  1. Dennis/Isabelle and the Mother/daughter were among my favorites last week, so it was a bummer to have them be the last two teams. The daughter and Isabelle were both slightly too weepy, but I didn't mind it as much since both teams seemed like super fans of the race. What should they have done to handle the reversing current better? It looks like the teams with a man punting (plus the team with the two very athletic women) generally had fewer problems, so strength was important. Dennis didn't seem like he was very strong, or maybe he just didn't know how to handle the problem. None of the other teams mentioned it, except for T and T, who also weren't very strong physically. I was hoping the two teams who quit on the last task last week, or the Wrestling team who was so defeatist at the marching task, would go. The guy in the Survivor team was much more unlikeable this week. The Dentists were still arrogant as hell, but at least they're mildly entertaining and it helped when they didn't win again. His "second is only the first loser" comment was the only irritating thing he said. The surfers were a powerhouse and the Kim & Alli were quietly competent. The food scientists had a great attitude, so they're probably my favorites right now, though we didn't really get to see much of them.
  2. They really missed an opportunity for a musical number when Emma and Regina were both on opposite sides of the door... here are possible lyrics... Do you wanna be a human? Come on let's try today Come take responsiblity And say sorry Oops, I just forgot you're cray We never want to see you Ever again We wish you could leave right now! Do you wanna leave by portal? It doesn't have to be a portal... Just say bye... **Next verse could be sung by Snow, Charming, Henry, or anyone else, or Emma again... Do you wanna stop being A psycho murderer And someone who blames everyone Except yourself Can you please just go away? No one wants to watch you Cry again Spare us another sob Do you wanna leave by Shadow? And no one likes your lasagna... Just please scram...
  3. I wonder if Hans and his brothers have a kingdom in the Enchanted Forest, or if they come from elsewhere. I don't particularly like Misthaven as a name... it sounds too pedestrian. Maybe the trolls could have referred to it as the Woods Across The Sea. Plus it's just so vague. The Enchanted Forest is a huge place, rendering the Troll's information almost pointless. As I said in the episode thread, it's like telling someone to go to Asia or Europe to look for someone.
  4. Yes, sadly, they had heavily used Snow for that purpose even as early as 3A.
  5. That's a good idea. Since I didn't know the dates from the movie, I really thought they were picking up right after the Frozen movie from the dialogue in Arendelle. So what was the reaction of the town when Elsa announced the Royal Wedding tomorrow is cancelled because Anna went on a mysterious journey the purpose of which we cannot disclose.
  6. Wow, these are such complimentary adjectives, LOL. I'll go with O for Offensive, or at least borderline offensive.
  7. I was just wondering about this, since I couldn't remember exactly the movie's chronology. I wonder how much/how little thought was put into those 2 extra years. Please don't tell me they did so little homework they didn't even check the number of years from the animated movie. When Elsa "found" her parents' diary, I was wondering why they didn't at least have the diary hidden under a bunch of stuff. How could she not have seen it before?
  8. The first "A long time ago" was strangest because that's usually used when the time is indeterminate and far in the past. Yet once we know who Anna meets in the Enchanted Forest, we would actually be able to calculate exactly when that "a long time ago" was. Which I'm assuming actually wasn't that long ago. The 5 years later thing wasn't that incomprehensible, just weird. Like a math teacher asking, "What do you get when you add five years to 'A long time ago'?"
  9. I'm just looking at the episode title for Episode 2. I don't read any spoilers and I even avoid previews. I'm hoping the entire episode isn't about Regina trying to use different brands to white-out the whole Book.
  10. I just rewatched the Rumple scenes since I was a bit confused. So Rumple froze Belle to put the real dagger back in her giant-ass purse. But why put the fake dagger back in his jacket pocket? Or did I get that backwards? I also found it funny right before the scene with Elsa and Anna's parents on the boat, it says "A long time ago..." Not even bothering to work out exactly when that was now, eh? (seriously speaking, I do understand that's their central mystery this season and they wouldn't want to reveal exactly where in everyone's timeline the Frozen flashbacks take place, though I think most of us can guess).
  11. Thanks for the reminder. I guess the writers felt whether or not Regina took the call was irrelevant to the action? Though one would think taking Henry's call could have made her think twice about letting the snow monster kill Marion. She still seemed pretty obsessive afterwards, even though she changed to the plan of finding the book's author. I guess Henry and Emma are still staying at Granny's. I wonder if we will finally see that dropped S2 plot about finding a house, or if they want to keep Snow's loft. I suppose they could just move in across the hall, by saying a neighbor vacated. I was hoping to see some discussion about all of that in this episode. How did Snow know Emma was "with" Hook. Did Emma tell her about the kiss? When would that have been?
  12. I wonder if he sneaked off to talk to Regina in the morning, or if he had Marion's blessing.
  13. The bonus clips are banned for us in Canada too. And the network that airs "The Amazing Race" doesn't post the bonus clips on their website, only the episode (for 6 days). Thanks for the heads-up for the YT search. I liked both those teams with Shoeless and Clueless, and I really hope they both learn from their mistakes. I think the Clueless dating couple did learn from it, and they will double check from here on out. Interesting how the fireman called them "good people", though we completely didn't see the context. Finding those pieces in the water... wow, were they lucky or what. I think that would have made the episode more intense for sure. I guess because of the three quitters at the end, they made that the climax. I'm not sure if the Shoeless duo learned to read the clue, since they seemed really confused when their boat stopped at that location. One of them already made a mistake by digging at the anchor instead of using the compass.
  14. Aww, I was sure we would get a flashback to how Marion got captured, and why Robin thought he was responsible. I did expect most of it from Regina's POV but I expected they would give him one centric to explain the situation. Though I'm not sure how they can logically fit it in without pushing Frozen to the side, which is risky since Frozen fans might tune out.
  15. I agree. The whole book's author thing makes no sense. We don't even know where each story "ends". For example, did the Cinderella story in the Book end with her getting married (that would be a happily ever after). But we now know that after the marriage, Rumple tricks Cinderella into giving him her newborn and Prince Thomas disappears and Cinderella is left all alone. Was that the ending in the book? Has the book now added the part about after the Curse was broken by Emma? Or not? I seriously doubt that the book actually has recorded everything new that has happened since the Curse broke. It seems to be a record of the stories from back in the Enchanted Forest. The most popular theory from Season 1 was that the Blue Fairy wrote the book, when she went off to do "preparations" before the Curse. Clearly, the writers aren't going there since if Regina went to Author Blue and asked to have her happy ending written into the book, Blue would probably say no way in hell.
  16. Since Henry has been made into such a Regina-cheerleader, I'm surprised they don't have him trying to spend time with Regina? Henry made absolutely no move towards that direction at all in this episode. Isn't it due time for another pep talk rendition of "You're a hero"? After all, it has been more than 8 hours since the last one. He seems to be afraid Regina might turn evil, so why wouldn't he try to spend time with her in her hour of need? Would she have time to go seek out Sidney and devise her plan of getting rid of Marion and/or finding the author of the book if Henry was always at her side?
  17. A&E's strategy from what we saw in 4x01 in that regards is to create as many Captain Swanners, Outlaw Queeners and maybe Rumbellers out of the new Frozen folk as possible.
  18. I want to see the Blue Fairy laughing at Tinkerbelle after finding out Marion showed up.
  19. Snow made no sign that she had any idea who Marion was. So how did Marion know where Snow was? Is Snow going to learn the true story of how Marion defended Snow to The Evil Queen?
  20. Robin Hood thought he got Marion killed because she was involved in her job. Surely, he must have apologized to Marion by the next morning. But we never got to see it. So... if they're delaying it for episode 3 or whenever, wouldn't it be weird timing, since why would Robin and Marion wait to discuss the issue of why/how she died? I'm assuming they will be doing a flashback to show what really happened. I understand they need to put "Frozen" front and center, but this really hurts the character of Robin Hood, and makes the story unnatural. Not that there's much more to destroy at this point.
  21. Now that I've read the original story, I can understand why the "Frozen" movie changed the story so much. I'm not sure how that could be made into a simple movie. I'm also not sure what elements from the story "Once" can include. The Snow Queen character was very vaguely described. It is unclear what her motivations were. I do like the idea of the pieces of the magic mirror getting into people's eyes and giving them a pessimistic view of the world, and making them cold and unfeeling. That might work better than a frozen heart, since by this point, who cares if your heart is frozen when you don't even need one to live and love anyway.
  22. Plus A&E's clunky and impatient explanation that Zelena escaped the first Curse because she was in a Dome like Cora was. So Zelena made her own Dome? Why, when she could go back to Oz? Clear as mud as usual.
  23. If that's the case, could everyone have just fled the Enchanted Forest and taken refuge in Arendelle to escape Regina's first Curse? Or did that reduced geographical range only apply to the second Curse? And if so, why? And if they could reduce the geographical range, why not just restrict the range to Pointy Castle, and everyone else in the Enchanted Forest could stay put?
  24. I wrote this in the episode thread, but for the first time that I remember, they intimated that the "Enchanted Forest" was not a world/realm by itself. It's in the same "world" as Arendelle since Anna sailed to the Enchanted Forest on a ship. So what is the entire "world" called? Is the Enchanted Forest considered "enchanted" because there is more magic there than in other places? Is Agrabah from "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland" part of the same world as the Enchanted Forest? If Arendelle is in the same world as the Enchanted Forest, then presumably Arendelle's people were also taken over with the Curse? Or did the Curse only affect the people in the Enchanted Forest? I expect this question to be answered, at the very least.
