It’s like the people on this show don’t watch any other CBS shows.
  2. I don’t believe that occupation is a protected class, so I’m not sure where they were going with the school storyline. And assuming this was a private school, I don’t think the state school board would have any jurisdiction over them (although I assume they do have some type of governing agency.) The only thing I could really see happening would be some possible bad publicity. And frankly, in a place like NYC , I’m not even sure that discrimination against cops would result in much bad publicity.
  3. My favorite exchange involved Linkletter sitting down to the spaghetti bucket dinner: ”I visited Italy once.” “Does this bring back memories?” ”No.” Is Sheldon walking in on George and the “blonde” just going to be completely glossed over? Has he mentioned it once since it happened? And where is Sturgis? I miss him.
  4. In an event where fire is swirling around in the air, is taking shelter under a giant box full of gasoline really the smartest play?
  5. Randy is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. I’m hard pressed to think of a character I detest more.
  6. I guess HVAC repair is the one thing Bailey can’t do.
  7. I thought for certain they were setting up Cricket for a long term arc. So, in that sense, we’ll played, show. Even though I liked the character, I like it more when shows do the unexpected. How could anyone possibly not care about Betty???
  8. I wonder if Audi had to pay a product placement fee to be known as the preferred vehicle of sex traffickers.
  9. So, I’m thinking Mom killed Dad and brother took the blame. Also, I liked the female cop. I’m assuming she’s a one-off, given that the premise of the show is Shaw traveling to collect rewards. Overall, liked it well enough to keep watching. I thought Hartley was very underrated on TIU (he was my favorite of the Big 3), so I’m glad he got the opportunity to be a show lead.

I’ll admit I didn’t fully understand the concrete ploy. Chuck didn’t think either Prince or the professor should have the patent because they were focused on profit instead of using it for the good of mankind. So, he tips off the government who classifies it, making sure it is just sat on and not used for the good of mankind.
  11. Late to the party, but I loved that in their last scene together, Ava was wearing the dress that Deb bought her from the clearance rack at the middle of nowhere Lord and Taylor.
  12. What did the letter say? I couldn’t make it out.
  13. Was I the only one not hating the idea of Sam & Lana. Sure seemed as if they were testing the waters. And something that has been bugging me — Is the actor playing Matteo the kid from the Crest commercial that stops to look at his smile in the car window?
  14. I’m still trying to wrap my head around the logic of placing your child in a supposedly air tight container when a mud slide is barreling towards you. And was Luke really not going to reveal he was (conveniently) a match because Vince was mad at him???
  15. The various casts, braces, eyepatches of the plaintiffs was so over the top it was almost comical. The defense lawyers should have gotten Mike Brady to drop a large book and the whole thing would have likely been dismissed.
  16. I thought for certain that the kid who helped save Bobby would be shown applying to become a firefighter before the episode was over.
  17. Judd: How long does a field amputation take? Tommy: It takes as long as it takes. Judd: Draws axe. Bulldog: Apparently, field amputations don’t take long at all.
  18. Allison really is this show’s Zoloft blob.
  19. Vince’s dad said Vince cheated on Sharon, which to me, implies a sexual relationship, at least a one night stand. But Sharon said Vince kissed a woman one time, which while bad, doesn’t seem to match the mood of the earlier scene. Are we to believe Vince didn’t tell Sharon everything? Or was dad exaggerating? Or did I just totally misread the whole thing?
  20. Nice Pollock reference they managed to sneak in there.
  21. I wonder what the CBS brass thought of the reverse mortgage joke considering one of their biggest stars regularly hawks those products.
  22. Wasn't a fan of how they strong armed the car dealer into giving away two cars. If someone is stupid enough to risk kidney failure over a car, that's not the dealer's fault. All of them knew the rules when they started. Otherwise, thought it was pretty solid for a premier.
  23. Solid opener. I already find the new characters and storylines more interesting than last season.
  24. After the pilot, I wrote that this show was bad, but watchable. I would like to officially retract the second half of that statement. Woof. This veered into straight up parody with the hologram. And performing a Judds' song. At a funeral. For someone who committed suicide. Very poor form. (Yes, I realize this was taped prior to Naomi Judd's death, but still not a good look.) Was Sarandon hard up for money when she agreed to appear in this? Did she lose a bet? Inquiring minds want to know.
  25. Did none of the many guests at the dinner find it odd that Laenor had such a complete and total meltdown over his "friend's" death? Or is it one of those things people just wouldn't talk about? In public, at least. I'm quite sure tongues were wagging in private.
