  1. That defendant in the first case was an absolute I D I O T!!!! I SO wanted to jump through the screen and slap him as hard as I could. He was making absolutely no sense whatsoever, but thinks he is so smart. It never even crossed my mind that he wanted the grow boxes for mj, but now that you guys mention it, that makes perfect sense! How did he come up with all the BS about the plaintiff "stalking" him and trying to steal his identity? Paranoid much? I mean, he did admit that he and his g-ma (who I think he said he lives with) were paranoid people. Still, after buying something from a total stranger on EBAY and asking them to deliver it to your home address and then not paying the guy, what in the world did you expect? The plaintiff had to have a certain amount of the guy's information just to finish the transaction and deliver the item. I get annoyed very easily and the def's lisp bugged me. It seemed as if it were a physical issue and not an affectation, but... I was trying to tell if he was gay. He did have some feminine mannerisms, so I suspect he is. Either way, a total moron who apparently doesn't realize how stupid he is, even after losing the case.
  2. The husband in the case of the wedding disaster was strangely silent, even in the hallway. I have a feeling that woman wears the pants in the family. Even his demeanor and overall look say that she runs his life. Maybe that is the way he likes it, but I really have to feel sorry for him. I suspect at some point in the future she will get fed up having a floor mat for a husband and cheat on him. The limousine being late was, I think an omen for what may be an unhappy marriage. (Maybe I'm reading too much into this? Maybe....) The defendant in the child support case looked either very bored or half asleep. She honestly didn't seem to care what was going on at all. MM is usually very good at getting a response from litigants to help liven up the show and create some drama, but this defendant didn't take the bait. I enjoy watching TPC, but sometimes MM really gets on my nerves. She seems to have ADD really bad as she jumps from one train of thought to the next so quickly. I should know, I have the same problem myself, and it annoys ME!!! She tends to steamroll litigants and change direction so quickly they tend to get confused and lost. Like yesterday when the tree lady was winning, but didn't realize it because MM was moving ahead so fast. I know it's not real court, but she was a real judge. I sure as hell would never in a million years go on any of these tv court shows if I wanted to be taken seriously and get real justice. That being said, I am glad that so many stupid and frivolous cases that we see on TPC don't end up clogging up our local court system that is already so overloaded, in part due to the idiots like the ones that end up on TPC.
  3. OK, this really bothers me and scares me. Do you think MM would get away with that in real court? Do you think she DID get away with that in real court? My guess is probably not as openly as here, but I would say it most definitely influenced her decisions when she was a "real" judge. There is NO CALL whatsoever to let sympathy for a litigant or disdain for a litigant based on gender, age, race, political affiliation, religion, attractiveness, ect. color the way the judge treats the litigant as far as receiving justice. It makes me scared to think of how many cases were unfairly ruled on by her because of her personal biases/feelings. It also makes me terrified to think of how many judges on a daily basis throughout America let their biases/feelings determine the outcome of a case. I know locally here where I live, everyone hates our judges because they keep letting criminals back out time and time again only to be re-arrested for the same or similar crimes and then let out again (an on and on). The judges liberal bias is putting all law abiding citizens here at risk, and many times some innocent will pay for it with their life.
  4. Oh, and how about Doug in the hallway after the third case. BRUTAL!! He asked the defendant if she was embarrassed to be sued in court. She said no, not really. Then he said "Well, you should be!" I love Doug so much. He can say just about anything and get away with it because of his laid back gentle attitude. SOOOO much better than old what's his name? Kurt, I think. The guy who still does the intro voiceovers.
  5. Watching the third case today makes me so glad I am not young anymore. The plaintiff just annoyed the *#!@ out of me. I know she is only 19, but still. First off, why does it seem like most young girls have to talk a mile a minute and hardly pause for breath? This girl started out at about 60 MPH talking. I know she's nervous and all, but it seems a trait you see quite often in younger girls. Second (and this is one of my many pet peeves), why does every sentence have to start with "So"? I see more and more younger people doing this. Why not just go ahead and say what you are going to say? Why preface it with the word so? I guess cuz everyone else is doing it too! Third (another pet peeve) why does every sentence end like a question? I believe it is called uptalk. I makes me think of the way a Valley girl would speak. Not good!! All that being said, she does seem like a pretty responsible young woman. She seems to have a good solid father figure (her Dad) and isn't even afraid to go to court. So, hopefully she will grow out of the annoying traits of young people. *Sigh* I guess I am getting old and crotchety. (Excuse me a moment) *hollers* "Hey you kids, get off my lawn!" Ahem, now where was I? First case. With a costume designer and a cross dresser involved, I sure figured there would be more attitude and 'sass' thrown around than there was. Boy, the defendant sure lit up when MM complimented him on looking good in the outfit though. Giggled like a little school girl!
  6. I love how even your quicky recaps are so thorough! Watching the People's Court wouldn't be half as fun without heading over to primetimer and reading your recaps later in the day. Thank you!
  7. Hey everyone, first post here. I have been lurking and enjoying all the "snark" from you guys for a long time. Thank you, especially SRtouch and AngelaHunter for all your in-depth analysis of these morons on the show. About today's rerun. In the second case about the cell phone. I could swear the plaintiff said OPtober instead of OCtober several times. I don't have DVR, could one of you that has the show recorded go back and see if I am correct? If not, no biggie, just wondered if I was hearing things. I went back to the Sept. 3rd 2018 comments (when this episode first aired) and didn't see anyone mentioning it. Anyway, thanks again to all the commenters here for your entertaining recaps of TPC shows. I may not post but every now and then, but know I am enjoying reading what you all have to say.
