  1. It doesn’t matter how much I dislike Burton’s personality and decisions, even he shouldn’t be expected to support a child his wife became pregnant with via a relationship outside the marriage. There are circumstances where I’d like to see him receive a comeuppance but this isn’t it. If she cheated or if she started a relationship after they split, this is her kid and her responsibility. His name will never go on the birth certificate, especially if he files for divorce and names adultery as the reason.
  2. I assume (possibly a bad idea) that after she released her pregnancy announcement that he asked her to go ahead and put out a statement about being separated and that he isn't the father. If she refused or just wanted to remove the post, I think he was between a rock and a hard place given that the natural assumption would be that he is the father. If this baby is the result of an affair and she was getting in a dig at him by making that announcement I think it's human nature on his part to tidy up the mess she made. I don't think he should be expected to think about HER baby given how she handled the announcement.
  3. My folks are both in their 70’s. Neither has dementia and they are both still able to be independent and enjoy life as retirees, but this episode hit hard because I know what could be coming. I was keeping those feelings at bay until “And so it goes” started. That just about did me in. I felt that as if it gut punched my soul. Damn you show but also good job show.
  4. In fairness she hasn’t had her siblings around much the past couple of years. She seems to visit more with cousin Amy than Jessa or Jana. And I wouldn’t bet on her moving to, for example, Little Rock, and not knowing anyone. There’s a good chance she’ll have at least one friend or acquaintance in the area just because the Duggars knew so many people during their heyday. But even if she doesn’t, she managed to make friends with her neighbors over the time she’s lived in their current neighborhood and some of those friendships might be close enough that they have “friend weekends” where one or the other visits with their children. Moving is stressful and new scenery will be an adjustment but it’s one she’s successfully made before. And I also fully expect Cathy to be around frequently to see her grandchildren and provide support. She and Jill appear to be close.
  5. I kind of wish they had started some of tonight’s events last week so it didn’t feel so rushed BUT I loved the dancing the end and how all the cast and crew were part of it. Great final 3 minutes!!
  6. By the time they actually move it will probably be within days of the end of the school year. The house is only pending right now so I'd assume they won't be moved out until mid-May. It seems silly to start Izzy in a new school for 2 or 3 weeks. Derick might start commuting to his new job and get them set up in the new town/city while Jill gets things finished up at the old house.
  7. While I do think she is posting fewer pictures of their faces, I think that “black bar” is actually the color of the box lid/side. She might have had him obscure his face for the photo but I don’t think she edited a black bar over him.
  8. They did a great job casting Tony Atlas. The actor captured a lot of the mannerisms and the voice really well.
  9. I fear this show jumped the shark (or tiger perhaps) last night. That was too outrageous for a show where the basic premise-how the CIA brought crack into the inner city and the ensuing chaos-is rooted in reality. It reminds me of how Sons of Anarchy went off the rails after awhile. I'm also having a tough time following the plot this year but maybe that’s because there’s so much stuff that hasn’t been revealed yet that would make things more clear.
  10. Lithium is too hard on the body, especially the kidneys, to be a sleep medication. Even in the case of bipolar disorder it is often a last resort because modern mood stabilizers don’t require monthly blood draws and aren’t as difficult to stop taking. Jackson must have a very serious bipolar disorder that doesn’t respond to newer meds or he has been on it for a very long time.
  11. Do we know if the series finale is the episode they were filming when they had the blow up on set? I’ve been trying to figure out which episode this season is connected to the fight.
  12. Robyn is obviously not going to blame Kody, and if Meri allowed herself to verbalize an understanding of Christine’s position then she might have to face uncomfortable truths about her own marriage. Janelle didn’t seem to side with Kody at all. She was mostly neutral but did say she sees Christine as happier since the split. She also backed Christine up by saying Christine tried for a long time to keep the marriage together.
  13. It’s not accountability when he says “It came off like harassment.” No it WAS harassment of a woman you no longer control. Besides that, we all know this will only last until his next tantrum or mood swing.
  14. Come again?! He was out there with a girlfriend (Irina?) long before Kim met Davidson. He only cared when she moved on, much like OJ Simpson ( not that I think he’s capable of murder). If Kim and Pete Davidson hide out and are never seen in public they are letting that childish egomaniac have power over them that he isn’t entitled to; the marriage is over except for paperwork. He thought dating other women would bring her back and instead she moved on. He’s been spiraling ever since.
  15. I was making an assumption. He may still have it but the number of accidents makes it seem at least 50/50 that it's suspended/revoked
  16. What I gleaned from that is 1) Tim has definitely contemplated suicide. He's trying way to hard to convince people how HAPPY he is because of Jesus. I feel awful for him that he isn't allowed to be honest about how he feels and that he doesn't have anyone around to validate him. He's living in an RV, he's lost his driver's license, he's failed out of two colleges, and his family upbringing has emotionally crippled him as a potential boyfriend or husband. It's just sad, sad, sad. 2) I really suspect he's gay. He is fighting something inside of himself, which brings me back to #1. 🙁
  17. My hunch is the Flores lawsuit will put any plans to hire McCown on ice because Nick Caserio HAS to know how that is going to look. It would also be very unfair to McCown, who hasn't done anything wrong but will be asked constantly about being hired without experience and will be held up as the example of everything wrong with the NFL. If I'm McCown I let the Texans know "thanks but no thanks" and I try to get on somewhere as an assistant, even if it's a college team. It's just a bad look to jump the line no matter how much enthusiasm and commitment you showed in your interview.
  18. I wonder if that tracks with Kody saying they "circled the wagons" to protect her. Kody clearly wasn't being honest about how he really felt, which is one of the few good things he has done--tried to preserve Meri's relationship with their daughter. It seems clear, looking back, that there was a LOT that wasn't said on tv.
  19. The door scenes would have been March 2021. It’s possible some were either vaccinated and that the rules were relaxed by then. A year into the pandemic people had a better idea of what was and was not safe.
  20. It's possible JB or Michelle are in the room when she does her video calls with Josh. Her name is the one that is logged because it's her account. She may also have two calls a day to allow the older kids to be part of one of them.
  21. Same. I don’t doubt that Austin has negative feelings about Jim Bob that might include a complete lack of trust in what he says. Joy may also feel disappointment and anger. That doesn’t mean they will never be at TTH again. If anyone is joining Jill and Derick on the outs it would be Joy and Austin but most families have complicated feelings and relationships. Her feelings about JB would have nothing to do with Michelle, her younger siblings, or attending family functions. I won’t be surprised one way or the other.
  22. I’m not sure why people were expecting more of the kids to cut off the family. Even if they are unhappy with Jim Bob there’s been no indication any of the kids-even Jill-are on the outs with Michelle. Families are complicated and it’s entirely possible to love someone but still be unhappy or angry about their actions. I’ve never gotten the impression Jesse is even terribly mad at her dad despite her feelings about Josh.
  23. They took Josh to task far more directly than I thought they would—“we fear for Josh’s soul” is about as big a smackdown as two religious people like Jinger and Jeremy can deliver.
  24. As much as I do believe there are family divisions, this just reads to much like fan fiction. The WOACB lady doesn’t have much credibility. I also don’t believe there is mass exasperation with Anna. I’d say there is probably tremendous sympathy and concern for her and the kids.
