  1. I fear for Micah in the real world of modeling. He is so naive and innocent and while it seems he has grown up a bit he is still incredibly immature and the perfect target to be taken advantage of. In this case, his looks and physique will work against him instead of for him as he's not equipped to live in the world with these things working in his favor. It's like he was given keys to a Ferrari and has only learned how to ride a tricycle. Moriah may be equally unprepared for the world but she has somehow managed to develop slightly better street smarts, probably learned by living her life primarily in secret in an oppressive household. While the show seems heavily scripted, you can't fake that level of discomfort or silent rage they had towards their parents during that super awkward conversation. These are kids in desperate need of therapy and some good guidance from someone who can show them the ropes of how to navigate their new lives. It's al so terribly sad.
  2. I have one question. Where do they plug the dad in to recharge at night?
  3. It was red food coloring.
  4. Oh goodness, yes, of course! Duh. Please ignore my momentary stupidity.
  5. I was surprised by this too. There are too many storylines just to keep certain characters in rotation and they are creating situations I don't really care about as much to do it. If it wasn't for the funny exchange with Joel and the Chinese couple and the cash, I really didn't care about this club/underground gambling room or the woman who was facilitating the exchange. I'd be perfectly happy with Joel becoming a secondary character who eventually drifts away in future seasons. We didn't learn enough about him before he left Midge for me to be at all invested in his redemption arc and I find the "will they, won't they get back together" tedious.
  6. Here's what's not tracking for me and maybe you all can help me. Last season, Rose left to go to Paris and lived quite a bohemian lifestyle. Abe and Midge came to bring her back and Abe went along with her life to please Rose but eventually convinced her to come home. I get that by the end of season 2, Abe embraced a past part of his life that he was looking to resurrect, but what I am having a hard time reconciling is Rose's struggle with it given she was ready to drop it all and live a bohemian life in Paris. If you look at it that way, it would seem she would be perfectly happy with Abe leaving his job. Of course, granted, they'd lose the apartment, but I'm talking more her difficulty with Abe's lifestyle and mentality change vs. where they live. I mean, certainly, they could just go back to Paris or even live a more carefree life in NY in a smaller place with less of the trappings of a high end lifestyle. It just seems like they are asking us to erase everything about Rose from early in season 2 and now she's back to being a rigid trust fund lady who lunches. Maybe it's just me, but did anyone else have a hard time with all this tracking? One last small thing, more an annoyance. You mean to tell me that not once did the lawyer hear Midge's last name and connect that she might be related to his friend Abe? Maisel isn't exactly as common as Smith or Johnson. I can sort of let that one go, but it did strike me as odd.
  7. Cher's Mother: (paraphrasing) "I want to look young so my grandbaby will like me and want to play with me." Jeez, they come out of the womb shallow in this family.
  8. That's a show that was before its time. I just watched recently and enjoyed it more than when it originally aired
  9. My money is on the twins doing it. Does anyone have a count of how many times they used a shot of a car driving over that bridge throughout the season? Seriously, I am expecting the bridge to get named on the credits, it is used so often to transition scenes. At first I assumed we were being set up for something like one of the Monterey 5 going over it while driving in rage to get to one of the secret meet-ups to agree, again, to keep to the story.
  10. North Jersey originally too! Don't forget the Jersey Shore. Sure many of them didn't come from NJ, but it still didn't make the state look particularly good either.
  11. They used to be on my cringeworthy list, but they really do seem to fit. This show has been a huge redemption arc for them.
  12. So in the coming attractions for next week: Corey does magic. Because that will help.
  13. Interesting you would say that. In addition to Dean and Tarik, I like her. She can be a bit extra, and maybe it's the accent and how she gets tripped up on common American idioms, but I find her amusing. I'm better a show called 90 Day Fiance: Annie Cooks in Bed is on the horizon. Something about cooking stinky food where you sleep sort of squicks me out, but I do find it funny when she breaks out all her paraphernalia.
  14. I figured because they said "wolf in sheep's skin" that is what threw them? Of course, a person of average intelligence would be able to figure out what they meant.
  15. Ha! If she tries to make herself any younger she’ll be a fetus. Who is she fooling?
