It's nice to see that Meghan is for paid maternity leave, but it also seems like Meghan won't be for anything until she suffers through it herself. She hated talking about pregnancies, children & motherhood, which made Abby run away, now that she's experienced it she's okay with talking about it. And loves to talk about it. She was on paid mat leave and wants that for everyone, but a while ago she was against it. Until Meghan goes through things she'll never fight for it and that's messed up.

Why do they keep entertaining Bolton on this show? The man is a garbage person.

Colin Kaepernick is another example of someone the right canceled and who lost his job in the process.

I might agree with that assertion, but in the clip they played and in the full clip above, he had pictures of people who were called out and some of them had every right to be called out. He had a picture of Louis C.K. who was masturbating in front of women. Ellen who was horrible to her staff. Chris Matthews equated Bernie to the Nazis which was deplorable and apparently apologizing for that is ridiculous to Bill Maher. Woody Allen is accused of sexually abusing his step child and groomed his other child into being his wife. Meghan Kelly said some racist stuff too. All of these people were held accountable to their own bad actions, but this is apparently a bad thing to Bill. Ana's point that this messaging hurt Democrats is something Sunny tried to counter, because everyone who stood for Defund the Police won their seats. Unfortunately, due to the time constraints, she wasn't able to push back on that narrative.

I appreciate that Sunny disagreed with Bill Maher, mainly because I disagreed with him too and thought his whole spiel was based on privilege and arrogance, but the format at the moment gives no one time to have a conversation or discussion. Each person is asked a question and they answer. The format hasn't worked for awhile, but they refuse to change it. Whoopi should bring up the topic and have everyone discuss it openly, but then again the View can't even do the remote thing properly with everyone having delays so maybe this is the only way to stop that.

There's a delay, but they also talk over the guest and don't let them finish what they are trying to say.

Mat leave is still mat leave, so I don't think it's fair to attack Meghan for being able to stay home and just be with her baby. Not many people have the same privileged, and not many have the privileged to be able to work in such an easy job, but if she wants to take time off then that should be accepted.

Ah. I was wondering why Meghan was back.

It's just a shame since other shows managed to dress up even though they were at home.

How boring, I thought they'd at least dress up, but we got nothing but a crown.

Whenever Ana or the others bring up looting and rioting and how it's not acceptable, I just tune them out. You can't bring up that when people are being murdered with no consequence. Don't talk to me about buildings when people who look like me are being killed.

Not to mention that she herself partook in this very culture, by trying to cancel multiple people who disagreed with her only to cancel herself when people pushed back. I'm watching some of the clips off of YouTube, since I didn't watch the show aside from that cancel culture part, but I feel like the View might continue having Bari on. She talks more in a calm manner, but she's worse than Meghan IMO. But since Meghan isn't on, I expect to see her at least one more on the VIew.

Bari Weiss looking solemn as they discuss cancel culture....yet the only one who canceled Bari was herself so I don't understand why she's looking so hurt by this, when she's the one who inflicted it on herself. Make it make sense.

Jackson is most likely there to promote his mini-series, Enslaved, which is all about the slave trade. So I would recommend tuning in for that.

Tuesday, Oct. 27 – Bari Weiss guest co-hosts; Jon Meacham (“The Soul of America”) ...y'all put it out in the world and now the View did it. I hope you guys are happy with yourselves.

I've been avoiding the View this week and watched the Real. There was a moment when I was watching the Real when the commercial came on and I went to do something, only to rush back because the show came back. I decided to watch the View today to see what they said about the debate and the commercials are killing me. I just can't understand why they have so many commercials. I could go to the washroom, do a number 2, take a shower, change, go out and buy some groceries, go to work, take a book out of the library and by the time I get home there's still another commercial playing. This is too much.

I agree with Sara regarding the Pelosi/Wolf interview. Pelosi, whether she's right or wrong (and I won't say my opinion due to it being OT) she didn't come off well in that interview. This was maybe the first time I've seen her properly challenged and she didn't handle herself well at all. Came off as snarky and angry. And she accused Wolf of being a Republican apologist because he quoted Ro Kanna...who is a Dem.

On Monday, Ana tells us that Republicans are using ACB's religion as a talking point to make her look like a victim. This was something Meghan said multiple times before mat leave. On Tuesday, Cindy tells us that getting Trump out is more important and doesn't try to justify why Republicans are still holding water for him. Something Meghan was unable to do throughout her time on the View. None of this makes Meghan look good, so I'd imagine ABC will get someone who peddles for Trump to guest co-host next week as a means to make Meghan look better in comparison.

I liked that Ana brought up the fact that Republicans are using Amy Coney Barrett's religion as a way of making her a victim, when there are Democrats who are Catholic and it doesn't matter. Meghan kept using this to attack Sara, so I appreciated that Ana made a point to say that this wasn't something we should acknowledge. There's no religious persecution happening here. She did lose me when she brought up being who didn't vote for Hillary or people who voted Green as a dig for the reason why we have Trump, when at the end of the day the system is extremely flawed. You can't blame third party voters when the electoral college, gerrymandering & voter suppression happen. I wish people would bring this up more often instead of blaming non voters or third party voters.

Do you think Cindy says "My husband" as much as Meghan says "My father?"

Joy: We only got an hour. Me: I don't know about that, it feels more like 28-33 mins with the amount of ads ABC piles on the show.

I feel like this season has had more commercials than before. It was bad before, but the amount of ads they have during the breaks are insane.

Nancy Pelosi is on tomorrow, but I thought Anita Hill was suppose to be on? Double booking guests just mean that they have limited time to speak.

Whoopi, Halloween means you're interacting with people and that's dangerous. For Ramadan, we were at home instead of the masjid, so Halloween shouldn't be any different.
