  1. So, the ad is a ploy to get more money by letting viewers infer that "Little Rosario" is being put in danger without actually saying so?
  2. Even if they do, they may be restricted to a list of "safe" sites to keep anyone from getting an unfair creative advantage, creating lapses in what they can get.
  3. At least their spellings would agree with their pronunciations. Somebody earlier gave the example of "Leigh", which apparently doesn't rhyme with "sleigh", "neigh" or "weigh" even though it's spelled like it should.
  4. Sounds like something a for-profit school might have told her about employers that ask for people with degrees.
  5. There is/was a longer version of the ad with a second transition to a new chamber. I've only seen the shorter ad lately.
  6. It would be, but that means he could grab who he wants, when the usual story would have him pinned down by minions while they get away, leaving the writers with time to fill. They could have gone with Lucifer still being immortal, but getting hit by bullets being painful enough that it just wasn't something he was wiling to experience, except maybe to save Chloe, or to march up to someone who he was exceptionally pissed off at (e.g. one who'd dared to steal his wings).
  7. He's a wealthy guy with a good job who she can make do whatever she wants eventually; there's enough resistance to make it fun for her.
  8. They haven't, but maybe the other company can use KFC as an example of what not to do.
  9. I think what surprised them was that the university would be so greedy about something that didn't have to do with their work, but that they just came up with while employed there. The writers tried to clarify this point by having Sheldon talk about his ideas for mugs and shirts insulting to geologists.
  10. I hope they took a lesson from KFC recasting Col. Sanders.
  11. I'd describe it more as a Psych or Moonlighting, substituting a wise-cracking bad boy who doesn't follow the rules for the usual wise-cracking man-boy who doesn't follow the rules.
  12. JD said he didn't have the time to spend training. Maybe he should cut back on how much time he spends eating. Ten minutes of not eating is worth a lot more than 10 minutes of working out anyway when it comes to losing weight.
  13. Ooops is right. They put themselves in the same spot as when Star Trek created their transporter for lots of good story reasons, then had to explain why it couldn't just yank a character out of danger every week. A bulletproof Lucifer put a kink in being able to recycle stories we've seen a hundred times before with other TV detectives. So they ditched his immortality, along with any prospects for us seeing fresh spins on those stories. Lazy writers.
  14. What does it say when more people are talking about something mentioned in the recap than the episode itself? The latter actually solves the problem of whether to pronounce the "e" in "Nike". Leuh is moving to the right state; California is known for creative naming.
  15. With Robert gone, the producers will no longer have to send any video out for captioning. It's been a while since they've given immunity before an individual challenge.
  16. I think it does if you look at it as though she were trying to convince a prospective employer to hire her despite not having a degree. I think it serves to undercut the sponsor, so it doesn't make sense in that regard.
  17. Could Jimmy have found a local law school that would give him transfer credit for his remote study at UoAS? Then he could have officially finished there and taken the bar without a problem.
  18. Yes, he told Leonard about the Croatian women at anythingforagreencard.com, and offered to lend him his username.
  19. Dr Neil deGrasse Tyson comes to mind, and Steve Wozniak came off as a rather nice guy. Stan Lee was given good reason to act the way he did. They've been back and forth with Hawking.
  20. At some point in the future, being too talkative may get Nacho or someone close to him in trouble, and he'll learn to be more discrete.
  21. I was a little surprised to see CBS re-rerun a couple of this season's episodes last night. Anybody know what bombed and left a hole in their schedule?
  22. The idea worked a lot better on The Simpsons where he only had a voice-over and didn't have to sell it physically. I expect that it was rough to play himself in an unflattering way. The writers should have gone in a different direction.
  23. A quick google says it's via webcam and "romance tours" (where groups of guys are flown over), but it'd probably be more accurate to say that it's a cover for a scam, rather than a real mailorder bride operation.
  24. Lip gloss is often tinted, for when you want some color, but for it not to be as obvious as lipstick, for what ads call the "natural look".
  25. I think it's ironic that we saw this week's winner thank this week's loser for saving him during the sculpting phase. And that wasn't the only person she may have saved from being on the bottom. While it's nice not to see any backstabbing, by helping each other as much as they do, the contestants may be mucking up the competition for the judges.
