  1. Not quite. The actor of Jarvis in Endgame is the same one who was cast for Agent Carter (which basically acknowledges Agent Carter), and Agent Carter and AoS are closely connected.
  2. Btw, regarding Kingpin surviving in the end: He wears a bullet proof suit. So yeah, he is most likely still alive.
  3. I don't think that it contradicts AoS, because they most likely reuse the numbers of real or official diseased Agents after a few years. Otherwise they would have left the double digits a long, long time ago. And while Feige refuses so acknowledge the show officially (though, to be fair, he did and to a degree still does the same thing with the Netflix shows), it is notable that they only made a reference to the 19, and not to the name "Bobbie Morse", hence doing nothing which outright contradicts the existence of the (widely popular) Bobbie Morse AoS introduced.
  4. Hawkeye was putting Kate in danger and both got too close, there were more than enough reason to get rid of him. Regarding references (in this case a missed one), am I the only one who remembered the movie when "Ladyhawk" was posed as a possible name? If there is one thing to criticise the show than that it was more a set-up than anything else. But unlike the other shows, it didn't really feel that way most of the time, I guess mostly because really ALL characters were likable, and they all genuinely ended up at a different place and the show knew when it was necessary to allow some time to conclusion. There was nothing half-assed about the confrontation between Clint and Yelena. Nor was it overly long and wordy....certain other shows really missed the right line there, either being too rushed or just babbling on for too long.
  5. I guess it was mostly about finding information about Clint's family? I can imagine that Laura is officially dead. A retirement watch would ruin the illusion.
  6. In the eyes of AoS fans, it usually is! (And, btw, it is actually completely possible that the last seasons all happened before Infinity war...AoS got really wonky with its timeline towards the end).
  7. Kingpin's bane are heroes with disabilities....
  8. So, I just checked...I am down to 83. Small explanation: A few years ago, someone gifted me a book called "Avengers: Lexicon of Superheroes" with “over 225 heroes and villains” (which means that there are 227 in it). That book not only had all the MCU heroes (and the most important villains) in it, it also proofed to be a really good guide into who might turn up in the future of the MCU. There are now only 83 heroes left which didn't make an appearance (or are scheduled to make one) yet. And most of them belong to specific groupings, like the Great Lake Avengers, the Savage Lands, Atlantis aso. There are only a handful "solo heroes" left. Marvel starts to run out of C-tier heroes. (outside of the ones they got back from Fox, naturally).
  9. And that is new how???? They have been blurring the lines for a while now...
  10. The owl was one step too far for me...but then, I am a little bit squirmy. Naturally the cops were incompetent. They are all (unless they are larpers or close friends of Matt Murdock, naturally) in the pocket of King Pin after all. Did we ever had an action movie which did THAT with the tree of the Rockefeller Center? And used the ice skating ring that effectively? I can't think of any but then, I am not that much into pure action movies... Count me in as loving the elevator scene. Not sure if I should be disappointed that Kate didn't do any accidental music on the giant piano or glad that they didn't go there. Somehow it makes total sense that Rich people wouldn't listen to the serving staff, but (in this particular world) to people in costumes. Though they should have all changed at the same time. Speaking of rich people, somehow I have the feeling that Armand the VII might turn up in the future. He was a little bit too present to just be a running gag. I keep rewatching the musical, and discover more and more details...like "hawkeye" having to push Caps shield slightly aside. Honestly, I have so much fun with that one (and I wouldn't be surprised if New Yorkers took to it specifically).
  11. Well, he isn't a "good guy". It is pretty obvious that he was interested in the marriage largely because of the money, and that his "job" is basically to charm other people. He just wasn't guilty of what Kate suspected him off otherwise.
  12. I wouldn't mind to see Jack again in the future as some sort of "grey" character...no morale whatsoever, but always ready to fight on Kate's side just for the fun of it. He is quite the conman, isn't he?
  13. Morbius and Kraven have been released? When?
  14. As Agents of Shield fan: She was "a" Agent of Shield and happened to have the same code as Mockingbird. But she is not Bobby Morse. Because there is already a perfect Bobby Morse.
  15. ...BEST END CREDIT SCENE EVER!!! And maybe the best Streaming show so far, because that one is the first one which really nailed the ending. I loved every bit of it. Though now I am completely convinced that Kate's father is actually alive and will turn up in the future. Completely the kind of guy who would take an opportunity to fake his death, leaving his wife to deal with the fallout.
  16. In AS he is Anyway does this movie mean that Sony got the Sinister Six idea out of their system?
  17. Anyway, I was really positively surprised by the movie. I didn't expect it to be so, well, emphatic, and to challenge Peter on such a deep moral level.
  18. I am kind of confused how the whole "everyone forgets you" thing, works. I mean, aren't there still records of him? Does he still have an ID? Wouldn't the ID shown him as being a relative of May? Also, I really hope that "heroes clean up their own mistakes" doesn't become a trend in the MCU.
  19. Which is exactly what AoS did so well. They managed to pull off a twist which totally made sense while also suprising the audience. Their trick was basically to draw so many red arrows in the air that you just overlooked the really, really big obvious one. Hence me saying that the other shows should learn a thing or two from the show. Like, AoS would have managed to make us like the mother so much that we wouldn't even consider her, while also dropping more than enough hints for the turn. Hawkeye did okay, but there were a few hints too much towards the mother to pull off this twist.
  20. It's less the logical plotting which bothers me about Black Widow and more that they go for the As for the mom: I wouldn't call it "subtle" - they REALLY should learn from AoS when it comes to plot twists - but at least it is believable that Kate wouldn't catch on. Not like, for example, Obediah, who was so obviously evil that it never made sense that Tony trusted him at all.
  21. So...colour me not surprised regarding the mother. I called it early. The picture of Kingpin was so blurry, I actually waited through the end-credits to check if it was the same actor. Yelena is great, certainly the best thing which came out of the (otherwise aggravating) Black Widow movie. The only thing I didn't quite get was why Kate didn't mention the "best shot is the one he didn't take" conversation with Clint. But otherwise, great conversation, and I really love how Yelena manages to be such a different character from Natasha. Though I am pretty sure she is currently headed for a certain team up of "grey" ti villainous characters, I doubt it will stay that way. Also I am wondering if the happiness of the "adoption" of the other black Widow lasted...I mean, if the parents of the child were snapped, that might cause a problem right? But I guess she was younger than five years...right? Not quite as exciting as the other set-ups for the finales so far, but that might be a good thing...less danger of a let-down.
  22. Clint and Natasha were both the kind of agents you dropped off behind enemy lines and expect the job done. Meaning: Clint might be not as good of a spy as Natasha is, BUT he is also not the kind of agent you need to give instructions to in order to get the job done. Case to point: Clint planning multiple heists for Loki. Btw, the whole "allow yourself to get captured to get information" is a page right out of Natasha's handbook. Clint just look waaaaay less cool doing it...
  23. IF it is the King Pin, he might simply not have been around during the Ronin period. It is possible that he got snapped away. It is likewise possible that the guy who killed Echo's father was the OTHER guy who is good with swords in the show, but this might be just another red herring, since it would be soooo much better if the show explored that the people Clint killed were more than just mobsters and at least some of them didn't deserve such a harsh punishment. Anyway, I liked this episode less than the ones before, because this one lacked the Christmas feeling. And I am not talking about snow here (though the chase scene looking like it was happening in summer didn't help), but just Christmas Songs in the background and one moment through a Christmas tree seller stand is not enough.
  24. That was a karate (or some other fighting sport) trophy. Which makes perfect sense, btw. Archers are expressive, but their main asset is the ability to stay calm under pressure, which is something you can learn later in life and be extremely successful in the sport. But for hand to hand combat, fencing aso, you need to start really, really early to rise to the top because there are certain aspects of it which are more difficult to learn later in life. This goes so far that we have by now a phenomenon with adults being more prone to falling badly when they get older because they didn't do the kind of sport as a child which would have given them a basic sense for balance which will apparently stay with you your whole life.
