  1. Bringing Peggy to the present would have really messed up another timeline though. It is not like her contribution to history haven't been important. I mean I love this plot for fanfiction, but not so much in the MCU..... The thing is, they could have had Steve stuck in the past and just making it back, they just could have made it a happy accident instead of a deliberate act. Just change the dialogue a little bit, and you can get the whole old Steve scene without the bitter taste to it.
  2. Frankly, the idea that American school children are "uncomfortable" with racism being mentioned in their classroom sound REALLY snowflakey considering that over here in Germany it is pretty common to do school trips to former Konzentration Camps.
  3. Too bad that he just skipped over the Ukraine crisis...but maybe he plans to address it more thoroughly in the future, hence he just mentioned it happening without any closer elaboration. Anyway, I am tired of the discussion around Critical Race Theory. Or, to be precise, I am tired of people claiming that it is actually taught in American schools when in reality, the American Education system desperately needs to address those topics instead of claiming that the Civil war was "about state rights" and basically skipping over the questionable parts of American history.
  4. Who knows...but I know why Bucky remains popular among fans, despite being constantly underwritten: Sebastian Stan. For one he puts so much feeling in every scene he is in, that he makes way more out of them than there are actually there. Just his reaction when he gets the new arm represented by T'Challa. It is just a look and a line, but there is so much pain in it. There is a lot you can guess from his performance which is never really said. And where the performance fails, he adds in his interviews. Remember the backpack of sadness?
  5. Or they could have lost him in time....but I guess they wanted the scene with old man Steve...
  6. Even if they wanted to keep the surprise in Endgame, they could have addressed in in Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
  7. I don't think that anyone was really happy with Steve going back in time. After all, one of the main complains fans had about Civil war was that it sidelined the relationship between Steve and Bucky in favour of everyone else. (And then they did the same in Infinity War. And then in Endgame. And then they didn't even have the decency to give Bucky the time he deserved to conclude his arc properly in Falcon in the Winter Soldier... What is it with the writers pushing Bucky aside?
  8. Oh, btw, I enjoyed Eternals. It could have been better, but I very much hope for a sequel.
  9. I don't think that anyone was screaming particularly loud about Steve and Peggy as the only possible endgame. It's more the way the mistreat Sharon which might be influenced by fans who are way too hung up over a relationship which isn't really weird at all. At least not weirder than having a relationship with the sister or cousin of your ex. Anyway, I can respect directors or actors who prefer to work in another direction. But I can't stand this kind of sneering over movies the audience loves, because what those people are actually claiming is that the audience are a bunch of sheeples which are easily pleased and wouldn't recognise a good movie anyway. In reality, it is very difficult to make ONE movie which connects to the audience, never mind making over 20 of them.
  10. Well, they aren't really needed anymore, are they? We know have Superheroes turning up in each other movies all the time. And IF they do another BIG Team up movie, they can always call it something else.
  11. In the US maybe, but in other countries, there is only Disney Plus. Star is included, Hulu not even available, hence pretty much everything ends up on Disney Plus.
  12. It's a little bit surprising that Hawkeye still drove new subscribers...one would have thought that Marvel fans already went in for the other shows and movies. But maybe Christmas was a factor there too...
  13. As long as Peter and Neal are still alive, you could still do a sequel. Would just be a very sad one...
  14. Someone spoiled a post credit scene? Now I am so glad that I have started to avoid this kind of Marvel news....
  15. Stuff sometimes happens at the same time in the MCU. For example, The incredible Hulk, Ironman 2 and Thor overlap, most of the plot of Doctor Strange is set after Civil war BUT the accident actually happens beforehand, and since both Black Widow and Black Panter are set within the month after Civil War, it stands to suspect that they overlap too. Though I guess I would watch Black Widow first, since it is more of a continuation of the story as Black Panther ist.
  16. ...honestly, I don't care either way, because BOTH are set directly after Civil war, the movies basically happen around the same time.
  17. Mmm...three movies, six shows. That's a lot of content.
  18. Yeah, pretty much every newspaper aso is dated 2013.
  19. That and Ironman 3 is covered in props which show the year 2013, even though it is clearly 2012 still. It's not really believable that Tony wouldn't sleep for nearly two years.
  20. Yeah, I take this one with a grain of salt anyway, mainly because I would put Ironman 3 before Thor 2, not after.
  21. As long as Sony's other movies make less than the ones they do with Marvel, I doubt that they will be THAT delusional. And Marvel is very much aware that with Tony and Steve being retired and T'Challa no longer being an option due to real life issues, Spider-man is the best draw they have. Hence them using him to advertise for Doctor Strange.
  22. How long does it take to study at MIT? Because frankly, I expect a time jump before the next movie anyway. Granted, we are already in 2024 in the reality of the MCU, but eventually real time will catch up again. Though frankly, it would make sense that now that Peter Parker doesn't really exist anymore, that Black Cat will be introduced. She is after all the one love interest who only cares about Spider-man.
  23. Shoot out for the poor guy who had to work at Christmas and THAN had to deal with two ladies fighting their way through his cubicle....
  24. Well, for starters, Carol knows Monica, and Monica and Yelena have a lot in common regarding the snap. Carol can provide Yelena the perspective of someone who "let someone down". Plus, we need more members for the Sex and the City fantasy....
