  1. Aaaaand the A-Team has arrived...I wonder if that will also be the inspiration for the title sequence….good, I really want an 80s sequence with the catchy music and the explosions….
  2. Yeah, it was pretty clear that India was mostly there due to her feud with Derrick, which fizzled out pretty fast. And hadn't there be this undeserved win in the first week, I think she would have been voted out earlier too. She was always tethering something in the bottom after all.
  3. Or they are tricking us into thinking that this will be the fun episode but in reality there is a gut punch waiting.
  4. Yeah, Cracker reminds me of Trixie in this regard...both think that they are comedy queens, but their actual talents are elsewhere. Trixie works well in tandem with Katya, but that is because Katya is extremely good in comedy, and Trixie is the perfect "straight men" for her, but she herself isn't really funny. She is a great singer (honestly, she should focus on that, because most Queens are terrible singers or at best decent, but Trixie's voice is truly divine) and a good moderator, plus, she has crafted a very distinct Charakter for herself, but she is simply not funny. Cracker on the other hand is very creative, and I think she is pretty good in writing the jokes, but she just doesn't manage to deliver the jokes.
  5. Possible. It looked familiar to me, too.
  6. They used the same actor for young Gideon, so most likely not. I just hope that Nathaniel died. The timeline is messed up as it is, but I can just believe that it can go back on track if Mack and Deke spend some time to slow down the technological push the chronicons gave S.H.I.E.L.D. Hopefully we get a breather this week. The last episode felt like a kind of mid-season finale.
  7. Yeah, I always hate it when there are cliques in the workroom. I know that it makes for good story-arcs, but I usually prefer stories about a queen coming into herself with the help of others. What I don't understand is that after so many seasons a lot of them have still not figured out what works best. And that there is still a long list of celebrities which would be gold for a challenge like this and yet have never been done. After so many seasons your would think that they have covered the "hits", but the contestants have a tendency to either repeat celebrities (three times Eartha kid, two times Britney spears - granted both were good performance, three time Beyonce, two times Lady Gaga, and those are just the ones on top of my mind), or copy other queens (but I guess since Michelle mentioned that she doesn't really like that this has thankfully stopped), or go really obscure.
  8. Even if it was a miscommunication, you either bring it up directly when it happens or you don't bring it up at all. The timing was shady on India's part either way. One thing for sure, it becomes more and more clear how screwed up the judging in season 2 was. Jujube deserved so much more. I hope she gets the win this time around, though I fear that Ru might be set on Shea.
  9. Yeah, I agree, I was initially eyerolling about doing Eartha Kidd AGAIN especially with the "I like cats" explanation because she is so much more than just Cat Woman, but Juju in the end delivered that little bit more. She is truly the master of understated humour, making a scene flow off the cuff. I wonder if the did a lot of improp in the past. I think there are three rules every Queen should think of when picking a character for snatchgame: 1. Don't pick someone with an understated personality 2. Don't pick a comedian (and if you do, don't try to do an act of said comedian, but an over the top act of said comedian. For Ellen for example I would have insulted myself in a very over the top manner at every opportunity, because that's what she does, most of her humour comes from making herself smaller than she is, so it could have been funny to draw attention to that by doing it over the top). 3. ALWAYS have a backup I have to add: I think that iconic characters are better than more obscure ones. Because honestly, just might make Ru laugh with the more obscure ones, but the audience in general, they are easily lost with those. But I think what most queens don't understand is that the most important thing is to notice the little habits personalities have, and then to overstate them. Quote are fine, but they are in itself not funny.
  10. They barely have time to sleep under normal circumstances...I am not sure if they had ANY downtime since the backend of season 4.
  11. Well, at least you can trust Cracker to make the most even out of a failure. Honestly, if India was truthful or not only matters in relation to Alexis anyway. Because even if it was true, it was extremely shady to keep it to herself and then bring it up the moment she thought that she had an opportunity to throw Alexis under the bus. So throwing her out was the smart thing to do, both to protect yourself and to not lose the approval of the audience who would have considered it pretty unfair if Alexis had gone after a somewhat good week.
  12. Yeah, they put the bar with the title card/sequence so high that a simple "scifi" card really didn't do it. Of all the episodes this was also easily the least distinctive.
  13. Lol...I missed most of the discussion in the workroom so I didn't know who she would be. When I saw her I first thought that she is trying to be Madonna Evita style. I was really disappointed when it was revealed that she was going for Gaga, especially Madonna offers up so much more material. Even if she is a very common choice.
  14. Yeah, though it is pretty easy to "own" those kind of "fans" by saying thank you for letting you walk on rose petals. I loved the idea of having an "in tears" make-up, but that look should have gone with the most princessy prom dress of them all. She could have then walked down the runway taking apart one of those flower thingies girls wear at prom. You know, the typical heartbreak moment. As it is, I had a flashback to what she wore when Mimi lifted her, except that it was the dress version of that look. Granted, a little bit less tacky, but why did she think that those extra-large breasts would read in any way "prom" and not "weird BDSM witch"?
  15. Mmm, I have the same problem. Honestly, I kind of like all those queens less than I used to. Other than Jujube, that is. But I don't remember Shea that arrogant, Blair used to be "sweeter", I don't remember Alexis being that manipulative (not that I believed India in this instance, she was playing up something to protect herself), and Cracker, well, Cracker is still like she always was I guess, but her attempts at self-editing are now even more obvious than they used to be.
  16. Maybe. So far I put it down to them simply not having the time but yeah, I guess they would need Fitz.
  17. One thing for sure: For India it might have been better to continue to be known of the Queen who was lifted up. That is always the risk with All Stars, it can give you a boost, but it can also tarnish your reputation.
  18. It would be nice to have a breather, just long enough to get Sousa up to speed and give him a proper prosthetic, damnit. Maybe that will happen off-screen next week?
  19. First things first: Ru's Runway look this week was divine! It has been a lot time since she really made me sit up in the seat, but this one was just perfect. The old fashioned silhouette made modern by the pattern and colours used, it was glorious. Also, I think that white suits her even better than fifty shades of blonde. Now the snatch game...for starters, I was kind of surprised to realise how many queens in were still left who never had done a snatch game and if Mayham had still be around, she would have been another one. The moment Cracker said that she would do Lady Gaga, I knew that she was in trouble. Gaga is great to reference on the runway, but as person, there is actually not that much to her. Even her so called "scandals" are most likely carefully moderated. Of all attempts to do her, Cracker's was the best in that she had a little bit more than a costume, but that is a really low bar to jump. In general the snatch game wasn't really my thing, but I guess Alexis did the best. No idea who she was even referencing, but she was the most quick-witted. Still nobody taking on Kelly Ann Conway. Sooooo disappointed…the window to do her is closing fast. The runway...honestly, I didn't get why Cracker got so much critique and Alexis so much praise. Cracker's dress might have been a little bit showgirly, but I can see an awkward teen picking it for all the bedazzle. Alexis dress didn't look like prom at all, and how often have we seen this kind of dress now? Boooooooooring. Jujube did the best. I mean, the dress made her look awkward, but, well, it is supposed to be a prom dress, right? Would have loved the Carrie reference if it had actually been a Carrie reference. Shea REALLY needs to get over this flower moment. Yes, it was iconic, but it is NOT like Sasha came from behind. Here is the thing: Ru tends to look for winners who are as different as possible from the previous ones, someone, who brings something "new". And in Shea's season only Valentina and Sasha fulfilled that particular brief. Shea is a fierce queen, but her style back then didn't have the "only Shea can do this" feeling. She got closer to this since then, though, so I guess she qualifies as a forerunner THIS season, but her attitude is really off-putting. The whole Alexis story...one thing for sure, at least Mayham though that the group would turn against Shea. She said so in the confessional. If Alexis actively tried to convince other queens to vote for Shea...if I understand India's story correctly, she asked her AFTER she already voted, right? So, I guess they might have wanted it, but they haven't really tried to get a majority? Jujube is really enjoying playing around with all the drama, though. I love how genre savvy she is.
  20. They missing scenes for Falcon and the Winter Soldier were supposed to be filmed in Europe right?
  21. ...The only thing AoS and LoT have in common is that they are both doing time travel. That's it. LoT hasn't invented this concept. There are a chunk of time travel shows which are closer to AoS than LoT is. Deke's existence is not tied to "bumping lemons". If that were the case he had vanished at the end of season 5. He himself was the one who brought the multiverse theory up.
  22. Eh, no. The question is always if it is a ripple or a wave. Or, to put it differently: it doesn't matter if the characters roughly end up in the same place in the end. As long as the timeline isn't changed enough that there is still a Mack who time travelled back at one point, everything is okay, even though Mack and brother will now remember different childhoods. It's kind of like parting a string. It doesn't matter that you did it as long as it joins back at one point.
  23. You know, this could be the plot of next episode, Mack and Deke trying to stop the technological progress. Soooo 1980s.
