  1. Per the Sun, for what its worth. I do think Josh will eventually get busted for using a computer to look at porn. They love to do surprise hits, where they use forensic triage tools to look at the nooks and crannies of your computer. I can't see him being disciplined enough to stop.
  2. In the federal system, you MUST serve at least 85% of the sentence. If you don't cause problems, get a degree, attempt to be useful, get sex offender help or AA help, you can attempt to get out of the other 15%.
  3. Writing and doodling, folks. The judge should have tacked on another 6 months for him being a disrespectful fuck.
  4. He can get a job with Travis Story and be shocked and amazed that the guy he's trying to pin the crime on was a) his client and b) in jail at the time.
  5. There will also be fewer J slaves in the big house to help her with her kids. And I can't see any of the girls sending their daughters over to help. Not even Jessa. Anna better pray that JB lives a long long life.
  6. To be fair, I said anything over 12 and I'd do cartwheels down the hall at work. I'm going to ache in the morning.
  7. That's a good, fair sentence that takes into consider that he's already hurt victims in his home and the content of the CP downloaded. I am ecstatic that it's over 10 years and beyond happy it's over 12. To put this into perspective, my worse case ever, where the guy had terabytes of "littles" (I'll leave that your imagination), got 13 years, with three of those years coming for a chat transcript where he talked about grooming crackhead parents to get access to their kids. That was an EXTRAORDINARY sentence for no victims. So, Josh got a bigger sentence than normal (8ish years) largely due to the prosecutor's hard work. I take my hat off to them. Excellent work, AUSAs. I think the work they did in getting his sister's abuse admitted is the difference in this case. Without showing he's already contact offended, Josh would be looking at 7 to 8 years.
  8. Wait, Ms. Balls told everyone Josh was going to have to pay 250K in restitution. What??? It doesn't always happen when I told you it wasn't going to happen?
  9. Every year they tell me to work up the specs for the super laptops and every year they hand me a piece of HP and tell me good luck. And every year the piece of HP goes on the shelf with the other pieces of HP. But this year I got them. Sorry everyone. But it does allow me to help get perverts prosecuted faster, so kind on topic? I think the points the defense won will get them "I told you so points" with JB. Like, you may of spent 500K on this show, but we just got 2 years off your kid's sentence. The prosecution won those points. Now let's see the Judge actually apply all the time the enhancements bring, which isn't always reflected in the final sentence.
  10. Jill needs to take care of herself. She shouldn't feel obligated to go or not go. She's very pregnant and it's probably good for her to avoid the entire shitshow. We are all stressed out and nervous. Imagine how she would feel.
  11. I got the super fast, super nice forensic laptops I've been begging for the last two years. I got to purchase off government contract, which is a HUGE deal, so yes, I'm happy. And now I'm sucking Cheeto dust off my fingers and enjoying a diet coke and schadenfreude about Josh. The points the prosecution has lost to the defense are not that big. The pattern of behavior and S/M content is. It allows the Judge to say that Josh is a danger as proven by his past behavior and content downloaded. I still think anything more than 10 years is a gift. I've never seen the points add up to years. I think Judges just get a number in their head and go with it.
  12. I mentioned yesterday that Josh had a miniscule amount of images compared to nearly every case I've ever processed/testified about. I'm not shocked that the prosecution lost this one. I told you all that enhancements are tricky.
  13. And in my experience, showing that he's polite and considerate towards the sleazeball in front of him. It's hard to appeal and say the judge was biased when he said nice things about your Letters of Support bullshit culty propaganda.
  14. The problem with that statement, in THIS case, is that prosecution can turn around and say "do any of your in life, real sister victims' want to make a statement?" They would never do it, but it's not like Josh has all KINDS of VICTIMS.
  15. You just can't underscore this enough with calling it fuckstration. Where your frustration is fucking tired. Yes, they are his victims because by downloading and viewing, he revictimized her. These lawyers NEED to seriously stop. Talking.
  16. I told y'all that Josh knowingly distributing was going to go down. Very few people really understand P2P programs, other than I click buttons until it's working and then I get stuff. I'm totally not surprised by this.
  17. I blew my fasting time and dug into Cheeto puffs, just as my boss asked me to speak on Zoom. Fun times. Cheeto fingers on screen. Drama makes me hungry. It will be interesting to see which points the Judge agreed with Duggar on.
  18. Her into talk about being the only woman in the room and not getting any respect until she created a male agency owner describes my life. I just didn't know her pain until I entered the digital forensics world. Hopefully your internet stays up! Is the tension making anyone else hungry? I have a sudden craving for cheetos.
  19. So if womin folk need help sweeping up cracker crumbs, do one of the Howlers get assigned to be Anna's crumb sweeper? We know they like to farm out pre-teen girls to help with womin work, like hoisting babies and stuff. But are the manly duties assigned out? Who will take Anna's trash to the road? Since she doesn't have a curb. Who will rotate her tires and check her oil? Who will change the flashing 12:12 on the VCR?????
  20. I can't keep the howlers straight, is Jason single? Or even straight? I can't tell if he's ironically hip or just tragically fashion challenged. Or maybe he bought used from the estate of a 90 year old man and saved the difference for hair plugs. Gosh, I'm mean today. I LOVED that show. I set through two seasons, trying to get a good picture of Laura's loft for a friend who was doing a renovation. What a great show.
  21. I'm so not getting any work done today. And I desperately need to get work done. I'm not leaving here until 7PM at this rate. I actually think this is a federal court house rule, and not just Judge Brook's ruling. We can't bring cell phones into most court houses I go to. I told one judge I think he has people break into cars and steal cell phones during hearings. He doesn't think I'm nearly as funny as I think I am.
  22. She was probably too busy sweeping up cracker crumbs....alone... to initially write the letter. I'm sure once the Duggars sent someone over to intimidate help her sweep up crumbs, she had time to write a letter.
  23. I just wish people would remember the victims. It's never goes away for them, even after the Duggar's have faded into obscurity. Even having victims in their own family means nothing to the Duggars.
  24. I won't be shocked if the Judge notes that none of the letters supporting Josh mentioned the victims. And yet, they want the judge to release this man back to the family, who apparently doesn't care about victims at all.
  25. So tone deaf. It underscores the point for the judge that this man and his family have no thoughts about his victims, about the victims of child sexual abuse, and that they basically only care about themselves. Such disgusting human beings. Their "Christian" card needs revoking. I sincerely hope they all burn in hell. For those of you who didn't hear the infamous Larry Nassar letter to the Judge, it's very similar in tone and denseness.
