Diana, Gloria Mary, or Gloria Michelle?
